parameter of temporal interpolation of "wedge".

I consult a tutorial on AE where he animates an object from A to B is a B for a while then moves to C, is located a C for a while, then switch to D, etc.  He puts a keyframe when it arrives at B, and also when he leaves B and C go.  Once again, to C, it puts a second series of keyframes.  Thus, the sequence of keyframes is at positions A, B, B, C, C, D, D, E, E,...

So far... I get it.  But then he goes back and on the keyframe where it happens to B, he adds 'Hold' - changes affecting temporal interpolation of 'hold. '  I sorta understand why, but what is strange for me, if I look at the graph Editor's position between two keyframes 'B' in the same position is already absolutely flat.  If the "hold", in this case, does not make difference.

I played everywhere to try and get the interpolation between two keyframes in the same position to not be flat and so far, I have not been able to.  This tutorial is perhaps not a good example to use 'Hold '?

I understand that if you want the object to go from A to B, then you would use 'Hold '.

Use 'Hold' in the situation described above, that perhaps a jet to older versions of AF and AF now automatically knows to keep the line between the two keyframes to the same flat value?

Or is it perhaps the case that under strange circumstances, the value is not always a constant and therefore adding the shim is more a habit of type 'just in case '?

This tutorial is perhaps not a good example to use 'Hold '?

It would help if we could see the tutorial, but what you describe seems that Hold'em is not necessary.

Or is it perhaps the case that under strange circumstances, the value is not always a constant and therefore adding the shim is more a habit of type 'just in case '?

you use hold if you want no interpolation between the 2 keyframes. If they are the same already, this means that there is no interpolation then it is not necessary.

I understand that if you want the object to go from A to B, then you would use 'Hold '.

Yes, the hold is to make the layer jump between keyframes

Use 'Hold' in the situation described above, that perhaps a jet to older versions of AF and AF now automatically knows to keep the line between the two keyframes to the same flat value?

N ° it's always this way in Ae.

  • Ken Burns effect of * wide * image?

    Hi all

I tried a quick search, but not yet found an answer.

I want to create a pan "Ken Burns" of a very wide image in Premiere Pro, but can't see how I can do anything with other than a 1920 x 1080 image.

I basically need to start with a larger picture (let's say for now, 3840 x 1080 so double-width Full HD but standard height) and I want to start with the left side and create a scrolling to the right to finally show the entire width of the image.

I certainly don't want to zoom in on the image - the image already will be at the necessary exact height, I just want to view a panoramic image which can obviously be made only in HD ratio if I scroll on it. (So thinking that it is running a magnifying glass over the entire width of a photo)

Can someone point me to info on how to get there? I can manage it with a 'standard' imported picture using zoom etc effects, but it crops still nothing I have import up to 1920 x 1080, which is not good for me.

    Thanks in advance!

    Create a sequence of 1920 x 1080.

    Import your picture of 3840 x 1080.

Place the image of 3840 x 1080 on the timeline.

Click on the image on the timeline to select it.

Once selected, move the effect controls panel.

Click the triangle next to the query to see the commands.

Set the scale to 100 (unless it is already set to 100).

You should see just the central part of the image in the program monitor.

Move the playhead on the timeline at the beginning of the clip (keeping the selected clip).

Return to the effect controls panel and change the horizontal Position to where you want to start panoramic image.

When you have the image in position, click the icon of stopwatch bit next to the position of the world. It will turn blue and and put a keyframe on the timeline of the effects.

Now, move the playhead in the timeline to the last image in the image on the timeline (keeping the selected clip).

Return in the effect controls panel and modify the horizontal position at the end of the pan. It should automatically create a second keyframe.

Now, you can read the timeline and see the pan. Depending on the power of your computer, you may need to make the effect until you can see smooth,

If you want to make the start and stop of the boom of pan, select the keyframes in the effects for Position Panel and right-click on them. In the menu select temporal Interpolation > Auto Bezier.

  • How to get a water drop and rebound effect

User newb here. I don't know if this effect is named, but I have a still image (a book cover) and I want it to appear in the frame (on top of the video) at the top, then bounce a bit, as if he were hitting the ground. I know how to drag in the framework using the Position and speed by the image, but I don't know how to do the effect bouncing. I'd be happy with a stock effect, if any. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Cheryl,

This kind of thing is best done in After Effects, but you can get a decent effect in Premiere Pro. You must manually animate the position of book cover to get the rebound effect. Think what a bouncing ball looks like when you bounce on the floor - each new position where the ball reaches its highest point is a little more close to the ground, and when it hits the ground is a little further away from the previous position (except if it bounces perfectly right from top to bottom). The time between logs positioned continuously decreases because the ball is short of energy.  For example, create a keyframe position for each new post of top-of-the-arc and each new position of contact with the ground.

