UPDATE - NVIDIA GeForce video driver

Hello
OK, so just before the update. can anyone read this page NVidea & guide me.   http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_195.62_whql.html
As this is my 1st time manual installation of a graphics update (I personally kinda get nervous when do such things I can ' t mess up) + some says you need to uninstall the previous version in order to update, - it true... is not out to disrupt the operating system?
+ You can guide me in the installation (step by step) process.
-THX

2. click on the download button

3. click on agree and download and click Save

4. save it to your desktop and you will see the icon on the desktop

5 double-click on the icon and start the installation.

I hope this helps.

  • Qosmio X 505-Q898 - will we ever have updated NVidia drivers video?

    Hi-
Does anyone know the latest NVidia video driver numbers? I had the X 505-Q898 since before Christmas 2010 and have not been able to find and update all of the video drivers. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

NIVIDIA drivers are different from the Toshiba drivers.
Toshiba drivers are modified for mobile use and support a thermal protection that protects the graphics card overheating. This is necessary because the portable computers cooling modules are not powerful as modules for desktop computers and, therefore, the pilots of cooling needs to control the temperature.
Don t support such feature nVidia drivers and so these drivers can be used only at own risk

In addition, as far as I know the latest drivers come out with a new series of laptop.
Several portable series supports the same graphics chips and as a result, you can also check the drivers that have been released for other series with the same GPU.

what I can do... Thanks for any help!

    Hello

It of very simple. You need a compatible graphics driver!
Have you already checked the drivers of these pages? :
    www.OmegaDrivers.net
    www.laptopvideo2go.com

In any case, the graphics driver from the nVidia page should also work!
You must install the driver in Device Manager. Don t install automatically, but force the installation of the driver.
You choose to install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then Don t find. I will choose the driver to install.

    All that s!

    You are welcome.

Here is some information that I put in place on a good way to use Windows updates:

You do not have to install an update problem will continue to cause problems for you.

Is there a way to get around that.

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/72491-Windows-Update.html

Here's how to change the update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.

    1. you can update your graphics here driver (just answering questions). Download the appropriate file, run it, follow the instructions on the screen, reboot when you are prompted. Check to see if that helps with performance.

  • Win Vista 64 bit hangs on the 9800GT Nvidia video driver

    Hello

I recently installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit and it works very well using GPU on board. Problems started when I installed the 9800GT. It works when I use the standard VGA driver windows installed, but after that I updated to the latest version of the driver the screen would be black after the initial screen that displays the progress bar just before the vista logo and nickname. I went to the VGA driver, so I can type this upward.

The machine is still trying to get all the service packs and updates, and I was wondering if the problem will be solved by getting all the updates.

The problem seems so much as questions of other people were able to see with the video card since ' 09. I hope he has improved since then.

    Thanks in advance.

  • AMD video driver for my laptop is out of date. Is there an easy way to update?

The driver listed for your laptop with a Radeon graphics card can be exceeded, but there may be an option to update.

AMD strongly recommend using OEM driver as laptops are customized by the OEM, but some users have a need or desire to have the latest driver available.

I used Steam from Valve platform for years to update my ATI/AMD drivers for my laptop and desktop with a Radeon graphics card.  Note that Steam is developed by Valve and it is not associated with HP.

This method is not known outside the community of players, and I would like to share this method.

    1. install Steam store.steampowered.com.

    2. once it is installed and creating an account, please sign in.

    3. click on Steam at the top left of the page.

    4. Select search automatically updates of the video driver.

    5. it will scan your material and detect the most recent driver and software for the Radeon card.

6 if there is nothing new, it will prompt to install.  Follow the prompts.  If there is nothing new, it will indicate that you already have the most recent.

The method above is what I consider the best way to get updates from AMD driver for Radeon cards.  If it is a switchable graphic system, this should work as long as the AMD card is active.

My laptop is switchable graphics and it worked for me.  However, there are some cases of switchable graphics where it may not work.

    I hope this helps.

  • Update NVIDIA problems: exit HDMI does not.

    Hello

So I've updated NVIDIA GeForce 8200 m G yesterday to the new version (285.62). I had the 186.68 version ou.85, I don't remember. When I tried to connect my LCD HD TV to my laptop, it has not worked, everything was the same. So I tried to go to control panel > Mobile PC > to connect to a projector... > Connect monitor and changed the setting so that the display show only on the TV. When I click 'OK' my computer screem black but I could still see the light from the screen, and nothing happens. No video, no sound. My computer buttoned up like that and then I had to restart.

So, I'm looking to see what was wrong and found that a lot of people where having the same problems, but for a different computer. I see that some people just had the old version that they or an older version then v280 I come, I tried it and got v275.33 and still the same thing happens. The computer recognizes it, but nothing happens. Just black screen. I also tried restoring but I re-installed so it did not work.

I don't know how to get my old rear drive, if anyone can help me? Does anyone know how to fix this? Connect to my HP PC to my TV. I have the HDMI cable and it worked in the past, so I think it was the update.

    HP G60-121WM

    Windows Vista 32 bit

    NVIDIA GeForce 8200 M G 1407 MB

If somebody finds the problem, you can send me a link? I also tried to make the 'system restore', but I just continued to get a failure message. If you need more just informationg say.

    Thank you.

P.S. I also saw this chanded "NVIDIA audio HDMI" "NVIDIA HD Audio" but know that he just says "High definition Audio Device", which could take place? In addition, the site NVIDIA said that I need to uninstall my NVIDIA Windows display drivers. I did and when go out to uninstall. This is not, but I have v275.33 Verde drive that I received from NVIDIA Web. I did something wrong?

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_13955.html

Yes, I see and it always the accident when I use it.

However, I think I solved it. I just when the HP, shearch for my PC website and downloaded the reader but I had already that don't but did ' t work. I keept getting a message that I was not under windows vista. Then I opened the file from the disk I have download and when Windows 32 folder and it had a probram for installation.

I tried and the installer has just stood there, not doing nothing. I closed by using the the windows Task Manager ("ctrl" + "alt" + "del") and run the driver installation program again. Before I could click on the button continue, my screen will turn off and on to turrn. So I plugged the HDMI cable and when to the NVIDIA Control Panel and made my tv the 2nd screen but the sound does not work.
