Parameter detection processor graphics card Nvidia GeForce video card

I have a brand new Dell Windows 10 laptop.  It has a Nvidia GeForce 960 M 4 GB GDDR5 graphics in addition to the Intel video card, the computer comes with.  In the settings "Preferences / Performance" of Photoshop, it just says that the Intel HD Graphics 530 card is detected.  What is the procedure for Photoshop detect graphic card from Nvidia?  Thank you.

  • Alienware M15x does not detect the graphics card, GeForce GT 555 M

Hey guys, I ask you bear with me for the whole story because I believe that it may be relevant.

I just bought this laptop (M15x) pre owned, it came with windows installed 8.1 and a load of games and others with all the drivers work and tact. Although it has been slow and some errors like may be able to control the volume.

CPUID other programs showed my 1024 MB graphics card but I don't remember the name but I'll what nvidia says on their site and the description says...

I didn't like windows 8 and I thought, rather than make clean for a week I'll install windows 7 from scratch, I did. Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit for info

After doing this, I started to install anti virus and others and then to install the drivers, many of which I don't know, but analysis system dell raised all of the recommendations I installed, everything outside the video... none seems to fit my current card. I left it... went to nvidia which part of the site told me that he could not find compatible hardware... another part of the site classified as GT 555 M, but I had to go to my manufacturer to get the driver.

After a few discussions with local technicians and these and other forums, I tried the drivers provided dell card among other NVIDIA covering my amog others but none worked and could not find compatible hardware...

I thought it was that I installed the drivers in the wrong order, after an accident, I installed windows 7 over again and went straight on the chipset driver, then the video driver. but I fell on the same subject.

After looking over several forums, the only thing I can come up with is to turn off graphics integrated into the bios (option not available for this)

Maybe windows 7 doesn't like this graphics card? I am at a loss. given that everything worked fine on windows 8.1

also in the device manager it does not list my card on the pc there is nothing wouldn't prove that I have a graphics card to all even the windows own evaluation system set to 1 for graphics NOTE from the ADMIN: replace character removed according to the TOU >

    Please help me...

The GT 555 M has been never delivered with the M15X, but with M14X R1, so the former owner must have updated the GT 240 M graphics card. This explains why the drivers from the website corresponds to your configuration.

Try this version of the driver from the NVIDIA website and let me know how it goes.

    Help, please

    Hello Sollyanna,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    Let me ask you;

    1. Which operating system was installed when purchasing Lenovo Ideapad?
    2. You have the driver CD (if it was given to you in the package)?
    3. Do you think any driver available in Device Manager?
    4. Since you have changed the internal hard disk, you must also have re-installed Windows 8. What type of installation are you running?
    5. What is the full error message that you receive?
    6. You have installed all Windows updates?

Since you have changed the internal hard disk, you must also have re-installed Windows 8. There is possibility that if you did a clean install of Windows 8, no driver is available. Let's try a few methods like below and check the status.

Method 1: If you have the CD in the package of the manufacturer device, try to install the drivers from the CD and check.

Method 2: I suggest you to install all Windows updates available (including optional) and check.

Refer to the article: How to install updates to Windows in both UIs in Windows 8

Method 3: Let Windows find the drivers automatically

Windows can also download device software and info. This may include an app that is generated by the device manufacturer to go with your device or information such as the name of the product, the manufacturer and the model number to help you distinguish between similar devices.

Please see: download and install the drivers

From now to try the methods above and let us know the result as well as the answers to the questions, we will be happy to help you further.

  • Graphic driver NVIDIA Geforce 6250 has stopped working recent 64 bit upgrade to Windows 7

I get the blue screen closed and once the system reboots I get the message that my graphics driver for Nvidia Geforce 6250 has stopped working.  It happened several times and I can't seem to find a solution.   The computer six years ago - AMD 64 x 2 and I recently installed Windows 7 XP.  and that's where the problem started.  I read somewhere that Nvidia is no updates for this graphics card.  Is this true?  Do I need a new card?  If I reinstall windows, as well as 32-bit which eliminates the problem.  Help me...

