Panic the kernel... maybe?
Layman with what I found are called the kernel panics. I have a Macbook Air Yosemite 10.10.5 running. For the last week or two, maybe 3 or 4 times in total, my computer stopped a brief message and coding. Troubleshooting seems to range from moderate to the support of the Bank. What can I do myself to try it on a very basic level, if anything? Should I update to El Capitan? Comments really seem to vary. Thank you.

The panic report should have "panic" in the name of the file.
If you don't have a kernel panic, post 2 or 3 of them as answers about it.
Also yet another thread, I suggest that answer you out of EtreCheck

Panic the kernel constant after the SSD update, what do I do?
I have a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro 13 inch El Capitan running. I updated to the memory of 4 GB to 8 GB last year and recently updated to a Sandisk 240 GB SSD HARD drive. Now whenever my computer goes into a deep sleep, and I have to wake him up, he resets and says the shutdown because of a problem. The ratio is lower. All advice is appreciated!

Not sure if it would be a cause of the panic of the kernel, but I have Microsoft OneDrive starts with the computer. Even after disabling this as a point of connection, however, the problem persisted. Maybe I should uninstall all together?

panic the kernel Linux (CentOS 5.3) VMWare environment only
I have I try to install CentOS 5.3 in VMWare Server 2.x. The host system running Windows 2000 SP4 with a CPU AMD Athelon XP 1800, 1 G of RAM, and an NVidia FX5200. Whenever I try to install CentOS 5.3 the result is always the same, a panic of the kernel/kernel oops. I have other virtual machines running in the same material without problem, but these virtual machines are running FC4 and earlier versions of RedHat.
Like many I can diagnose the problem isn't seams to be associated CentOS. I believe that this is true because I tried to install CentOS 5.3 directly in the host system, and I can reach the stage where partitions are created, step I can't achieve when trying to install CentOS 5.3 in my virtual machine in VMWare Server 2.0.
I tried to increase the RAM memory used by the guest operating system, but the problem persists. I tried to disable acpi (setting the acpi = no as a startup option), made the installation using the text mode, but the same problem, the kernel panic.
According to the kernel panic information on diagnosing the problem happens in the xor_sse_2 function.
The call trace shows the following:
-
apic_timer_interrupt
xor_sse_2
do_xor_speed
calibrate_xor_block
sys_init_module
syscall_call
Code: Value of Bad EIP
-
I upploaded kernel panic message, as it was printed in the VMWare Console.
I tried to disable all sorts of acceleration in the VM configuration, changed the virtual BusLogic at LSI SCSI controller type, but the same question. I looked for the functions in the call trace service, it seems that calibrate_xor_block is used inside the md driver/module, so it must be a problem with the virtual hardware (disk, CD-ROM, etc.). I changed the virtual CDrom material from IDE to SCSI and now the guest what OS can't find the CD-ROM drive, or the hard drive, but there is also no kernel panic! Y at - it a LSI driver disk that can be used for the virtual SCSI cdrom and the hard drive is accessible?
Does anyone has any suspicion?
Thank you
Mike

This bug will be fixed in the next version/update of VMWare Server?
I can't say. I hope so.
How many times developers VMWare scan forums?
It ranges from never every day, according to the developer.
I applied the work around you suggested, and amazing it worked!
I'm glad to hear it.

iMac 27 inches panic the kernel Mid2011
Hello
I'm having some problems with my iMac 27 inch mid-2011 - he himself has restarted two times.
I saved the accident report. Anyone can read?
See you soon.
Try recovery mode (Cmd + R on startup). When recovery: try to fix the HD in disk utility, reinstall OS X (it should not remove anything, just repair itself) if these things do not work, probably associated with equipment.
See you soon,.

I just successfully replace the SSD, exchanging an old 250 GB HDD with a new 250 GB HARD drive.
I started with success, inserted the disc of recovery by the instructions on the screen. Disc 1 and rendered, it succeeded. When you are prompted, load disc 2, which was also successful. When asked, in charge of the "application and driver recovery CD" and continued.
At this point the computer restarted several times, as he said it would be completion of installation of all elements. Then he came with a message that says: the recovery attempt failed. Select one of the following buttons.
"Save Log"; 'Details '; 'Retry '.
Details says:
ChkErrBB.CMD: Detects an error in the PININST_BBV.
ChkErrBB.CMD: check c:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootWarn.log
Any suggestions here?
I update my BIOS before proceeding with the Exchange.
I found the solution to this problem was already answered here:
Thank you!

