  It is available on metalink. Go to patches & updates and then look for the patch number 7612639 and select it to Oracle Salaris 64 bit.
  The file name is p7612639_10204_Solaris86 - 64.zip.

  I followed metalink note Deployment of JRE (Native plug-ins) for Windows customers in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [393931.1 ID] and he wants to patch 14614795 by the following statement:
  

  Done Oracle 10.1.2.3 or higher with the Patch 14614795 or later (see Document 437878.1 entitled, "upgrade OracleAS g 10 forms and States Oracle E - Business Suite Release 12' for the latest patches available forms ')

  Document 437878.1 calls for patch 14825718 that I installed and it has the following statement:
  

       Note 2: 14825718 patch is the latest patch of bundle of forms which includes the JRE 7 Patch 14614795patch.

  
  

  I do not see 14614795 listed in 14825718 or in lsinventory opatch.

  You do not need to apply the Patch 14614795 and if already applied you will have to roll it before application of the Patch 14825718 (since they conflict with each other)-see Note 1 under the section "step 3.2: install forms Bundle Patch»

  Then, you should be good by not applying Patch 14825718 .

  We are on EBS R12.1.3 and DB 11.2.0.2

  I'm going by Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - April 2015 and there is no mention of database 11.2.0.2 anywhere.

  According to the releases of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i and 12 Critical Patch Update knowledge Document (April 2015) (Doc ID 1986100.1()

  I must apply patch 20406628 who has a meadow of database patch 19393542 . Now this patch is not for 11.2.0.2

  Do I need to apply this patch side of database? I'm a bit confused.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

• Exadata general patching question

  Hello.

  We currently have many 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.3). DBs (CAR & no RAC) running on different platforms RHEL and Solaris.  We have recently acquired both full quarter RACK Exadata X 3 machines.  "Due to limitations, these X3s are no gateways installed to ' auto-patching", then we will do it ourselves.  In the past, we have always exercised quarterly processors (compared to power supply).  Aside from the issue of the PSU against CPU (my management has buy in approach of power supply of 100% - I have already recommended), I have the following question.  With Exadata, I'll still be able to apply only the central units or I have to go immediately to the application of power supplies.  Wqay one or another ask can you still apply just to processors to Exadata (server, storage, etc.)?  Thank you.

  I have only applied patches full bundle and never did a partial correction of the WAD.

  The Readme file that accompanies the patch bundle doesn't explain how to apply the complete bundle as well.

  The concept of engineered systems should have standardized levels of patch on a basic installation of the software for ease of support.

  I fear that Oracle do not offer you the choice in bundle packs.

  If you apply the patch scheduled for IOM IE IOM 11.1.1.5.3 IOM 11.1.1.5.6, do not apply the patch to OAM. OIAm products are certified at the level of version not in level of patches.

  I'll apply the PeopleTools 8.50.18 patch and ran into an issue in the doc of patch. Can I run the Setup program on Windows and Unix? I'm misremembering probably something transfer on installation on windows and do a server under UNIX.
  
  4.1.2 step says to use the license code to install the base DVD PeopleTools. Because I'm not the one who did this, I can get this code in the PSOPTIONS table, or does the product license code?

  You must apply the hotfix to tools to each PS_HOME.

  Server transfer that remember you is probably for the objects of application such as sqr and cobol source code. For current releases, if you applied a patch package, bundle or maintaining applications, these transfers would be done through the wizard to change.

• Datapatch on the new empty container (CBD, exadata 12.1.0.2) database returns the error state of the PDB.

  I created a new CBD CAR empty database on a cluster exadata using an ORACLE_HOME (12.1.0.2) which has been patched with patch latest bundle.

  I ran the datapatch utility to apply these patches to the container before any new APB to a database that is already patched the cloning.

  However, datapatch first correctly identifies adjustments but it fails on a prereq error:

  I had already tried cloning my non - PDB in a PDB here (successfully) file, but then I also met problems with datapatch (in PDB not at CDB patch).  I tried with the options and force database and this succeeded with warnings, but I was unable to open the PDB.  I thought, okay, what oracle says that the whole point of multitenant is to be able to update the plugin, it should be possible to patch a CBD empty.  I can't seem to find much on this point, somebody manage this problem?

  Yes, up to 11.1.1.9.0, you will need to install a new wls House (new wls server admin) and then configure WCC ui there. User interface and COE will not work in the same field. You can have the portal and content under the same House of wls and install a new one for the user interface.

  This is due to a problem with ADF and WCC libraries.

  With 12 c, this dependence is not there, and you can install / configure all 3 (Portal, content and adf ui) applications on the same domain.

• Oracle.ManagedDataAccess and FIPS compliance

  I encountered an error using the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess and Oracle.DataAccess libraries in an ASP.NET MVC application I wrote.  On a Windows Server 2008 R2 server, I would get an ORA-01017: Invalid UserName and Password.  After some research and assistance online, I discovered that the cause of this error is that the run meets the FIPS policy setting has been enabled.  Disabling this setting allowed me to recover data from the Oracle database.

