  I'm an Oracle Apex developer for 2 years now.

  Recently, I was in charge of search and do a few examples of how to print pdf with Oracle Apex 4.2.2 (Oracle 11 g).

  I want to use Apex 2.0 listener that standalone as a print server, we installed and we changed the configuration of the print server in the administration workspace. Then I created a report query and when I have the test report, a pdf file is downloaded, but when he opens, Adobe reader tells me that is not a valid pdf file.

  Our Apex application runs in the pl/sql gateway mode not Apex listener.

  So my squestion is: "" Is it mandatory for application Apex runs in mode listener Apex to use Apex listener 2.0 as a print server?".

  You have answered your own question... If you use the EPG, then you can NOT use another product middleware or application server until you turn off the EPG...

  Why you use the EPG in production?  Oracle does NOT recommend this (see the APEX Oracle installation instructions..)

  from a security point of view I would strongly recommend NOT to include a clear text password in an HTML page or pass it through a url!

  But back to your question why it does not work. It does exactly what you say APEX. Go to page 101. If you want to simulate a page you submit must use BRANCH_TO_PAGE_ACCEPT which tells APEX to go to this page, but performs the 'Treatment of the Page' page instead of make. • Forgotten password in APEX 4

  Hello
  I have a use requires express permission: to auth a user when they connect.
  I have a button on my login page called forgotten password.
  What I want to achieve is that when they click on forgot password, a new message (auto-generated) by email to the user.
  I looked at APEX_UTIL. RESET_PW, but that requires administrator rights, and I really want to give administrative rights to my users.
  
  How can this be achieved? any ideas? or maybe that someone has created a page with APEX that do that already...

  This is ONE of the reasons why I don't recommend development of applications using APEX based authentication on... With the help of custom basic authentication, there are existing examples out there of how to proceed...

• Script export application APEX and saving on DB

  I use 5 APEX. I currently have a script that runs to back up my data to DB (schema "PS"). I want to add in the export of my APEX application for this script and stored in the DB as well. My Application ID will always be "100" and the work/schema namespace name is the same "PS". What is the best way to do it?

  Exactly how do you expect the java export routine to support export to the database?  It' are expresses the goal is to export the application EXTERNAL to the database, you can use the file in a version control environment or a way to install using another API command line...

  What is the problem with writing a small procedure or an anonymous block to insert in a table?  You cannot add code to your existing, or is the script script existing non-Oracle script?

  I'm looking to integrate an Oracle form to an APEX application or be able to call an Oracle for an APEX Application form and open the form of the Oracle in a typical session of the EBS Java.

  I've seen several posts on this exact requirement, but none of the information is very current. I saw real Blog: integrating Oracle Forms with APEX which uses APEX$ CALL_FORM but I was not able to find any documentation on how to use this feature.

  I use version 12.1.3 EBS and on a Glassfish Server(I can update this to version 5 if it makes this easier)-4.2.0.00.27 APEX.

  Any information you can provide that I would be grateful.

  APEX$ CALL_FORM isn't a documented Oracle procedure. You must build your own procedure CALL_FORM $ APEX.

  I started playing with APEX to implement a form of data entry simple to complete a table, please excuse that I have not read too deeply into the APEX documentation yet.

  So what I want to know is: how to ensure that changes made to a table (for example adding a column through SQL Developer) are recorded in the elements of my app APEX (create the form)?

  I can't imagine that it would be terribly complicated, but still could not find a fairly obvious way for me as a beginner.

  Any tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  When columns are added to the underlying table changes, change the form page in your application, and set the properties of the item column of database Source Type and Source of value or expression in the name of the column (note that, contrary to the normal practice of Oracle column name, is case sensitive).

  I've been running several applications in the same database in Apex 4.2.2. I use Oracle HTTP Server 10.2 for web access to customers. I have 4000 users in systems, but at the same time can be logged 500. Server Web is in DMZ, and database server's internal network. We notice that we conduct page huge hit in the system, very high. I noticed a client IP had 44 000 visits in one day and on a daily basis any number of access is 500 000 to 600 000. That is for me, it's huge. This huge success makes the firewall close the connection to the web server. This disturbance is causing the company a lot.

  
  

  I would like to know how Oracle Apex communicates with the web server and clients, is the mechanism of Oracle Apex which causes this huge success or is it for external cause, such as a DoS attack or something like that.   Hi I have kind of a resolved / by past the problem. Now, I have no connection to the bottom of the problem. The problem was. Subdomain (say myapp.testlab.com) of my app had a single IP address, router treated the huge success of the same IP address as a threat and that's why router blocked the real IP of this subdomain. We did it, we asked our dns provider to add a few more (5) IPs for the same subdomain. Now, as dns selects a single IP among 5 fps in alternating single IP does not get as much success as to be blocked by the router. It works better now. Cordially Hasan Al Mamun

  An ApexListener instance can point to a DB only. You can configure several ApexListeners on the same installation of GF, each pointing to a DB.
