Partion Windows 7.

I have a XP Sp3 OS with enough space for an another partiton HDA. I intend to copy info from the XP partition on a new partition in Win 7 OS. Data that are compatible will be usable?

Yes, it will be, if you consider editing or to manipulate that information, you will need to have the appropriate applications installed on the Windows 7 partition.

    When I go to

    Start menu - right-click on computer - manage-disk mamaagement

I see my vista partion my reovery partition and my windows partition 7

but she also has a 1.46 GB little partion and is 100% free called healty (EISA CONFIGURATION)

WAT IS THIS partion and what I remmove it

and my laptop still works thanks

    Hello

    > WAT Partion IS WHO and what can I remmove it

EISA partition is basically an installation of recovery by the company partition in your hard drive, so you can run the partition without using a boot disk. Many think that if they format the computer, they can get rid of the partition, but you say that the format will only help to clean up your other drives does not delete the EISA partition as the EISA partition is not an active partition in your hard disk.

    I've posted it here:

I do not recommend to remove it

What operating system is installed on the computer?

You can use drag - and drop the feature.

Step 1: Navigate to the location of the data on C:\
    Follow the steps mentioned below:

    (a) click Start, then click computer
    (b) open C:\

Step 2: Follow the steps mentioned below:

    (a) click Start, click computer
    (b) open D:\
    (c) drag and drop the files in C in D drive (Note: you do not want to move the files that you have created such as documents, images, videos, etc..) You don't want to move the system or program related files as will interfere with access to the system/program)
    (d) repeat with as many files as you want, up to a desired amount of free space on the C drive as found.

, Note 1: You can format the D drive if no important data is available on this subject.
Note 2: Make sure that the D drive and can be used for user data and no file system or data recovery is present on the disk.

    Hello Seymour777,

There is good and bad news for this.

The good news is that there is a way to do it.

The bad news is usually the disc at the level of the publishing industry.

This operation is not in this forum.

Your best option right now is to look for a data recovery specialist or watch data recovery programs that will do the job for you.

There is no available free download of Windows 7 morals.

Contact the manufacturer of your laptop and ask them to send a set of recovery Windows 7 disk/s.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

  • Windows 7 pre installed partion delet back then how to recover windows 7 home prium

Windows 7 pre installed partion delet back then how to recover windows 7 home prium

    Hello

You have very limited options now that you have deleted the recovery partition.

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they must provide for a fee, if they still have available which is very doubtful.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

  • New installation of Windows 7 Home Basic 64 bit on Sony VAIO per recovery Partion

    Hi all

I bought sony vaio vpceh25en about 2 years with windows 7 pre basic House installled in there. But due to his slow start, I changed my Linux operating system and I still have the recovery partition, but I have no recovery disks created. I can restore factory State by default with windows 7 Home Basic WITH default drivers installed but I do not have how to restore with this recovery partion that is about 12 GB size

If you read the answers here both you told us how it's done:

Here's how it should be done:

"How to get the computer to the original factory condition using the key F10 ."

    https://CA.en.KB.Sony.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/35585/p/48903, 49902,71663,71664/c/65,67/kw/recovery%20using%20f10

BUT installation of Linux or the ultimate non-authentique could destroy the ability to access the recovery Partition.

You have to try to do.

  • Hi, I have a problem loading window it says invalid partion but starting in fast web hp I am use windows home premium 7 with ahp touch smart tm2, is the failure of hard drive

invalid partion happens at startup if you press the f10 key with that he goes to the fast sequence of hp with at least you can acess the web and that's what I'm writing this with... myQuestion is the failure of hard drive?

Perhaps, I backup and try a reinstall.

    http://notebooks.com/2011/02/25/how-to-restore-a-backup-from-an-external-hard-drive-in-Windows-7/

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

  • Can I install the same Windows 7 as a Boot Camp partition AND a VM regular partion?

I've been running Windows 7 regular valuation as a VM partion.  Now that it is officially released, I bought a copy and I upgraded my Vista to Windows 7 partition and then I start under Boot Camp or Fusion 3 lets start the boot camp partition.  Starting time on a partition Boot Camp is a bit longer than on a normal partition of VM, so I find myself most of the time with the assessment of partition of the VM, but in June, it will go away.  Could I take the installation disk that I used for the Boot Camp and install it also as a regular virtual machine, or which will cause insurmountable problems for activation?  I hate to have to buy another copy of Windows 7 just to get a faster speed when I don't want to use the complete as machine when I boot Boot Camp.  Sometimes, I have to give Windows the power of the machine, so don't want to only install as a virtual machine.

Well, I wouldn't mind a call to Microsoft if they'd let me activate both, but don't want to waste our time if they would certainly not.  Anyone try this?

Ask yourself if someone illegally active copy of Windows?  This would be a pretty Brave soul to admit illegal activities.  :-\

You only have one license for Windows if you are only allowed to have a single installation to be activated at any time.  Activate a second time to remove any other installation that uses the same license (aka product key), by the Windows EULA.  Another thing is the violation of the EULA.

The 'Microsoft police' will come knocking at your door?  Who knows.  Microsoft has billions of dollars and could very well decide to use some of those dollars to make an example of a person, like how the RIAA did to people he considers pirates.    It of ultimately your decision whether to violate the EULA or not.