Offline of Windows on the desktop with 9.0 Network Client fails
We noticed a problem in our environment when we went from the Flex engine to the 9.0 client who appears only with laptops Windows 7/8.1 off-line. If a laptop is connected via Ethernet to our network there is no connection to the Windows desktop problem - engine Flex draws the settings and everything is fine. Subsequently if connect you shutdown/standby/lock screen there is no problem with users logging back in their office. When the user logs out of a cold start or from a connected session not connected to the corporate network, when its connection - windows immediately connects the user to reverse. We have started the client 8.7 and does not have this problem at all.
Anyone else noticing this? Any suggestions on what to watch?
Hello
I think the thing you encounter is the new feature that increases security.
When open, no action configuration is found the user is disconnected.
For more information, see the Administrator's guide.
Try to install the synctool to come around this issue when this feature is required.

Hello
I just installed a new ESX Server last night, configured and moved 6 VMs to him. I rebooted the machine, because I changed the VMconsole memory up to 500 and machine does not boot properly.
The server is a Dell PowerEdge 6650 with 8 GB of RAM and 4 CPUs with a PERC3 RAID controller and 4 hard drives.
VMware ESX 3.5 Update 3 build 123630
Error 0:00:01:08.959 cpu5:1041) Mod: 1413: failed to initialize of vmfs2 with-1.
Anyone had this problem with an ESX installation before?
Kind regards
Dean Forester
Hello
There may be a problem with the networking, can you start the server in debug mode and see if you can see an IP address for your service console. If you can see the ip address, you have a network card, you place your order to change, try to use the right physical NIC card mapped to the vSwtich0 who was there at the beginning when the machine was working.
Thank you
Samir

MacBook Pro hard repeated panics of the kernel
Hello
I knew panic the kernel repeated on my MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2014). In general, a piece of software will be "quit unexpectedly" a few times (Web Safari, Mail, Finder content). Then, randomly, the system will be completely freeze two seconds and restart.
I tried running with the system in Mode safe, but panicking kernel continue to hinder. Then I erased the hard drive and reinstalled the new El Capitan (and later upgrade to Sierra). I continued to experiment with these error messages and panics of the kernel, which I can only assume means that I have a hardware problem.
I take the unit to a Genius Bar next week, but in the meantime, I was wondering if someone could look over panic report and identify a possible cause? I have never added or changed everything - the MacBook is exactly as it was when I bought it.

Can someone please take a look and tell me what is happening?
Thank you!

You have the misfortune to have a model identifier 6.2 MBP that GPU problems. There was a program of replacement card logic on these models, but that has expired.
To resolve this problem, you can have the logic board replaced at your expense.
As a temporary measure, you can download and install this application:
This will cancel the discreet GPU and run the MBP using only the built-in. This will result in a decrease in the graphics performance.
Ciao.

I can restore a session when the Session restore fails?
After a kernel panic (I assume that's what it was), I was not able to restore my Firefox session, which had about 5 tabs open with a few dozen URLS to the breast. I'm writing this, there has been more than panic the kernel and Firefox crashes and Firefox allowed me to restore these sessions. However, this is the session that preceded the first accident/panic that holds these tabs I want to restore. Which can be reached?
When I launched Firefox after the first crash, Session Restore window did not offer to restore my previous session, that the list was empty, not showing any tab list.
I tried to search for the files sessionrestore.js and sessionrestore.bak in my system (OS x Lion), but they are not here. By the advice of some google search results, they said that there should be a Firefox folder to library > Application Support > Firefox, but I have no such folder Firefox just Mozilla file, and the js/bak files are not there either.
Finally, I would like to make a backup (a clone) of my HARD drive for a few weeks, in the case which can also be used to help restore my session.
I have included 2 Crash ID below. The first is one of the most recent (05/02/2012). There is indeed a dozen for that date, but it is earlier (in time) of the bunch, so I guess that maybe he'll relate to my first fall, even if that happened yesterday evening (2/14). The second ID is the 2nd most recent crash as of 1/14.
Thanks for any help you can provide on this issue.
You are welcome.
In Mac OS X v10.7, the file $HOME/Library is a hidden folder.
Open Finder and use one of them:- Go > go to folder (command-SHIFT-G) and in the type of dialogue: ~/Library
- Open the 'Go' menu and hold down the Option key to display the library
You can also use this command in a Terminal window to remove the hidden flag.
- Mac HD > Applications > utilities > Terminal
- chflags nohidden ~/Library
- http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/909/cpsid_90947.html Access the hidden user library files

