  Futura is not a "web safe font' (a handful of fonts installed by default on almost all computers) as well as those who have it installed on their machines will be able to see it unless you use the rule of @font-face.

  Otherwise, the second font in your font css family stack is what to replace. At the present time, since you don't have any "stack" defined in your css, police 'serif' default browser is used.

  I have no idea if Futura is allowed to use on Web sites. Not all fonts are licensed for online use and, as I mentioned, I have not installed it, you may need to use a slightly different font somewhere like www.google.com/fonts (free) or www.fontsquirrel.com (paid) to get the effect you want without you opening up to grumpy owners of fonts.

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
  • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
  • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
  • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Last week, we got our connections and what not and can surf the internet completely fine with the exception of our email, our course Web site and portal to all these things. These websites won't even load, so I can never put in my credentials. I then plugged in ethernet and everything worked except for the portal site. The error message that I always get "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server." I spoke with some computer scientists and that they had no idea of what could be done.