NVIDIA still has drivers for the 6250 - HERE-

I really don't think that you would however have the latest version.
As the card is only a DX9 compatible card, I'd go for the WHQL 197,45 drivers.
In addition you will still not be able to use the AERO interface because it requires a DX 10
    graphics card.
Then you get into a situation of having to possibly a new PSU, in function
    your choice of replacement.

Then we come to the amount of system RAM your machine has - perhaps not more than
2 GB DDR?  If not, the 32-bit Windows 7 is the best option, but honestly - XP uses very little RAM
compared to Win7 and is better with 2 GB of RAM or less, especially if you play
    all of the games.

  • XPS Intel HD 4600 Graphics and Nvidia Geforce GT 750 2720 m

    Hello

For about 3 weeks and a few updates to the Windows and Nvidia driver in may 2015, it seems that the Nvidia graphic card is no longer used by the Dell PC XPS 2720.

I tried to just reinstall the drivers of two first from the website of dell and alternately of each Web site from intel and Nvidia.

The two cards are included in the device (Device Manager) Manager, but each time, the graphics card intel HD is the only graphics cards that really works and used by the PC for an application or a game.

I can check with software such as speed of the fan or CPUID, CPUID HW Monitor.

Similarly, if I forced systematically into the control panel NVIDIA, the Nvidia card for the global or individual parameter, the Nvidia card is not used.

Normally the Nvidia should be better for 3D application or games.

Comments, solutions or justifications will be very appreciated.

    Thank you and best regards,

PS: I have read all the previous posts on the subject and I know that the two graphics cards usually work together and have been in the past subject to a number of positions or problems related to their 'recognition' by the PC. I have Windows 8.1.

    Hello

Thanks for sharing the solution. If you have questions in the future to write us, we will be happy to help you.

  • Aspire x 3995 does not detect not graphic card 360 r7?

Hi, I tried my best skills to solve this one, but I am in a bind and need assistance from tech users out there of mind

    System: Acer Aspire X 3995 (2120 i3, 4 GB 1333 MHz ddr 3 RAM, motherboard Lena DIB75L)-version of windows 7

Motherboard, ram and processor have been removed of sff cases and in a Tower (lined up big holes)

    Power supply: Silverstone 500w

    1. system without graphic card, pc starts fine

    2. installed a HD 4550 (2 GB ddr3) starts very well.

    3. install an HD 6950 (2 GB ddr5) starts very well (this map has x 2 6 additional electric spindle)

    4. installed the 360 R7 - no post, no bios, no beeps...

    5. uninstalled card, bios active (P01. (Version a2) - integrated graphics blackened - not active, no option.

    6. install the HD 4550 and active bios, disabled integrated - graphics * blackened

good news is that the graphics card has been turn off on-board when it is installed.

7 tried to find the bios update (as Ive read bios update can help with newer cards) hit a wall.

8 uninstalled windows 7 on the 1 TB hard drive and installed windows 8.1 (needed HD4550 installed to do this, due to the size of res on install)

9 has tried to update the bios with (BIOS_Acer_P11. BIOS version of windows 8 A3_A_A), it however in the bios after reboot screen has yet proved (P01. A2)

10 HD 4550 uninstalled and reinstalled R7 360 (which requires x 1 power 6pin) some how I was not connect pin 6 and kick machine, I got a beep single post (and yes the normal activity, spining fans etc. * not the graphics of course) and black screen.

    11. I then turned off and plugged the 6-pin power supply and the power of the watch, although no beep this time and this black screen.

    12. I have tested the 360 R7 in x 2 other machines, one being a P5Q pro pcie 2.0, did not start to monitor unless I left the pc for more than 10 minutes and then it cooks very well. The other machine was a duo core pci-e 1.0 gigabyte and restart right away the first time. I also used the same Silverstone power supply with the gigabyte and a gigabyte 580w with the Commission P5Q Pro card.

Also, I just wanted to add I have breadbox test unit and a barrette of ram at a time etc. Except that the 360 R7 is no where near the x 3995, the machine works fine on windows 7 x 64 and windows 8.1 x 64

    Please help thank you.

I hope that Acer has updated the bios somehow somewhere, or if someone can tell me how to reach or if possible to installed bios win8 on a Board of win 7 factory?

Map of graph 360 power supply and r7 are brand new.

