Can someone please take a look and tell me what is happening?

Thank you!

You have the misfortune to have a model identifier 6.2 MBP that GPU problems. There was a program of replacement card logic on these models, but that has expired.

To resolve this problem, you can have the logic board replaced at your expense.

As a temporary measure, you can download and install this application:

https://gfx.IO/

This will cancel the discreet GPU and run the MBP using only the built-in. This will result in a decrease in the graphics performance.

Ciao.

  • Try to install El Capitan, the kernel panic

    Hello!

I tried two different methods for the installation of El Capitan with the same result.

    1. passage of Mountain Lion.

    2. fresh install on a new SSD with a bootable SD card.

I don't know how to copy the text for the kernel panic, so I took a picture of what it looks like. They are slightly different.
The only problem experienced with the computer (MBP9.2, 13 ", 2.9 GHz I7) is the:

"To avoid damaging your computer, device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices have can also be disabled. When you unplug the device too much drawing power, your other USB devices will be activated again. »

That appears from time to time. AHT says "no problems found". SMC and NVRAM has been reset.

Have managed to restore the computer to Lion of mountain for the moment, I prefer to upgrade.

If any USB devices are connected, please disconnect them and try again.

  • Mac Pro 1.1 2006 fails installation of Mac OS x after the kernel panic

    Hi all

A few days ago, I have known repeated panics of the kernel starting with my mac pro xeon quad core 1.1 (2006).

It was not impossible to access the system (to the start screen kernel panic), impossible to access SafeMode (stuck at apple logo stuck charging symbol), I decided to do a clean install of the system (Lion).

Installation is anyway impossible, because when I plug the usb with lion pen, he anyway stucks at the apple screen logo and freezes loading (the same problem also occurs if I burn image of lion uploaded on the apple store on a dvd).

I tried the dvd and usb pen on another computer and installation went flawless.

Then, I tried to reset the SMC, reset the PRAM, but it's always the same.

Then I tried to do an apple hardware test (full expanded mode) and after 55 minutes of testing, he said no. PROBLEMS DETECTED.

    What I try to do?

    Thank you very much.

I don't remember if it works in Lion, but see if you have the time to hit the keys CMD + L when the installation starts, to get a visible history of the NSO will.

  • Stopping the kernel panic

It is a computer that I use MF for light work, Photoshop, Outlook, and Safari. At about 02:00 every day, the screen goes black and I get a full stop. After that, I have to hold the power button for 20-30 seconds, I hear some mechanical parts moving inside, then I finally get the tone of Apple and it starts up. Sometimes, this will happen again in 10 minutes, other times it is nice.

I recently picked up at the Apple Store for this same problem and they ended up replacing the logic board. The problem seemed fixed for the first days, but returned with a vengeance.

SMC has be reset. NVRAM. I am at a loss...

This kind of panic can be caused by a bug in OS X. I suggest that you upgrade to the current version ("El Capitan") in the App Store and see if the panic stop.

Before the upgrade, check that all of your most important third-party software are up-to-date and compatible with current versions of old OS X. Very from Microsoft and Adobe products, for example, may not be compatible. The Web site is the best source for this information.

Incompatible third-party software causes almost all problems with OS X updates.

Finally, in back up all the dataand be sure you know how to restore if you don't like the results of the upgrade.

If you have a with a sufficient capacity storage device, you can copy the boot volume in disk utility, then run him and to upgrade. So, if you don't like the results, all you have to do is change the setting in the startup disk preferences pane and restart.

  • Boot Fail, Kernel Panic all the time.

My Mac Pro early 2008 does not start I have constantly to the kernel with the usual panic ""you must restart your computer. " Hold down the Power button for a few seconds or press the restart... in 4 languages.

Start Up Manager all my Bootable drive are there. I tried different elements Bootable. But all end up with the kernel panic. I even try to start with my Lion drive install, same result. I also try it in safe mode, once more: KP.

My machine came with 2 GB of Ram, I add extra 4 GB (pair of 2) so I have 6 GB. I thought that my problem is Ram so I pulled out the pair of 4 GB, but it does nothing and I always K.P.

Can someone let me know if it's my graphic video card? Unfortunately, I live on an island in the South Pacific: no serious Service Apple around.

    Thank you.

Mac Pro early 2008. 4 Bay, 4 total 3500GB HD. OS x 10.6.8 - 10.8 - EL Capitan - every operating system is in an another HD 6 GB of RAM. The machine works very well so far. !

I forgot to add that I did reset the PRAM and SMC but it's always K.P.

If so, it could indicate that you have problems with your graphics hardware. I DON'T know if this is your graphics card, so make sure that you can see a pattern in all your States of panic.

  • The constant kernel panics

I have a late 2014 Mac Mini with fusion player who has become completely reliable last week. Have known about 12 panics of the core of the last seven days. What I've tried so far: 1) removed external hard drive 2) uninstalled Avast antivirus (this was installed last year and seems to have no connection with the kernel panics, but I uninstalled anyway) 3 checked hard drive - no 4) fixed error 5) initialized and permissions worked in SafeMode for once - eventually the entire system locked up requiring reboot 6) created a new user and logged under this account - always panic

So far, all the panics were surfing the web in Safari...

