  Biggest problem reported with Palm Desktop 6.2.2 is turn off your computer with the program remains open.  This can cause the problem you describe.

  When I try to install Palm Desktop 6.2 by running PalmDesktopWin62.exe everything seems to be okay until the 'configuration register.  Then I get a Microsoft Windows message that says: «...» "The wizard was interrupted before Palm desktop by access could be completely installed." ...".  Then the installation stops and installation is not the case.

  If it's important I use Windows Vista Home Premium.  And until I tried installing, I: uninstalled my previous versions of Palm Desktop by using the uninstall feature from the CD installation disc, disabled my antivirus, stop Windows Defender and set the compatibility mode of PalmDesktopWin62.exe to the option "Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

  I'm trying to access a hidden folder, C:\programdata\... I can't see it in Explorer. When I go into control panel > folder options > discovers... the option box to display hidden files and folders is already selected.

  I have a setup similar (Win10, Palm Desktop 6.2.2) and see the notes of service very good.

  Right-click on the column with all the icons (Date, address, etc.), then choose "Customize".

  See if memos somehow got unchecked.

  Also, be sure to try opening the application by right-clicking the shortcut to Palm Desktop, then choose "Run as Administrator".  Make sure that the data is displayed.

  I just got this Centro by Verizon two days ago.  I realized that Centro or Palm Desktop is updated if the Plam desktop is open or running.  If I close the Desktop and HotSync application, then the Centro and the office are updated.

  Is this a bug?  Or I have to change some set up or something?  The previous version of the Office Plam and Tungsten T obtain upated if the application is running or not.   I wish that the operation of the previous version.  Information, ideas, or comments on this would be appreciated.

  Older versions of palm desktop saved data after you he entered the office. Palm Desktop 6.2 does not have this feature, whenever you put data in palm desktop 6.2 it does not save data until you click on save and then get out of the Office of palm.   I can post to the wrong part of the forum, but I don't know where to post this.  I upgraded to the new office on my XP computer because I use on my Vista computer and Palm said that I need the same software on both.  In fact, I installed it on another XP computer and it works fine there.  On this computer I can synchronize the memos and addresses, but it will not perform a hot sync my calendar.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled, tried to synchronize each thing separately, and each time it synchronizes memos and addresses and never it synchronize the calendar, which by the way other computers with this software have no problem with.  Any suggestions?

  DbFixIt. It is most likely caused by corruption. Run DbFixIt and then sync with the lines set to handheld overrides desktop for BOTH machines. Make sure that the pipes are returned for synchronization after the first synchronization with each PC.

  Does anyone know what specific registry keys, files or directories need to be cleaned for this error to disappear when installing Palm Desktop 6.2?

  Note that I had a previous version 4.1.4, which was damaged.   I ran Windows Installer Clean-up as well as CCleaner, but neither seems to fix this.  I also have to search through the registry trying to find any key 'palm' persistent and those nuke.

  The article had a very good description of how to clean the registry where "junk" stayed since the previous installations of Palm Desktop Installer keys.  I could then go from 4.0.2 to 4.1.4 without a problem.

  For some reason, Palm Desktop suddenly displays only media. I can't see tasks, calendar or anything else. I don't see any way to display them. Hot sync works as always, but all I see is photos. This could have something to do with my having ran a registry cleaner recently. However, I reinstalled the program (using the repair option), and it still only displays images. What Miss me? I have to do a complete uninstall and reinstall?

  As mysteriously as the problem appeared, it has now disappeared. Everything is the display in Palm Desktop as it should. The only possible clue: earlier tonight a message appeared that Media Player had a problem and closes. Only Media Player is not running; around the same time, I had to reload my printer because it wouldn't print a document on hold. I guess something was messed up in Windows somewhere and this was Windows correcting itself.

  In my computer, you should see the HARD and CD /DVD. disc drive
  Usually the HARD drive or the partition of the HARD drive is listed as C and the CD/DVD drive must be registered as D or other letter.

  Depends on the partition created on the HARD drive because each partition is assigned to a certain letter.

  However, the letters are editable in the Windows operating system disk management.
  Make a right-click on desktop-> manage-> disk management

  Regarding the CD/DVD drive:

  Try these steps and check the result.
  Step 1: Check if the following registry value exists.
  a. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
  b. look for the following registry:
  Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
  Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
  c. click the SHOWALL folder in the left pane and check if the CheckedValue element is present in the right pane and if the value set on this is 1.
  d. If CheckedValue element is missing in the right pane, and then right-click in the empty area in the right pane, click New-> click on the DWORD (32 bit) If your computer is running 32-bit Windows, 64-bit by clicking another value.
  e. name the item that you created as CheckedValue.
  f. double-click CheckedValue element and type 1 in the value data box, and then click ok.
  g. close the registry editor and restart the computer.
  h. turn on hidden files and folders to see if it works.

  Important: Modifying the registry incorrectly will cause serious damage to the computer. Back up the registry until you make changes.

  Step 2: Online virus scanner and check the result
  a. visit the Scan of viruses online
