  Win7 64 teacher, Oracle 11.2.0.4.0
  Although the last group of patches 503 has been installed, there is the news that 'Patch Set 5.0.2.00.07 is available'.

  Please see screenshot. No other problems with the 503 until now.

  Hi all

  Can someone help me on this point, when I install Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.1.0) and patch set 10.1.3.5.0 on Linux. I'm not able to find the container forms and reports.

  This version does not support forms and the States or I go what OAS 10 g R2 (10.1.2.0.2) with the patch set 3 (10.1.2.3.0). What is the difference between these two versions.

  Hi James,

  First of all forms and reports are only available in OAS 10 g 2 (10.1.2.0.2) and you would go to the latest version in gr 10, 2 which is 10.1.2.3.

  The Oracle Application Server 10 g 3 version is a limited edition and SOA and OC4J components.

  So if you need to forms and reports, you must make 10 gr 2 OAS.

  Media pack Readme for the parts needed to download for the various products of the EMP, Essbase has Oracle Identity Management 11 g Patch Set 5 (11.1.1.6.0) for Microsoft Windows x 86 (64-bit) listed. Can someone please tell me if this is a must have. If this isn't the case, under what conditions do this?

  One of my APEX engine is still under the 4.1.0.00.32 version - all others were already updated with the Patch Set 4.1.1.00.23. I wonder if, for the engine APEX with the version 4.1.0.00.32 (without the patch), can I put it directly in the APEX 4.2.0.00.27?

  The reason is that the upgrade you mentioned was an update which has improved the installed version. Ranging from 4.1 or a version earlier than 4.2, in its name one updated, in effect installs a new version of the Apex base objects and then copy spaces of existing work and applications for this installation. Apart from what gives a clean installation, this also has the advantage of maintaining the old environment if you have to downgrade. See

  There is a confusion, 11.2 patchsets are now full. So now you can download and install 11.2.0.3 directly.

  Oracle combines a version number of the hotfix. The fifth database version number is incremented for each power supply. For example, the original POWER supply is version 11.1.0.7.1, the second power supply for version 11.1.0.7 is 11.1.0.7.2 and so on.
  
  My DBA just told me that they applied PSU3 to our database, that was the version number 11.2.0.2.0. I checked the version number after the power supply has been applied, but it is always the same:
  
  SQL > select version of v$ instance;

  -----------------
  11.2.0.2.0
  
  The PSUS are changing the fifth version number or not?

  You can query sys.registry$ history and check the comments column to find the power supply applied. It is updated when executing the step according to patch (catbundle.sql).

• Problem running the sample Application after installation patch set 4.0.2.00.07

  We just applied the fix 4.0.2.00.07 on our environment to TEST APEX4.0.
  Now, I can not run the sample application. "When I run the application, log in using either the administrator or the user of demo with the #lower_case_workspace_name #", the browser generates the following error message:
  
  ORA-06550: line 2, column 8: PLS-00201: identifier 'CUSTOM_AUTH' must be declared ORA-06550: line 2, column 1: PL/SQL: statement ignored
  ERR-10460 error cannot perform the function of verification of the authentication credentials.
  
  The sample application works very well on our DEV APEX 4.0.0.00.46 environment * without * the patch set 4.0.2.00.07.
  
  Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem

  You must apply the patch on each node when APPL_TOP and 8.0.6 $ORACLE_HOME are presented.

  PL see ML Doc 232313.1 (information on previous Versions of developer 6i Patchsets) which lists the different version numbers installed by different versions of 6i (Patch15 to Patch 18 ) fix.

  If you call f60desm on Unix, you can see which version is installed.

  You can also run the executable file in ORACLE_HOME/orainst/inspdver $ to get the version number. See ML Doc 148392.1 (how to find what has been installed on a Unix Forum)

  Then you have the wrong spec, patch 1 is 10.2.0.2, patch 2 is 10.2.0.3, patch 3 is 10.2.04, see Note: 316900.1 ALERT: Oracle 10 g Release 2 (10.2) Support Status and alerts

  I agree that it is hard to find in Metalink. Real it's complicated so I'll give the steps:

  -If you have access, connect to Metalink
  -If you have access, click on the tab "Patches & Updates"
  -Select 'Simple search '.

  On the Simple search screen.
  -Select search by 'Product or family' and type "RDBMS Server (RDBMS)"
  -Select Release (10.2.0.4)
  -Select the Type of Patch "of the Group of patches/Minipack.
  -Select the Classification 'everything '.
  -Select the operating system (whatever)
  -Click on Go

  and select the largest file in the (usually short) list of the Group of patches for this version. In this case, you will see 6810189

  Furthermore, Support provides online free courses/seminars/webcasts to learn stuff. If you want to administer a system, consider taking these courses.

  The 11.1.2.3.500 game patches released last week was supposed to provide certification of Internet Explorer 10.  I read the documentation of all the patches and did not see this class.  What product and the fix is it included in, or is he not ready yet?

  IE 10 support is added with 11.1.2.3.500 group of hotfixes.

  Its supported by Windows 7 and 8.

• 4.2.1 patch Set 14732511 - obsolete?

  I decided to patch finally our 4.2.0.00.27 facility APEX with the 4.2.1 group of hotfixes # 14732511
  
  However, on access to this group of hotfixes in MOS it is marked as obsolete and the option to download deleted with no link to another group of patches.
  
  Does anyone know if a new group of patches has been made available? The Group of patches was likely last updated February 6, 2013, when it was rendered obsolete.

  I just checked on My Oracle Support and 4.2.1 APEX group of patches (#14732511) is available and can be downloaded successfully. So I could ask you try to retry the download and let me know how you get on?
