The Australia Passport blackBerry support?

I don't want to wait until the Australia it releases at the end of the year, if I had to buy one on the States unlocked, my Australian sim card would support it?

Hi @Kaileah,

To ensure compataibilty, I would recommend contacting your provider of wireless and asking if they support the bands listed on the shopblackberry BlackBerry Passport site.

I think it is device independent because it is a function of the network and not tied to an operating system.

Don't take my word for it (I'm not the expert on these forums who knows a ton on this subject) and make sure you test on a real device.

  • The default Passport blackBerry device password

Hello. I just got a new passport. When I was upgrading my phone, the NEW PHONE first, I still got part of device password. However, he already had the password when I tried to put a. I searched the internet for more than an hour, but it was not a valid response to it. So, assuming I "forgot" the password, I wiped the phone. When I turned on again and went to the device password, I still had a password EVEN AFTER I WIPE THE PHONE. How can I reset my password? Is this my problem device? How can I solve this? I even can't save it because I do not know my password, I've ever put forward. Please answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

Sorry all. I figured out. Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Passport email Html appears in the Hub on Blackberry Passport

    Dear Support Forums,

I have recently upgraded to a new phone (BlackBerry passport) and have encountered a problem with my email.

I am not able to display html emails in my inbox on my device. When I saw the same email from my desktop via outlook or webmail it displays very well.
I can view emails html of my other personal e-mail accounts very well on the device, however, it's just my business email which will not display emails correctly on the device. I jumped through all the hoops support with technical support from my mobile provider and technical support of my corporate email provider already and they have determined that the problem is the end of Blackberry.

I would like to know if there is something that can be done to help.
    Thank you

    noelgREALTY.

As temporary (since my last post) I had the account e-mail problem and set up the Activesync for contacts & calendar only (no e-mail) and set up a separate IMAP on the same device for the part by e-mail only. In this configuration, I could get HTML emails as usual, but I lost the functionality to send Calendar invites via ActiveSync.

I did updates BBOS and whenever have tried turning on the email back for ActiveSync see the updates addressed the issue. I had not checked it lately / after the update so I tried today and voila! My ActiveSync email now displays HTML emails as usual in my problem email account. If all is good now.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones MIssion Impossible: How to communicate with anyone on the Blackberry support

    Hi all!

I have an important question for the BlackBerry support team (is not directly related to a product specific to BB, but related to the support of BB products in general), but it was impossible to contact anyone, somehow, in support of BlackBerry.

Can someone help me on this mission?

    Thank you

    Ricardo

RIM does not guarantee other support devices by wireless companies.  So, if you buy from someone and they don't give you a guarantee then you will get probably no guarantee through RIM.   That's the pitfall of equipment from unauthorized dealers.  I am a TMobile customer we.  However, I can't directly call the RIM and get warranty support.  If I want to RIM support I have to pay $50 for the case.  But, if I called TMobile and they can't solve my problem they can escalate my case to RIM without cost to me.

This is how their system works.

  • Incompatible device software Passport blackBerry

    Hi all

in December last year, I had to bring my passport, due to a sound problem, today I come back a new device and wantedt o restore the backup I took by bringing the device for.

The previous passport has been run the latest version of the operating system and the new device also comes with the latest OS loaded. After the basic including incoming settings in my Blackberry ID I plug it on my Macbook and start to Link Blackberry. The device comes back and I am able to do all operations outside to do a restore to a previous backup fact, I saved 3 backup files and record the work. The message I get is:

    Software incompatible device.

This backup file is not compatible with the version of the software for the device that you are running. Update your device software and try again.

So I did, I did a factory restore, checked if the latest updates are installed, and it still gives me this message. On the side of Mac, I tried to uninstall Blackberry link and installed again but doen't help.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

Hello, as mentioned, both devices have a passport for Blackberry and both were running the latest version of the operating system.

    Hello

Technically, there is no such thing as 'later' when discussing a version of the OS. 'later' is a variable, controlled by different entities (usually the carrier). It is therefore much more critical to state the exact OS that each device is / was running, so that it can be properly compared in situations like this. Based on the information as planned so far, we can only deduce that the earlier device had a very different level of operating system that the new, regardless of what 'later' may or may not mean. Reference:

Unless you can get the new device on the same OS as the old we were running at the time when you took the backup, then it is not possible for you to use the backup files for Aboriginal people (e.g., based on LINKS restoration). If you can determine the version of the OS that performed the previous device in the latest backup, you can use an automatic charger to get the new feature on this version, and then restore backup files.

There will be a possibility on this process, however. If, for example, the old device was on the OS 10.3.1 branch during the last backup, and the new device is now on the 10.3.2 branch, then you will be blocked from decommissioning of the new device to the 10.3.1 branch by none, whatsoever, including the automatic charger. 10.3.2 introduced the compulsory anti-theft function, which includes a solid block, preventing relief what before 10.3.2.xxxx.

I hope that you used "best practices" to use an OTA service (e.g., Outlook.com, Gmail, etc.) as the 'master' for your PIM data (calendar, contacts, etc.) instead of just "local" data for these. If Yes, then you simply have to re-enter the account to the new device and the data will be conscientiously fill with the OTA service. And then you can continue to follow the instructions provided in the KB to manually move the non - PIM data (e.g., pictures, videos, documents, etc.) from the old to the new device.

Good luck and let us know!