You will need to change the temporal interpolation of keyframes to include an ease in or deceleration, which is best and gives smoother animation.

    See you soon,.

  • Keyframing - motions / / postions

Hello I was wondering if anyone else has this problem I received these last days...

basically I want to text image key moving on my screen and it slow down in the Middle, so moving from left to right on my screen my keyframes is 1700 / / 700 / / 600 / /-400. The problem ive been making 600-700 its "wiggles" in the Middle, so going from 700 to 600 to 650 back then return 600 with no keyframes in the middle of 700 or 600...

If someone understands that can help me haha!

My wording was somewhat awkward.  I'm sorry.

What I meant is that, under the temporal Interpolation, make sure that keyframing is set to linear - no Bezier.

In the effects control, select the range of keyframes in question, right-click, and in Temporate Interpolation, select linear.

  • Keyframe position problem

I can't understand why this is happening. A packed a rectangle shape that slides in a movie as dark a background for the text of the white subtitles.

The Y position begins to 315 (bottom) to go to 270 then when new a new legend appears slides form save up to 315 and slides to 270 with a new text. It looks a lot like the Jquery slideshow captions if you're familiar. in any case, I have a key like this, image line

Position the shape of rectangle Y: 315... 270... (here, it goes to 275, and then back to 270 or so, I don't know why)... 270 315

I do not understand why it fluctuates like that... Does anyone else have this problem?

I think you see the ping pong effect. You can fix it by changing the keyframe in linear temporal interpolation. The best way to do it so move the CTI (current time marker) to somewhere before or after the keyframe, select the layer, and then select the key problem in the Composition window. You should see the squares change open to a full square. You can also see the Bezier handles in the path.

Once you're here and hold Alt + Ctrl on windows or command + Option on a Mac and a hover above the keyframe. You should see a slightly sloping inverted V (convert vertex tool). You can also manually select the tool Vertex convert under the tool pen in the toolbar. Click the keyframe and the problem will disappear.

This ping pong effect and it is often observed when the temporal interpolation of spatial keyframes is set to Bezier. Most of the time your movement seems better, more natural, but if it's a constant problem, you can change the setting to linear in the AE preferences.

In my opinion, Photoshop CS6 and more with no 3rd party software resampling, just updated to bicubic (smooth gradients), the old reliable setting that goes way back, is still the best IMO.  Automatic setting of default bicubic called Bicubic Sharper in the case of subsampling, which introduces horrible artifacts.   I put my general preference for Interpolation of images to bicubic (best for smooth gradients).  If you really like things more smooth and less strong looking, bicubic smoother can be a good alternative to a default setting.  It's kind of up to you.

With Photoshop CC, it's going to be a new choice to increase the resolution of the Image - the dialog box Image size, Details of preserve (enlargement).  This seems to be good enough to increase the resolution in the general case.  It just seems bicubic fact standard for the downsampling, if I let it just set this way.

Maybe it's the post office that you are remembering.  Keep in mind that you will not have access to the new function of Photoshop CC upsampling until June 17.

  • image processor script and the parameter interpolation image (cs3)

    Hi all

I am using Bridge and Photoshop CS3 (mac) allows to process batches of photos. I discovered the 'Processor of Image' script does take into account the "image interpolation" setting of my general preferences in Photoshop.

It's very painful, because I can't use 'Of Image Processor' longer, because it produces soft images, where I need sharp ones (my fault for "interpolation of the image" is "Bicubic Sharper".)

    No idea/solution workaround?

Original title: Wedge Touch Mouse with Windows RT on VivoTab RT

    Hello, everyone.

I've got MS Wedge mouse to use with ASUS RT enrich your life, so it has some issues. The principal is lagging standing of moving the pointer. I think it's a problem of drivers, because it lags behind more when a process performs (web page loads, for example). But even more interesting is that gal becomes extremely huge when I plug in, the perception of the cord to the tablet.

It is important to say that another mouse Bluetooth from another provider does not have this problem. There is of course no scroll kinetic touch but it costs 5 times cheaper and works quite well!

Hope someone has a solution for this problem. Thank you.

UPD: it seems that this problem is due to the WiFi Broadcom adapter. Turn Wi - Fi off stops late pointer but you leave = connectionless) editing the properties of the adapter does not work.

I solved my problem by defining "Bluetooth Collaboration" parameter set to "Disabled network card." Hope this will help you with your question. Good luck.

  • How to manually manage the interpolation between keyframes 2?

    Hello

I am currently working on a plugin that apply to tour (depending on the angles of yaw, pitch, and roll) to a video.

