Passport blackBerry - growing calendar

I've been search parameters for the calendar on the passport and I can't find the option to turn on the growing trend.  Where is he?

I find the numbers of actual size to be a bit overwhelming and clutter up the screen when I want to quickly browse the calendar.  It kinda overload information with all issues of "in your face".

I hope this gets fixed.

Thank you!

Oh yes, the largest and most "BOLD" date number... which is not the same OS 10.3, sorry.

  • Passport blackBerry calendar times are 4 to 5 hours off on my passport

    Hello community,

I recently got the Passport. Great phone.

Had a single problem, however. I'm synced to my BES works and whenever someone sends me an invitation from calendar, the time they died in 4 or 5 hours when it hits my calendar of passports.  My calendar looks good on Outlook on my desktop, but on my passport, the times are all off.

Example: sent an invitation for 16:00 to 18:00 - my passport shows that he is 21:00 - 23:00... difference of 5 hours.

The problem is, it is not constant. Another recurring invitation is from 1230 am in my calendar, but my passport shows 430 pm - 4 hours difference.

This may be synonymous with doom very quickly.  No idea what is happening and how I can fix this problem?

  • Passport blackBerry calendar - reminder

Is it possible to set 3 reminders for an event in my calendar?

I want to be called 2 days before the event, 1 day before the event and finally 2-3 hours before the equivalents.

    is this possible?

There is just a reminder by calendar with the BlackBerry calendar entry. There may be options for your needs with a third-party app, but I don't know of anyway. Another option is to create additional entries for the same appointment or event, or just an entry that repeats. For example, an entry 2 days before the event, another entry 1 day before and then the third day of the event by an appropriate reminder. The other alternative is an entry 2 days (or whatevery) before which repeats itself each day and ends on the day of the event.

In addition, depending on what you want to do exactly, you can use tasks in the application do not forget to better meet your needs.

And then there is the possibility of a third-party application.

  • Multi day Passport BlackBerry calendar events: Bug or feature?

I have a three day event.

The month view shows the event only on the day of departure, that the other two days are not marked.

In comparison my 10.2.1 device (Z10, Z30): all days are marked by the appointment. And also in the color of the calendar, on 10.3 all appointments are gray.

It's supposed to be a new feature, or is it just a bug?

    Hi @simon_hain

I was able to reproduce this problem, and it has connected with our development team. Updates, to bookmark this KB.

It's 2 problems with my passport.  My patience to the test.  Although to be honest, my Z10 in February 2013 was a disastrous wreck of a phone - I can't believe delt with that nonesense for almost 2 years.  The Passport is a bargain compared to this, but still these 2 questions upset me a lot.

    Your help would be great.

That's what I want to do, live with it, maybe try an OS reinstall on a rainy weekend just to know if it is or not.

  • Incompatible device software Passport blackBerry

    Hi all

in December last year, I had to bring my passport, due to a sound problem, today I come back a new device and wantedt o restore the backup I took by bringing the device for.

The previous passport has been run the latest version of the operating system and the new device also comes with the latest OS loaded. After the basic including incoming settings in my Blackberry ID I plug it on my Macbook and start to Link Blackberry. The device comes back and I am able to do all operations outside to do a restore to a previous backup fact, I saved 3 backup files and record the work. The message I get is:

    Software incompatible device.

This backup file is not compatible with the version of the software for the device that you are running. Update your device software and try again.

So I did, I did a factory restore, checked if the latest updates are installed, and it still gives me this message. On the side of Mac, I tried to uninstall Blackberry link and installed again but doen't help.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

Hello, as mentioned, both devices have a passport for Blackberry and both were running the latest version of the operating system.

    Hello

Technically, there is no such thing as 'later' when discussing a version of the OS. 'later' is a variable, controlled by different entities (usually the carrier). It is therefore much more critical to state the exact OS that each device is / was running, so that it can be properly compared in situations like this. Based on the information as planned so far, we can only deduce that the earlier device had a very different level of operating system that the new, regardless of what 'later' may or may not mean. Reference:

Unless you can get the new device on the same OS as the old we were running at the time when you took the backup, then it is not possible for you to use the backup files for Aboriginal people (e.g., based on LINKS restoration). If you can determine the version of the OS that performed the previous device in the latest backup, you can use an automatic charger to get the new feature on this version, and then restore backup files.

There will be a possibility on this process, however. If, for example, the old device was on the OS 10.3.1 branch during the last backup, and the new device is now on the 10.3.2 branch, then you will be blocked from decommissioning of the new device to the 10.3.1 branch by none, whatsoever, including the automatic charger. 10.3.2 introduced the compulsory anti-theft function, which includes a solid block, preventing relief what before 10.3.2.xxxx.

I hope that you used "best practices" to use an OTA service (e.g., Outlook.com, Gmail, etc.) as the 'master' for your PIM data (calendar, contacts, etc.) instead of just "local" data for these. If Yes, then you simply have to re-enter the account to the new device and the data will be conscientiously fill with the OTA service. And then you can continue to follow the instructions provided in the KB to manually move the non - PIM data (e.g., pictures, videos, documents, etc.) from the old to the new device.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Use of high battery of passport blackBerry 10.3.2.2876

    Hello

I recently upgraded to the latest and best - or at least that's what I thought...

My battery drains now from 100% to 50% within 8 hours, although I turn the powersave even mode when you remove the device from its power supply...

BB-monitor reports on the output of the time use 14% of power, also system uses 14%, PIM-services use 10% and finally the day before (!) use 9.3% of my battery...

I tried to restart, but all this does not help and I went again from 4G to 2G use less energy there... only does help very minmal using this version.

Please notify a downgrade or if no correction could be coming soon.

batter life returned to be estimated to be two days, sleep (!) is always sucking 3.4% of my battery, but all others are now well over 3% and I guess I can (should) live with that.

I'm always curious if someone could explain to me the process of sleep powersucking

Yes, but I have developed my app for bright theme.
If I move to dark theme, unfortunately all * bleep * s upwards.

the black color for the navigation pane bar below, was also bright theme.

You cannot change the color scheme ActionBar 10.3

Cascades is the best to support you and convert all icons at bright onnew ActionBar work.

If you use the icons do not follow the user interface design Guide then conversion can fail and you will need to rework

For the title bar: If you want the blue must be created a FreeStyle title bar

    ---

So I would really recommend to rework your app looks good on 10.3 light theme

Overall, the bright theme (from my POV) now looks a lot better:

before that you had: Blue TitleBar, bright ActionBar content and dark

now, all the adjustments better together: bar title, content, ActionBar... There is no rupture 'color '.

and if you use the SignatureAction and a custom brand color I am sure that your application will look

For me 10.3 is something like the real 1.0 ;-)

BTW: I wrote a series of blog articles to help get 10.3 and supporting the Passport.
