Pause and restart 'Import '.

I'm trying to leave ACDSee for Lightroom and beginning to wonder if it's a huge mistake.

I installed Lightroom 3.2 Saturday and this morning I started to import my image files.

10:00 open lightroom and towards the Parent image file (contains 96 000 images)

He finished see all images to import a little after 11:30...

I immediately started the import process and it is now 16:45 and Lightroom has imported only 43 000 images...

ACDSee has no import process, it considers only the image files, what makes Lightroom?  I'm looking at another 6 + hours of Lightroom import at this rate.

Can I stop the import process and restart right where I left?

Very frustrated.

David

Can I stop the import process and restart right where I left?

Yes, you can. Close Lightroom.

Next time you start, goto your parent folder, right click and select "Synchronize" import the rest. Tip: Uncheck the box to 'See the import dialog box' to synchronize to avoid another waiting 1.5 hours for importation to collect your new files.

ACDSee has no import process, it considers only the image files, what makes Lightroom?

To do this, unless you tell him not to. It does this automatically on the fly when he sees a new file.

Very frustrated

But you are not importing 96 k everyday images, do you think? I wonder how long will it take ACDSee to harvest metadata from the images of k 96.

    Hello

As much as I understand your message, you must stop sending data to the chart, and then restart it.

You can do this in several ways.

The first obvious option is to add a case for the random generation structure and the conection to the table. Conect a button to the case which will define whether or not the new values are added to the chart.

This way your loop will not stop an iteration, you just check whether you send values to the table.

If you really want to stop the loop iteration, you can for example add another while loop in a structure of matter within it, so that when you press the button while you enter the second loop and keep only one iteration of the main loop when you stop the second loop.

I have LV6.1 installed, so I've attached 2 jpg to show you what I mean.

Continue to play with this stuff, things will become clear with time...

    It will be useful,

  • FF ver 11.0; I have a download in the download window that is stuck on Pause and cannot get rid of it.

Downloading Sumatra PDF reader, I clicked on Pause. When you work on something else, my PC has restarted (WinXP). The download window continues to show download paused and I can't restart the download or cancel it. I can ignore it, of course, and will continue to do so if there is no easy solution.

Try to delete the downloads.sqlite (and downloads.rdf, if it exists) in the profile folder , the files will be regenerated when needed.

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.

Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

If looking for updates to hang on a current installation,

Switch your windows update setting to never check the updates temporarily

    Restart the machine

Then you download this from your download folder run from there.

    Hello world.

I'm having currently a problem each time I try to shut down or restart my laptop. I have the following message:

Windows cannot close it, and I'm finally started on the desktop, but with all my applications closed and even some features of pilot missing (for example multitouch). • Freezes and restarts on 2015 5K running El Capitan iMac and am ready to freak me out

    Hi guys,.

If I posted my check and reports being panic, could someone tell me what caused random freezes and restarts on my iMac 5 K - ish, El Capitan running? I am a designer/Retoucher and I am in the middle of a big job, of course.

He went on and off for a few months. I have cleared my startup disk and played fresh OS installs (didn't even use Migration Assistant just to be safe), three times. I installed apps one at a time try to refine what is the cause but could not.

At first I thought it was my mouse Logitech G502 because when I went to an old mouse for a few weeks the problem has disappeared. But yesterday, listening to iTunes via Airplay and working in InDesign, the system froze again.

I wonder if she might be SoftRAID(4) and/or my two RAIDs of 4 external ThunderBay?

    Thanks in advance!

    Steve

We can take a stab, please publish a report full of EtreCheck, and if we do not see everything that you can post your last report KP.

  • (Bootcamp) Windows 10 becomes black and restarts on bootcamp

After installation of Windows 10 on bootcamp and navigation just normally as any other people would, after 10-15 minutes my screen suddenly goes black and restarts...

While it has been restarted, blue "windows" sautéed as usual and points to bicycle in a circle turns on for a few seconds and then it crashes, restarts again...

At this point I keep restarting and then it comes to auto repair, that I then used Safe Mode to get in which worked but I could not do much with it because she persisted again after the reboot.

Side note: I reinstalled windows bootcamp 10 a bunch of time trying to solve every single problem, why it worked... even searching it up on top of google... Still no hope...

    Help, please!

    Data sheet:

iMac (21.5 inch, at the end of 2013)

    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

    Intel Pro Iris 1536 MB

    El Capitan 10.11.5 running (15F34)

    Thank you

Please see 10 crashing Windows, but don't know why. The question is usually associated with Windows Installer an invalid Intel GPU driver.

  • iMac crashing and restarting on its own

    Hi all

My iMac has been crashing lately and restart on its own. After trying to solve what was going on, I noticed that, just before these accidents occur, the following 2 warnings repeatedly appear on the Console:

kernel [0]: could not open the file 2

    kernel [0]: vm_swap_create_file @ 1554 dry failure

During the inspection, I realized that the var, there is no /vm folder and, therefore, no swap file, that made me suspect that the problem is related to virtual memory.

I tried to launch an intensive application of memory while monitoring the use of memory through Activity Monitor and, of course, when all memory is used, the system crashes. Used swap shows 0 bytes at all times. In comparison, my MacBook Air has always a certain amount of used Swap data, even if some memory is used.

I tried to verify if the virtual memory was somehow disabled, by using 'sudo launchctl load-w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist' but it seems that the service is already loaded.

I'm at a loss and need help. Someone at - it clues about what is happening?