I would like to know if it is possible to control these 3 angles between the 2 keyframes interpolation (other than linear, Bezier, etc.) or by manually adding intermediaries points to control the trajectory?

    THX in advance

Using the effect of the AE API, with an arbitrary parameter data type, you could control your own interpolation (see PF_Arbitrary_INTERP_FUNC).  You can try to use such a parameter in combination with a user interface control angle.

  • VertexShader - parameter / matrix editions

I'm trying to implement a simple shader mask for my 2D engine and I have several problems to make it work.

Basically the shader takes two images and two matrices and tries remap back the position of vertices in the vertex sprites to the position of the local space mask then calculates the local uv coordinates for the mask, but I'm stuck with a few calculations base here.

Bug 1: Divisions of the core hardware vertex work not at all. That's why I put invertedMaskSize (which is 1.0 / 128,0) in the shader (but we already know that )

Bug 2: interpolated vars must be float4, float2 isn't possible (it's a pretty old bug as well)

I tried the following changes in the shader. The shader posted here, just try to display the uv coordinates resulting. No texture is used.

    Case 1:

    float4 ((vertexPos.x + halfMaskSize.x) = interpolatedMaskUV * invertedMaskSize.x, (vertexPoss.y + halfMaskSize.y) * invertedMaskSize.y, 0.0, 0.0);

The output is as follows: http://dev.nulldesign.de/plain_uvcoords.PNG Just like you expect! Perfect, we'll proceed.

    Case 2:

Change the halfMaskSize and the invertedMaskSize to float2 and set the parameters in the form of two vectors of length two of course in ACE. Output: http://dev.nulldesign.de/float2_uvcoords.png

    Case 3:

Masking test, the multiplication of matrices. First calculate the position of the global space of the vertex:

    float4 worldSpacePos = float4 (vertexPos.x, vertexPos.y, 0.0, 1.0) * objectToClipSpaceTransform;

It maps then back to the local space of the mask:

    float4 localMaskSpacePos = worldSpacePos * maskObjectToClipSpaceTransform;

    And calculating the uv coords:

    float4 ((localMaskSpacePos.x + halfMaskSize.x) = interpolatedMaskUV * invertedMaskSize.x, (localMaskSpacePos.y + halfMaskSize.y) * invertedMaskSize.y, 0.0, 0.0);

For the test, I put the maskObjectToClipSpaceTransform in contrast to the objectToClipSpaceTransform. In theory and on paper, it should work.

But, I think, something is happening in disorder and maybe the maskObjectToClipSpaceTransform is screwed in the shader, just as when I put the halfMaskSize and the invertedMaskSize to float2. The result is the following: http://dev.nulldesign.de/local_uvcoords.png and I don't have any idea how to resolve this...

I know that we are working with an old version of four months of pb3d and I hope that a new version will be out soon and maybe all these bugs that I have met are already solved, but if it isn't... Here is an another shader to fix

I just discovered another question when I worked through your example. If you have a parameter that is used by the kernel of vertex and a parameter that is used by the material evaluateVertex of the core function, they must have different names, even though they are supposed to be the same value. The particular setting that gave me the wrong is objectToClipSpaceTransform. I use it in my kernel of vertex standard, but it is also used in your example as an input to the function evaluateVertex.

We have not yet worked which is the right way to deal with this situation, for the moment, the work around is to make sure that the settings are two different names.

  • Problems of quality of 3D interpolation

    Hi all

Everyone has noticed how the 3D interpolation results in loss of Visual quality of the movieclip?  For example, if I have text inside a movieclip and then put a Tween 3D on this movieclip, the text becomes almost blurry (even when the Tween is finished).  Then if I take off the movieclip 3D interpolation, the text returns to be perfectly clear.  It is not just text its content with a Tween 3D on it; text is the most sensitive.  Is anyone else dealing with this?

Is there something I'm missing, as a parameter of quality on the 3D tweens?

I have a number (the number of employees) attribute that varies over time, and I've set up a temporal logic to draw the consequences of this value.

I would like to collect this attribute in an interview of determinations Web but don't know how. Is there a native way to achieve this? If not, is it possible to do this by using the entity instances (for example, by putting in place of an entity called "period of time" and that maps then the periods of time in the timeline "number of employees")?

In short, what is the standard way to handle this situation?

    Thanks for your help.

Looks like you used the TemporalFromRange() on a line by itself. In this context she would expect that TemporalFromRange to return a Boolean value (ie. a condition) which explains why he has tried to turn this last parameter to a Boolean value.

Make sure you have an attribute to store the result in, for example:

the number of employees = TemporalFromRange(the time periods, the time period start date, the time period end date, the number of employees during the time period)
