  No, I'm sorry to say that the Verizon (9530) and the phone VodFone (9500) will not support WiFi.   There is nothing you can do or add to it support WiFi.

  There is a storm coming on the Rogers network (9520) that supports WiFi.

  Any ideas how can I synchronize my Storm with Outlook on PoP (non-Exchange Server).  BlackBerry Desktop Manager allows Contacts, Notes, tasks, Cal (all works great) can't seem to understand how to synchronize e-mail.  My big worry is synchronization all the emails that I send and respond when I'm away from the office.  How can I synchronize these?

  One is a map of support (usually ' 1') and the other is the '2 device memory '.

  What is the size of your card? It say 2 GB, the total space on 1 could show that 2GB (or just less like 1.87 GB)

  It's a bug in the current operating system of your device.

  One way around it is to go to OPtions > screen/keyboard > keyboard mode portrait and change there SureType or Mutlitap.

  I have a TELUS 2 9550 storm on the rogers network, had the same problem with the my number, tried using unicdma and hex, but it is only for older versions. I finally found "my number" changed, going on ebay and bought a SPC/MSL # for $ 8, tested and worked fine...

  To add to the above, you will need to override the methods "automatic" which will use the foregoing. Left alone, the "automatic" methods will offer only you OS packages sanctioned by the carrier for which your BB was built (under the VendorID on the device). But, you are not limited only to those... the easiest is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (3) download and install to your PC, the BB OS package you want:

  (4) If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  (5) run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

  Do not forget to save.

  Note that if you had to make a special "tricks" for your BB to function initially get on your carrier (for example, your BB model no is not natively supported by your carrier system), then this process will wipe those out, and you have to make them once again after it's over.   Anyone else have a problem with the storm 2 9550 regarding to the dial pad?  I can dial a number with the touch-tone phone or use voice dialing or redialing of my newspaper to appeal, but once I'm on the phone and make it appear my keypad - this is glitched - numbers are only missing mostly 1 and 5 will appear.  While the boxes for numbers are letters are only partially or not at all and the figures are either not present, or in the wrong place.  I can not press 1 to reach the operator problem type.  It is a totally useless dial pad once the phone is used.  Any ideas how to fix this very frustrating glitch?  I did a hard reset on the plan of removing the battery.   I use a blackberry 9550 v 5.0.0.320 and am a customer of verizon.  I had my phone for a little over a month - of course-.   Thanks for any help or suggestion.

  I got exactly the same problem on my new Storm 2.

  You can fix this by going to Options-> screen / keyboard-> keyboard Portrait mode:

  Make sure that you have not selected "keyboard" and choose one of the other two options. Save the settings and that's all.

  Seems that the keyboard is going bonkers over this parameter, which I filed as a bug on the current version of the operating system. (Is there a database of bugs when this can be filed?)
