According to the specificationsof Apple, your model may use a maximum of 8 GB of memory, but you have installed 16 GB. The results are unpredictable. See, e.g.,this discussion of the CSA.

The Manual of the product gives instructions for adding memory to spare that read something like this:

You can add both modules of memory of 4 GB for a maximum of 8 GB of memory.

I know that the seller of spare RAM parts indicates that the configuration of out-of-spec will work. If you accept this insurance, please ask the vendor for assistance with any problems that arise. Otherwise, reinstall the original brief, or the new memory meets the official specs.

  • Occasional kernel panic crash.

I have occasional kernel panic events that trigger a crash and restart the computer. I'm running OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite. I did a recent permissions repair and got the message, "the SUID file ' System/Library/Core...as been modified and will not be repaired." "I flew over the line and the missing part of the message was, ' Services/Remote Management/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAgent h (as). "Is anyone know what that means, what should contain the SUID file and if this concerns the episodes of panic the kernel crashes, I have experience?

    Any help is appreciated.

Try to run this program, copy and paste the result in a response. The program was created by Etresoft, a regular contributor.  Use please copy and paste the screenshots can be difficult to read. • mail crashing el capitan 10.11.4

Apple Mail crashes 10 times per day without help or updates.  I resorted to using google mail that works very well.  I read the support and made some "fixes" such as the removal of the file of mail and reconstruction. Did this and it crashed an hour after that I went through this process.  It's my complaint number one I tell friends on my Mac Book Pro.  I think that El Capitan will provide an update which should fix this based on the 10 crash of the reports they receive from me a day (I can't be alone either).  Any help or recommendations (including better than apple mail applications) would be appreciated.

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

    Step 1

For this step, the title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

In the upper right corner of the Console window, there is a search box to filter. Enter the name of the application crashed or process. For example, if Safari has crashed, you would enter "Safari" (without the quotes).

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages since the time of the last fall, as appropriate. Copy to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost everything that is not relevant to solve a particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

    Step 2

In the Console window, clear the search box, and then select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ user

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports of incidents. The name of each report begins with the name of the process and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report on the process in question. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway. If the report is only a few lines, make sure that you have disabled the search box.

If you don't see any report, but you know, he had an accident, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report - they are very long and rarely useful.

When you post the journal excerpt or the accident report, you might see an error message on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

Would be great if someone could help me solve this kernel panic/crash...!

    Concerning

You could try and isolate the cause or help out as much as possible

and then at some point, if no front wheel drive can occur, arrange a visit to a

Apple Store with Genius (they can search on the computer) or an authorized Apple

Service provider; Among these are designations of premium or a specialist where

available which can also be permitted at Apple, companies independent retailers.

    • Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support

Any kernel panic messages and routines that can help to determine their cause

or their scope; and sometimes a way to solve...

    • OS X Yosemite: If your Mac restarts and a message

Read the link above and try what is suggested to see what details are drawn.

The first link shows Safe Mode instructions as a way to start + troubleshoot.

Something else to try to see if the effect is a software is to try another user account:

    • How to test a problem in another account user on your Mac - Apple Support

Other useful ideas and suggestions can be found in other related sources:

    • Generic "Resolve Kernel Panic" instructions + troubleshooting - the XLab:

    • Technical note TN2063: understanding and debugging the kernel panics:

    https://developer.Apple.com/library/Mac/TechNotes/tn2063/_index.html

Because hardware and software leads behind the kernel panics, the message

refers to a starting point. The technical Note shows details on debugging

or understand the messages coded; Although dating a bit it is a resource fair.

    At 01:30 Monday...

    Good luck to this issue!

  • Connection of several requests to reboot, crashes, breakdowns of mouse and a Bluetooth keyboard and other problems

What is happening these days with the Apple OS software?

Now up to a dozen connections different (clouds, messagehelper etc etc etc) some of which recur several times before finally accepting a dial-up connection and go.

    Frequent kernel panic / crashes.

Inexplicable failures of the mouse and the keyboard, especially with the Bluetooth Apple mouse (unresponsive, key in several characters without being hit, etc.)

More and more, my Mac (versions which I used since the 1 MB Mac Plus) behaves like a piece of scrap metal Windows.

I use the latest version of the software system on a late 2012 27 "iMac. I'm not running something strange or stressful on the system-it is a very 'vanilla' system And, Yes, I already have all the regular maintenance and troubleshooting tips. What is going on? The system just seems to be more bug and unstable on all fronts and worse yet with each new version of the system software.

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

    In the Console window, select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ System

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

    in the menu bar.

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports. A report of panic has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends with ".panic." Select the most recent. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

If you don't see any report, but you know, there was a panic, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway.

