  Currently I use two arduinos asynchronous data read from sensors of temperature and humidity. Each arduino send back 4 floats, separated by commas, with a stop of "\n" character In labview, data gets broken upward and then pushed to live plots. In addition, the data gets written to a file - arduino #1 and #2 Arduino have their data sent to different files. It is important to note that the arduinos have different rates by which they send data on the comms series. Ideally, we would like that the data of every arduino to enter and update locations independent real-time each other.

  I'm having a problem where data do not seem to be displayed in real time. I can touch a thermocouple and then ten seconds later, the temperature will change. This delay seems to grow over the short program, which is a problem since we use a direct result of the plots to determine when to start various processes of cooling.

  I wonder if due to different data rates the thrust arudiunos, if there is some kind of buffer somewhere that has a "backlog" of the fastest arrduino data and must wait for the slower arduino data until it does nothing. It is obviously a problem of data flow, but I'm pretty green with LabView and was looking for some advice or pointers. I want to mention that the arduinos send data quickly; they send every two seconds or more.

  can you please try to use two separate while loops, one for each COM port, because if they're in the same loop, it can happen that they block each other.

  A second option is always read all the information on the COM port and made a ring buffer and filter information of these buffers.

  Use a while loop with a delay (hold function) as 1s configures a Shift Register (SR) in rt - by clicking on the border of the While loop. A digital constant of the appropriate data type of wire to the left terminal of the use of SR. a function Adder to add instant power for every second & stop the while loop after based on logic after a certain amount of timeout. Wire indicator to the right of the RS Terminal, you'll get the total power obtained over a period of time.

  Minor first comments.  Why are you re-reading your every 2 seconds config file?  Expect you to change?  If it is then played once and not proofread.

  I think it would be better if you stopped when an error occurred, you can do this by wiring to the RO error enter the stop condition, or use the arithmatic composed with gold.

  But I think the main question you have, it's that your Arduino reference may be whipped out if you do the wrong things.  If your equal comparison is false, you go to the wrong case, where you are not passing the arduino reference.  So when you go to close you don't close your reference and your equipment will always be open, and you try to run again will result in an error.  For even if your loop runs for 0 iterations your reference is lost.  An updated version, which has some of these changes is attached.

  You say that you use VISA, but you have installed?  The error dialog box you get would be typical of someone who has no VISA drivers installed.

  I had recommended in the drivers DVD to burst again and running that.

• Problem with Labview communication with Arduino Uno

  I tried to run a simple program in labview through my Arduino Uno R3 all morning and keep running into the same problem: no response from my Board of Directors. I'll catch you up on what I've done so far:

  -flashed LIFA Base to my Arduino
  -Downloaded the driver update of VISA

  written-a the block diagram (I hope) for a led on off function

  When I run the program in labview, the RX flashing intermittent, continue for 30 seconds before stopping. The led on pin 13 is not turned off as it should, and I have no control over the power function light. I also tried a program of control of servo with no response and the same flash of RX. Never the TX flashes.

  I am quite stuck, so any help is greatly appreciated. Also I'm not a comp sci guy, I'm just an engineer in mechanics with a half of C++ so keep pg when it comes to the language of the computer.

  SOLVED: Reset the Arduino card after that labview had sent his orders (while the RX light was still flashing). Works like a charm.

  Why are you not using an INSERT..SELECT ?
  
  Also, what are you trying to achieve by
  - incremental commits?
  - copying data from one table to another (using expensive I/O)?
  - using dynamic DML?
  
  Most of these approaches are typically wrong - and not recommended for scalable and performant Oracle applications.
  

  I could see you using a CURSOR for LOOP if you change the data inserted so that you could not encapsulate the changes in a query, but you do an insert in right in the table of your cursor. A much more effective way would be to use the following changes I made to your code sample:

  I have a double precision scalar value to a DAC that represents the current measured in a domestic wind turbine application. This value is harvested in a home made circuit that has a little 'noise problem '.  This noise cause fluctuations in the value of more or less 20%, which appears visually in the gauge of the output of my VI as earthquake of the needle.  The value of the DAC is read and displayed 3 times per second.  I thought that there must be a way to display a moving average of the signal on the last bed N or N seconds that would moderate the noise and the hand shake a little.  Tried to play with the built in RMS VI but the data entry type is table and I scalar double-precision. I'm REALLY new to Labview and swimming with ideas of what must certainly be possible but work always on absorbing the incredibly array of features that this software has.

  Thoughts appreciated.
