• How to paste a path in a mask and retains its size?

  Hi all

  I'm struggling with something that I think should be very simple.

  I have a line, and I want to animate it with the "edge effect", because I want it to appear from the beginning to the end.

  To do this, I create a new solid with the size of the comp.; creating a new mask; and paste the path into the mask path so I can apply the line effect.

  The big problem is that when I paste the path in the mask, it just misaligned and out of scale (larger than the original path).

  How could I solve this problem?

  Stroke is applied to a mask not a trajectory. The path will be the size of the mask only when the layer is 100%.

  If you are talking just apply the edge effect to reveal a line drawn as a layer of shape or a line on another document, then you can create the mask path on top of the line on the same layer and apply related. and set to reveal original.

  If you do something else show us a screenshot of your publication with all the properties revealed for all layers. Just select all layers and press the u key twice.

• Paste a shape as a mask when there are several layers?

  I have a couple of layers that I applied the auto vector command in order to hide. I want to now draw a rectangle rounded on part of my canvas, cut this rectangle with corners rounded and right-click on the drawing area and choose Edition > paste as mask, so the picture will be revealed due to the rounded rectangle shape. It works with a single layer, but now that I have several layers and masks vector auto I don't know which image/layer for click straight on and do with?

  Instead of cutting the rounded rectangle, leave it at the top of the stack of items, select all three objects, then select Modify > mask > Group as mask (or you can right click to select the group in the mask). This command will apply the object higher in the selection as a mask for the items below.

• Paste without formatting shortcut fails in CS3

  'Paste without formatting' feature works very well from the menu drop-down EDIT, but when I use Ctrl-Shift-V try bonding anyway, whatever it is in unicode mode out scrambled and the screen flashes back to the original.  Very strange. I don't remember what happens before update the lateset CS3 (5.0.4) update. Something went haywire. No one knows about it?

  (5) affect any other key combination to paste without Fmt. That's how it works? (Pertinychance that some piece of hard or software interferes with this particular combo.)

  With the help of someone in the developer forums, we found that even if I had the script editor in the Security section, he wasn't allowing me to call subroutines for some reason strikes any.

  I went through this dozens of times on this forum. To be successful, you need to set a keyframe. Here goes:

  1. Select your shape (Rectangle 1) and right click and select Convert to Bezier path
  2. Open the Rectangle 1 path and set a keyframe
  3. Copy
  4. Select the layer that you want to add a mask of
  5. Choose the pen tool
  6. Click anywhere on the layer to set the first vertex
  7. If you try to put a mask on a shape layer, you must reset the pen tool to create a mask instead of a new form, before setting the first vertex
  8. Dough

  That's all. Works every time. The only problem is that the layer you add the mask must be posted on the default transformation and the shape layer, that you have copied from must also be to default transformations. That and everything works every time.

  When I paste a JPEG or PDF in Photoshop, not all the time, but about half the time, appears a giant icon JPEG or CEO - not the image itself.

  When I want to use one in Photoshop I cut and paste in it. Is this the right way and if so why?

  Because only in this way not just copy you the contents of the pixel (profile) but the file.

  Ideally, one should open the image (in Photoshop itself in this case) and copy pixel content if necessary.

  Implementation could cause interpolation if source image and image containing different resolutions if even that could be useful in avoiding if no transformations are likely to be performed on the image.

  So eager to edit images in a PDF one would be better open the pictures, not to convert the pdf page, to avoid an unnecessary image degradation.

  

  I especially want to solve the problem of pasting a jpg in the mask layer - or another way to use the texture of a jpg in the layer mask.

  How widely you used to edit the layer masks?

  Do you use images full color as basis for masks or individual channels?

• Problem Windows 7 Office copy and paste history more

  I am facing this problem using Desktop App with Windows 7 copy and paste.