When you post the report, an error message may appear on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Faces random restart disaster photos

For nearly a decade, we have used our iPhoto as screen saver library on our iMac 2008 and identified thousands of faces among our 20 K photos. A month ago, we bought a replacement iMac and Apple just told me to throw all this time spent ID'ing faces if I want to stop the new iMac to restart randomly. He did this on average once a day like us he plugged. So we just put discarded 10s of 1000s of ID on 811 different people that my wife and I have spent years ID'ing. Apple, people say there is a corruption happening with the program faces in the Photos used as screen saver (or maybe not) it's trigger these random reboots, based on the journals of captured data, that I sent them a week ago. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem. I also wonder if there is a way to "Rename" all these faces runs to leave everywhere, assuming that solve us the problem of random reboot. Ideas are appreciated. I never realized how good iPhoto was until Apple replaced it with incredibly-creatively named pictures developed but incredibly bad (try googling 'Photos' to help... Apple tells me to Google 'Photos Mac', which only highlights the bad thought behind rename it). Thank you!

He did this on average once a day like us he plugged. So we just put discarded 10s of 1000s of ID on 811 different people that my wife and I have spent years ID'ing.

Do you still have a backup of the photo library of until you have removed the names of faces?  I would put the faces identified by writing them to the photos as keywords.

You could open each of your albums of 811 faces, select all the photos in the album, then announces a keyword with the name of faces. That will make it easier to recreate the names to faces if you remove the tags of faces.

Yes, there are a few newspapers posted crash here with unexplained and panic crashes happening during playback of albums of faces.  I would not sacrifice named faces, however. At least keep a backup, then you can begin only when the next macOS Sierra will be released this fall. It has a totally different treatment of the faces, and I hope that the new code will no longer have this bug.

Apple people say there is a corruption happening with the program faces in the Photos used as screen saver (or maybe not) which is the outbreak of these random reboots.

If the screen saver is the cause, you could avoid using your photo library as a source for the screensaver for the time beeing. Perhaps export just your Favorites in a folder on the desktop and use it as the source of the screen saver.

  • 2010 macbook pro vs 2011 memory modules

Memory of an Early 2011 MacBook Pro can be used in a model of MacBook Pro Mid 2010. They both have 204 pins memory but the 2011A memory at 1333 MHz so that the 2010 ACE 1066 MHz memory. Would that be a backup swap?

You can exchange, but this probably won't work, and if it works your system will be unstable with a regular kernel panics (crashes). Macs are picky about their speed of ram. If you have the memory, you can simply try to make the Exchange, it won't hurt your system (but you can do a backup just to be safe). If the system works so yay and if it does not then Exchange back memory.

Note that if memory is the same size that I wouldn't bother since there is no advantage gained different memory usage then.

    I hope this helps!

To my surprise, the VMware Fusion has worked well.  In fact, it worked great, it was fast.  I've upgraded to VMware 3.11 I did a training camp on the new Imac, because I could and installed windows 7 64-bit.  I works very well.  Now, after a few weeks I started having Kernel panic crashes when you use Spotlight.  There are a few programs have been identified as causing that.  VM stuff was a few of them.  So I uninstalled the program and the other VWWare.  I noticed that I don't have any disk space back, not much anyway.  Am I missing something?  Is there a score somewhere that I can't get rid of?   I would like to put this all back without the partition of the virtual computer.  I wanted to try to use the VMware Fusion with Windows 7 I loaded in boot camp.  I understand that this is possible.  I like to keep my XP works, if I can, but I have no idea what to do next.

    Thank you

    Tim

Now, after a few weeks I started having Kernel panic crashes when you use Spotlight.  There are a few programs have been identified as causing that.  VM stuff was a few of them.

Do you still have the papers of panic?

So I uninstalled the program and the other VWWare.  I noticed that I don't have any disk space back, not much anyway.  Am I missing something?

Uninstalling merge does not affect your virtual machines, just as getting rid of the Word does not remove your .doc files or update iTunes does not touch your MP3s. Since the majority of the space used is to store virtual machines, just uninstall merger does not change much used space.

Normal virtual machines are stored in files; where exactly depends on where you have chosen when they are created. If you don't remember, try a program like Perspective Grand to know where will your space.

I wanted to try to use the VMware Fusion with Windows 7 I loaded in boot camp.  I understand that this is possible.

Yes, even if you don't need to get rid of XP to do.

I like to keep my XP works, if I can

If you remove the backup of the XP virtual machine files, you cannot use it

  • How can I change my nickname to Adobe?

Sorry if it is completely independent, but can someone please tell me how to change my ridiculous nickname? I entered the original during a panic crash of RoboHelp 7.0.

You can not. It is faster to simply create a new.

  • What causes a frequent kernel panics and crashes on El Capitan, MacBook Pro 6.1?

In particular with calendar, iTunes, and Time Machine.

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

  • Help! El Capitan has been too much pain. Too many crashes :(

I am writing here because I am unable to do my work since I upgraded to El Capitan of my 10.7.8 lion. I changed my motherboard, I replaced my RAM from 2 GB to 8 GB and just yesterday, I upgraded to 10.11.4 and it crashed again. I can't say when it will crash then because I'm auto crash and restart 5 to 6 times a day every day. I can't edit the photo in photoshop, because soon, it blocks. I can't write about Scrivener for web browsing on chrome, because it crashes somehow. I can't listen to music on itunes and works on my macbook, because it hangs after some time. Help! My previous lion os never crashed in a year, but now I have planted 5 all day 6 times. Help, please! Its my 2011 end pro macbook. In addition, how can I downgrade to OSX lion now. I have no backup or whatever it is. Please serious need assistance. Here is the recent report of the accident.