  Host us our server on a Government website and they need, we have this setting turned on.

  Some users have determined that the Oracle client encrypts the password that is sent to the database and that the encryption method used is AES.  According to them, this method of encryption is in conflict with the FIPS policy setting and generates the above error.  I can't find documentation that specifies that AES is used to encrypt the password, so I take this 'fact' at face value.

  Has anyone solves the problem where they apply the FIPS policy setting and connect to the database?  I know that some people have recommended adding the element of the web.config file enforceFIPSPolicy.  I found that this does not work in a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment (at least for me) and is not desirable because the application would not be in accordance with our security requirements.

  There was a bug (17322941) earlier Oracle DB and versions ODP.NET managed, which has since been corrected. To use FIPS requires at least managed upgrade ODP.NET 12.1.0.2 AND Oracle DB 12.1.0.2.

  Update August 2015:

  Oracle DB 11.2.0.4 can be corrected to ODP.NET managed with FIPS support. See Bug 17551699 for minimum patch set/bundle up to date. Or you can just use the latest patch on top of DB 11.2.0.4 to be supported.

• A weird exception in 12 c (ORA-01461: can bind to a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column)

  I have a Windows application that accesses a database of 12 c Oracle via ODBC (driver version is 12.01.00.01).

  I have a table with a column of key named REGION_ID (NVARCHAR2 (9)) and a dozen other columns, of which three are named region1 and region.2 elle3, all of type NVARCHAR2 (40).

  When I try to insert a string in the scope of the region1 is longer than 9 characters (length of REGION_ID), I get an error ORA-01461 (' can bind to a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column). If I set the length of REGION_ID be NVARCHAR2 (15), so I can add channels to the region1 in length up to 15 field until I get ORA-01461 exception again. Curiously, if I change the name of column region1 to REGIONONE, I don't get any errors, and everything works fine. It's almost as if the column name region1 is being confused with REGION_ID backstage.

  Any ideas? I am using SQLBindParameter to bind the columns, and all calls are successful. I get the exception when I run the insert statement. This same code worked for previous versions of Oracle (9i, 10g and 11g). And if I use a driver of client 11g against the 12 c server, I do not receive the exception.

  It is a component of ODBC driver bug in 12 c and it is fixed. You can download and install the fix for bug 18232462 or the last window for 12 c patch cumulative/bundle.

• Problem of management of cases in BPM 11.1.1.7

  Hi all

  Can someone help here? I have a problem trying to start a business for the simple case management sample. I was able to successfully configure the environment but could not run a case of single use due to the following exception when starting a business:

  I installed 11.1.1.7 JDeveloper containing a 10.3.5 WebLogic Server and I installed the SOA/BPM Suite 11.1.1.7. I've added the following patches on top of this facility:

  1 patch SOA Bundle # 18072286 for Oracle SOA, common houses Oracle OPatch utility.

  2 15995111 patch: SU Patch [QD3C]: TRACKING BUG TO QUESTION WLS PATCH FOR BUG 14642695 FOR 10.3.5.0.0 using Smart Update tool.

  3 14526899 patch: SU Patch [GJP7]: TRACKING BUG TO QUESTION WLS PATCH FOR 14306399 BUG using Smart Update tool.

  And I changed the JDK 1.6 update 24 (which was delivered with Jdeveloper + weblogic package) and JDK 1.7 update 25.

  Even when I create the demo of simple case management with a couple of process BPM having human task, the set of rules that an activity when a certain activity case is filled, it does not work. I see in the EM console its impossible to initialize the case management component, which is to launch javax.xml.bind.JAXBException.

  Please let me know if there is something missing to run the example of case management. Quick response to this post would be greatly appreciated!

  1. it is recommended to use WLS 10.3.6 BPM 11.1.1.7.x

  ACM requires BPM 11.1.1.7.3 (fix 18072286) and two WLS 10.3.6 patches: 14526899 (GJP7) and 14791221 (HLJ3)

  2. the KM 1572861.1 Note mentions a very similar problem. The solution is to apply the WLS 10.3.6 patch for bug 17190939 (HQM5)

• Oblix_OBWebGate_AuthnAndAuthz:... - cannot read the log configuration file.

  Hi all

  I have a painful problem with Oracle 10 g Webgate. I use Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_linux64_APACHE22_WebGate to procted resource Apache. I have a custom authentication plugin problem. is not yet resolved (https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2549716).

  Now I apply patch BP9 for Webgate (Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_BP09_Patch_linux64_APACHE22_WebGate), now I have a new problem, I am unable to get the OAM login page when trying to access my resources to Apache.

  The Error Message in the browser is:

  Internal server error

  The server has encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to respond to your request.

  Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

  More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
