  I had the same problem.  I was able to get around by loading the driver for Windows XP 64 bit from the Canon web site and then install the printer using the normal menu of 'install new printer' Windows 8.  If I remember correctly, I could have gotten an error message or two, but the printer appears in the printer window and ran very well.  Hope this works for you as well.

  Two things:

  Your if statements are not correct - you need two equal signs to test a value not one. So, If (noCheckBox.rawValue = 0) should be If (noCheckBox.rawValue == 0)

  In file > properties of the form on the Defaults tab make sure that 'keep changes scripts... ". "is set automatically on.

  This error message is not known to me, but it seems that the application that has been installed on the recovery CD can not work properly.

  It's not easy to say why it happens maybe dysfunctions of restore CD or you partition the HARD disk is not going.
  I recommend you begin with formatting the entire HARD drive. You must also remove all partitions on HARD drive and then try to use the recovery CD and start the installation.

  I just noticed that your C drive is _very_ low on free space.  That will affect the overall performance for everything.  What operating system do you use?  Have you taken steps to free up space on your startup disk?  It is easy to do and will make a big difference.

  Otherwise, drive HARD recovery does not work because the boot manager has been changed or damaged as a result of the new install of Win 7 and this is why you cannot load HARD drive recovery.
  That is why it s always recommended to create a recovery disc before changing anything on the HARD drive.

  Drive HARD recovery does not work because Win 7 ran the Boot Manager and maybe the HDD partition has been affected.

  I guess you want to roll back to Vista preinstalled Toshiba.