Hello!
I tried two different methods for the installation of El Capitan with the same result.
1. passage of Mountain Lion.
2. fresh install on a new SSD with a bootable SD card.
I don't know how to copy the text for the kernel panic, so I took a picture of what it looks like. They are slightly different.
The only problem experienced with the computer (MBP9.2, 13 ", 2.9 GHz I7) is the:"To avoid damaging your computer, device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices have can also be disabled. When you unplug the device too much drawing power, your other USB devices will be activated again. »
That appears from time to time. AHT says "no problems found". SMC and NVRAM has been reset.
Have managed to restore the computer to Lion of mountain for the moment, I prefer to upgrade.
If any USB devices are connected, please disconnect them and try again.

It is a computer that I use MF for light work, Photoshop, Outlook, and Safari. At about 02:00 every day, the screen goes black and I get a full stop. After that, I have to hold the power button for 20-30 seconds, I hear some mechanical parts moving inside, then I finally get the tone of Apple and it starts up. Sometimes, this will happen again in 10 minutes, other times it is nice.
I recently picked up at the Apple Store for this same problem and they ended up replacing the logic board. The problem seemed fixed for the first days, but returned with a vengeance.
SMC has be reset. NVRAM. I am at a loss...

This kind of panic can be caused by a bug in OS X. I suggest that you upgrade to the current version ("El Capitan") in the App Store and see if the panic stop.
Before the upgrade, check that all of your most important third-party software are up-to-date and compatible with current versions of old OS X. Very from Microsoft and Adobe products, for example, may not be compatible. The Web site is the best source for this information.
Incompatible third-party software causes almost all problems with OS X updates.
Finally, in back up all the dataand be sure you know how to restore if you don't like the results of the upgrade.
If you have a with a sufficient capacity storage device, you can copy the boot volume in disk utility, then run him and to upgrade. So, if you don't like the results, all you have to do is change the setting in the startup disk preferences pane and restart.

Mac Pro 1.1 2006 fails installation of Mac OS x after the kernel panic
Hi all
A few days ago, I have known repeated panics of the kernel starting with my mac pro xeon quad core 1.1 (2006).
It was not impossible to access the system (to the start screen kernel panic), impossible to access SafeMode (stuck at apple logo stuck charging symbol), I decided to do a clean install of the system (Lion).
Installation is anyway impossible, because when I plug the usb with lion pen, he anyway stucks at the apple screen logo and freezes loading (the same problem also occurs if I burn image of lion uploaded on the apple store on a dvd).
I tried the dvd and usb pen on another computer and installation went flawless.
Then, I tried to reset the SMC, reset the PRAM, but it's always the same.
Then I tried to do an apple hardware test (full expanded mode) and after 55 minutes of testing, he said no. PROBLEMS DETECTED.
What I try to do?
Thank you very much.
I don't remember if it works in Lion, but see if you have the time to hit the keys CMD + L when the installation starts, to get a visible history of the NSO will.

Firefox crashed, and a message appeared on the Internet (I couldn't understand it, and I'm not able to remember). The problem seems serious, first of all, I scanned my registry with Registry Mechanic, and then I checked the status of my drive with Performance Toolkit, which has identified a low level and offered to clean the computer. I agree with you. And when I tried to reopen Firefox I discovered that the 3 icons in the sidebar with (untitled), that the bookmarks were gone and I could not restore, nor add anything.
This may be a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.