I had not loaded any new software on the computer at least 6 days before the first panic. No other programs (other than Safari) are running when the panic occur.

This is the last log of panic (they all looked basically the same, that is of type 14 = page fault)

  • Panic the kernel... maybe?

Layman with what I found are called the kernel panics. I have a Macbook Air Yosemite 10.10.5 running. For the last week or two, maybe 3 or 4 times in total, my computer stopped a brief message and coding. Troubleshooting seems to range from moderate to the support of the Bank. What can I do myself to try it on a very basic level, if anything? Should I update to El Capitan? Comments really seem to vary. Thank you.

1.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor

The panic report should have "panic" in the name of the file.

If you don't have a kernel panic, post 2 or 3 of them as answers about it.

Also yet another thread, I suggest that answer you out of EtreCheck

  • Kernel panics don't allow relocation of the El Capitan

My 2015 13 inch MacBook Pro with SSD 512 started special behavior of exposure to the course to restart this week. Before this week, the recent troubles were only occasional web page that never completely load, which I fixed it just to restart the browser. Although a laptop computer, the computer is rarely moved or even disconnected. It's a stock Mac without MS Office or Flash, with a few apps not Apple.

The special observation was that the laptop has gone through several Apple white on black screens during a routine start with thin whie progress bars that would freeze, followed by restart again. When all small text began to appear in the upper left of the screen (white text on a black background), it was obvious that something was wrong. I know now what are the kernel panics.

Disk utility has revealed no problems, so I finally called Apple Support. We tried to restart in safe mode, but the problem persisted. We tried to boot into recovery mode, but the problem persisted. Finally, we were able to get into recovery mode (even if after six kernel panics) and decided to reinstall the system (El Capitan 10.11.3). As it progressed, I left and went to work. At his return and the awakening of the computer, I saw the message that the computer has been restarted due to a problem. Disappointment, because it meant that it was still having trouble. I arranged for a visit to the Genius Bar, fortunately basically right across the street.

Although I had run a diagnostic of the consumer of the House (no problem detected), the first thing done engineering was their hardware diagnostics. That revealed no problems whatsoever. I had a Time Machine backup, and so we decided to go and recreate the image on the computer. He seemed confident that it could solve the problem. It connected to their network image 10.11.3 they use in the store all the time and was surprised by the result. Instead of a new installation, my account was on the screen with the message on the computer is restarted due to a problem. After rehearsal and get the same result, my laptop was sent away from their computer laptop "hospital."

Finally, my two questions: 1) I can trust my Time Machine backup to operate in automatic mode to transfer my stuff, or do I have to manually bring things overs, piece by piece. I certainly re - will download and install fresh copies of all my applications. (2) in the world, is there trouble with the MBP that it oppose the setting and the redefinition even if all the testing equipment and the disk first aid report no problem? Should I have insisted on a new replacement computer instead? The computer is less than six months.

    Thank you

After rehearsal and get the same result, my laptop was sent away from their computer laptop "hospital."

Well, because it feels like it's a hardware problem and you have done all the good measures.

Assuming that the Mac is really fixed, then you can restore backups Time Machine.

Intermittent failure of RAM (rare for Apple, as long as RAM, but not impossible).

lack of SSD, bad return data in readings, including loading programs so that they do not.

I've seen don't panic the kernel USB devices cause no. Your keyboard and trackpad interface via internal USB bus.

That's the big 3 I can think. NOTE: Generally the Apple hardware does not have such problems, but when you make millions of units, it can happen.

And the diagnosis is unable to put the component under the correct pressure. If it is associated with USB, you're not typing and moving the mouse during the tests. I've seen cases of failures of memory where you had to stand on one leg, while turning to the left (not right), drink a glass of milk (not skim). Okay, that's not true, but yes, I've seen problems with memory where you access the zone of memory making a specific type of operation in a specific before the memory sequence would fail. Made me crazy back in the mid-70 (yes I've been a user of the computer at the time).

  • MacBook Air 2015 & Dell U2414H cause the wake kernel panic

I'm new to a Mac. I just bought a MacBook Air (2015) that I use mainly using an external monitor (Dell U2414H) using mini Displayport. It runs on El Capitan. I have also a Magic Keyboard (latest model) and the Trackpad (first generation).

I got a kernel panic issue only when I am connected to the external minitor. When you use my MBA in itself, this never happens. I copied and pasted the below incident information. Could someone tell me what can be the problem cauisng? I don't know if the single Dell monitor is the problem. The tricky part is that the kernel panic does not occur every time that the MBA wakes up from his sleep. It happens unexpectedly. I put the computer to sleep using the command + Option + power (keyboard shortcut). Then, I hit a button to wake up without a problem. But sometimes, it crashes. Thank you for your help in advance.

The guarantee gives the right to the free phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

If you bought the product in the United States directly from Apple (not a retailer), you have 14 days from the date of delivery where to Exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you purchased from a reseller, its return policy applies.