Update: P01. A2 bios is the latest bios for the version of windows 7 to factory.

Tips for brand new or previous owners of this machine, be very careful when you buy a new graphics card.

  • Windows did not detect my graphics card

    Hello world

In the Device Manager, my graphics card than ATI Radeon HD 7450 appears as "Standard VGA adapter". I tried to install the latest driver from the website of AMD, but automatic installation (use the provided installation program) and the manual installation (Manager of devices-> update driver software-> Browse my computer for driver software) do not work. For manual installation, it keep says that "the driver does not support this version of windows" regardless of the version of the driver that I use
    (My Windows is Windows 7 x 64). That's happened?

The drivers for this card are here (although you must first select the bit win version)

    http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/radeonaiw_vista32.aspx

If the card is not detected, turn off the power, open the case and reinsert the card or try another pci slot, then re test

No, the length of the card is 15.9 ".  Should be a full case large so he can adapt.

  • Flex 14 is not detect the Nvidia graphic card

Earlier today, I started my computer and noticed the Nvidia Control Panel was not an option in the context menu. After going to services.msc, I noticed the service of display driver Nvidia was not running, and if I tried to start it, it would immediately crash. Then I went to the Manager of peripheral and seen as graphics cards, is visible that was Intel's integrated graphics. I wiped the Nvidia drivers, and when I tried to install the last that I was told that 'this graphics driver cannot find compatible graphics hardware." I tried to reset the BIOS, which did nothing. My concern here is that the graphics card is dead, or he shook his place somehow. Are there any suggestions you can offer to solve this problem, or I have to disassemble the laptop? Thanks for your help.

    Data sheet:

    CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4200U @ 1.60 GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz

    RAM: 4 GB (4096 MB)

GPU: Intel Integrated Graphics (onboard), Nvidia Geforce GT 720 M (discrete)

    Model: Lenovo Flex 14

I discovered the cause of the problem. A driver corrupted to "Intel (r) 8 series PCI Express Root Port #5" was the culprit. In Device Manager, he appeared with an exclamation on the icon and after uninstalling the NVidia card appeared. After that, it was just a matter of reinstalling the drivers and it was all sorted out.

  • DV6 - 2173cl: how many NVidia - HP dv6 - 2173cl graphics card drivers

    Hello

    I am trying to reinstall win7 64 bit on my dv6 - 2173 cl.

I see that HP has two pilots for the my model:

    (1) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Driver

    (2) NVIDIA GeForce video/graphics driver

I have the NVIDIA graphics card in this laptop.

    I installed the NVIDIA driver.

    Question:

-Do I need to install the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD driver as well?

-Is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Driver for the onboard graphics for some choose dv6 - 2173cl variants and therefore does not apply to me

    OR

-This driver improves the graphics performance of the chip Intel itself (whatever that might be) and so I have to install it?

I looked at the description, but HP is not very explicitly clear cases when to install this driver.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello:

HP puts all the drivers available for the complete series on each specific model support page.

So you do not and should not install the Intel graphics card.

It would be for computers laptop dv6-21xx that come with the integrated Intel HD graphics card.

  • Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti may need BIOS update.

I am trying to install a card grafics of nvidia GeForce GTX 550 it on my Compaq Presario desktop computer.
Model SR5115NL product number GN729AA-ABH equipped Windows Vista 32.

The message I get from the Device Manager is:
"This device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31). »

It may have something to do with the port of Intel(r) 945 G/GZ/GC/P/PL PCI Express Root - 2771 which has also a problem
"Your computer's system firmware includes enough information to properly configure and use this device.
To use this device, contact the manufacturer to obtain a firmware or an update of the BIOS of your computer. (Code 35) »

I downloaded the latest drivers from NVIDIA and even install them manually.
Next, I visited the site of HP and used the tool updated to update the drivers and BIOS, but so far zero.

    What should do?

    Success in the end.

Use a PNY program to check the graphics card, it was concluded that the material was OK.

So it was very probably the Device Manager or the operating system, which have been unable to detect the graphics card properly and read its hardware ID.

After reinstalling Windows Vista, PCI-e by selecting view adapter in the Bios setup, all went well.
The card has been recognized, the driver has been installed and everything works as it should.