  It seems to be a problem with the latest version of Adobe AIR (14.0)

  To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

  -First, uninstall 'Adobe AIR' from the control panel

  -Download the previous version of Adobe AIR from this link

  Archived Adobe AIR SDK versions

  (search for the 'runtime Adobe AIR 13 downloads' section and downlaod version of windows)

  -install this version and then start story again to check

• Opacity mask work link

  So, I have a problem with the AI CS6 and the link of the work with masks of opacity... for example, I placed a black and white image that I use as a mask 'grunge effect' on a group within my work. The problem I have is that when I do two things (move the work itself or by the work of copy/paste in another file) the mask does not. I have the small link selected on the opacity mask that says "link to work.  I also tried 'Expansion' of the work without result. Am I missing a setting or something that would allow me to "finalize" a work of art that has an opacity mask applied so that I can use it elsewhere?

  I'm a fan of Illustrator/Forum, so please be indulgent with my terminology etc, but I look forward to any help someone can offer. I think that my have had a setting or something wrong. I saw a tutorial on YouTube where a guy moves his work around once its opacity mask is linked, but mine is not that hers has. It is strange and frustrating. Is this normal?

  Edit: I opened them have an opacity mask on my computer desktop and tried and it worked until moving work in same work plan. But if I copy and paste the work in a new file I, the mask does not remain. Is this normal?

  Have you made sure you have your selected work when you try to move / copy - paste your work?

  

  If you have the work selected in the transparency Panel, you should be able to move or copy and paste your image and maintain transparency.

  You can also try to flatten your opactiy mask if you do not need to keep the mask. To do this, make sure that your work is select as shown above. Then, click object > flatten transparency.

  

  From there, drag the pixelation/vectorization to 100 balance and press OK.

  

  Your images will be then divided into different sections, you can group/merge together or change. You can see below that the opactiy mask disappeared from the transparency Panel.

  This is regarding the Microsoft Answer sent/replied on June 21, 2012 from Dan at IT Associates.  Dan to associate IT recommended/suggested that I do the following:

  From an account with administrator privileges:

  1. go to c:\documents and settings\your_user_account\desktop and either:

  (a) copy / paste the desktop shortcuts in this folder on matching funds to the other two accounts records

  OR

  b cut-and - paste the Office subfolder and/or shortcuts in this folder at c:\documents and settings\all Users\Bureau

  2. go to the menu c:\documents and settings\your_user_accounts\start and either:

  (a) copy - paste the Office subfolder and/or shortcuts in this folder on the corresponding files for the other two accounts

  OR

  b cut-and - paste the Officesubfolder or shortcuts in the folder c:\documents and settings\all Users\Menu.

  Sign out and then sign in as each of the three users to check that the start menu has the same Office subfolder and/or desktop shortcuts that had your user account, and that the Office shortcuts to the Office programs that were on the desktop of your user account.

  On my other accounts two user, the yellow folder with the following shortcut for WI... is displayed.  On my user account, the big W appears within a white square inside a blue border.  On the Start Menu shortcut to WI... words appear next to the Microsoft Word icon.  Why the same does not appear in the Start Menu on my other two user accounts?  On my user account, Microsoft Word appears on the display both ways.

  Shortcuts tell you the actual file is elsewhere and the actual file information is shared.  You can create your own copy of the shortcut (for example, the shortcut for send to) and delete the shortcut and your menu send to this user will be considerably different from the others.

  When you want to change the Start Menu, it is possible to navigate to "programs" and locate the shortcut that you want to display on the Start Menu. To add Microsoft Word from the start menu, try this: using your mouse, right click on the shortcut in the programs in office - says Microsoft Office Word - and select the "Pin to Start Menu" or the same way, "Pin to the taskbar.

  Computer desktop and personalization. My sister recently used my PC(XP Professional) and all the files on my deskstop dissaperead, I tried the system restore, paste the new shortcuts but it does not appear on my desk instead it is apparent on the deskstop access you MY computer in the 2nd highest scroll bar, but still I can't put all the shortcuts on my deskstop.