Although it is not cause panic, I suggest that you remove the Norton/Symantec product useless in theseinstructions. If you have a different version of the product, the steps may be different.

Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any product "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" again.

  • panic the kernel Linux (CentOS 5.3) VMWare environment only

I have I try to install CentOS 5.3 in VMWare Server 2.x. The host system running Windows 2000 SP4 with a CPU AMD Athelon XP 1800, 1 G of RAM, and an NVidia FX5200. Whenever I try to install CentOS 5.3 the result is always the same, a panic of the kernel/kernel oops. I have other virtual machines running in the same material without problem, but these virtual machines are running FC4 and earlier versions of RedHat.

Like many I can diagnose the problem isn't seams to be associated CentOS. I believe that this is true because I tried to install CentOS 5.3 directly in the host system, and I can reach the stage where partitions are created, step I can't achieve when trying to install CentOS 5.3 in my virtual machine in VMWare Server 2.0.

I tried to increase the RAM memory used by the guest operating system, but the problem persists. I tried to disable acpi (setting the acpi = no as a startup option), made the installation using the text mode, but the same problem, the kernel panic.

According to the kernel panic information on diagnosing the problem happens in the xor_sse_2 function.

The call trace shows the following:

    -

    apic_timer_interrupt

    xor_sse_2

    do_xor_speed

    calibrate_xor_block

    sys_init_module

    syscall_call

    Code: Value of Bad EIP

    -

I upploaded kernel panic message, as it was printed in the VMWare Console.

I tried to disable all sorts of acceleration in the VM configuration, changed the virtual BusLogic at LSI SCSI controller type, but the same question. I looked for the functions in the call trace service, it seems that calibrate_xor_block is used inside the md driver/module, so it must be a problem with the virtual hardware (disk, CD-ROM, etc.). I changed the virtual CDrom material from IDE to SCSI and now the guest what OS can't find the CD-ROM drive, or the hard drive, but there is also no kernel panic! Y at - it a LSI driver disk that can be used for the virtual SCSI cdrom and the hard drive is accessible?

    Does anyone has any suspicion?

    Thank you

    Mike

This bug will be fixed in the next version/update of VMWare Server?

    I can't say. I hope so.

How many times developers VMWare scan forums?

It ranges from never every day, according to the developer.

I applied the work around you suggested, and amazing it worked!

    I'm glad to hear it.

  • Kernel Panic on the new imac several times when editing large files layers in Photoshop CS5

get the panics of the kernel on my new imac... operating system wiped and reinstalled twice and still got the kernel panics. This happens when I work in Photoshop... but that's all I really use so no just to say what the reason for the panic. That said, I read that panicked the kernel could not be caused by a software. is this accurate?

crapple has my computer now and run a few 'intensive' tests and can not find hardware problems. can someone give me some data to support a serious conversation with my 'genius' tomorrow?

is it a commen w / Mac? I've never had any problems with photoshop and my pc. I miss my pc.

I'm glad to hear that you are getting somewhere.

And sorry to hear that this is such a concern with Apple "geniuses".

(I usually diagnose the problem, then take the machine in their :-))

  • Kernel Panic on install OS Sierra

After the launch of an installation for OS Sierra on my 15-inch Macbook Pro, I went to see a Kernel Panic at startup upward. After you restart the boot process stalls and pressing any key the kernel panic appears. The machine starts in safe mode, I have reset PRAM, SMC but no luck. I can boot OS El Capitan to an external USB and access my hard drive and see my content.

    What are my options?

Looks like the USB human interface device driver's jump. Try to unplug all USB devices and see if it boots without panicing. If it works, then add the USB devices at the same time, return to reboot each time to find the culprit.

  • Can someone decode this for me kernel panic error message please?

I had some problems recently with my 13 "MacBook Pro, Early 2011. I was able to resolve most of them between the forums and the Genius Bar, but there is still a persistent that even the Genius Bar can't seem to understand. Often, my computer freezes and restarts itself, and recently I had the window "your computer restarted due to a problem". I know kernel panic can be software or hardware related. I just wiped my hard drive (third-party SSD), reinstalled the OS X and restored from a Time Machine backup (but doesn't not restore any network or personal settings, as I was told by the Genius Bar help ensure no bugs/corruptions that affected my machine were installed). A complete hardware and software diagnostic was managed by Apple, where the only problem they found was that they could not read my hard drive and I have recommended replacing the hard drive slick, that I had let them. However, my problem: I have yet to have another random reboot with the new cable, but I am always starting gel, delay and slow speeds. I understood the message of the most recent kernel panic error, but I have little idea how do make sense. If someone could decode it for me and let me know what you think caused the kernel panic, I would be grateful!

Quick notes (it may or may not be useful): I also installed new third-party RAM me, updated 4-8 GB. I also have problems taking videos on Photo Booth. When I do, app causes my computer to lag, and the video does not correctly record (late of video development, multicolor screen during playback, not only audio video, etc.). Check the video card came back clean well.
