Pavilion 14-n061tx: fact HP Pavilion 14-n061/59 / 60tx a mSATA?

Hey guys,.

I want to improve my HP Pavilion 14-n061tx with a new SSD and more RAM. The problem that I am facing is if the motherboard of my laptop has an mSATA slot or not. I can't find information online about it.

I have another solution to use an adapter to install the player rather than the optical drive, but it will destroy the look of it. An mSATA with Windows on it and the original HDD for data, this is what I want.

And if she has an mSATA port, allows priming him as well or not since most laptops can not boot from mSATA because its used only for cache purposes. Thank you for your support.

Yes, we have a sticky for this post:

  • HP Pavilion DM4 - 3002TX Beats Edition supports mSata SSD 128 GB?

    Hello

I want to install a SSD 128 GB mSata in my HP Pavilion DM4 with 1 TB of HDD.

I already read the document "HP Pavilion dm4 Entertainment PC Maintenance and Service Guide"

It is said 'Supports a 32 GB mSATA SSD' and «a 20 GB mSATA SSD»

and when I read on combination mSata SSD with HDD.

"Support either a 750 GB, 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm hard drive + 20 GB mSATA SSD drive
configuration combination or a 500 GB, hard drive 7200 RPM, 9.5 mm + 20 GB mSATA solidstate
    combination drive configuration "

the document does not mix with 1 TB HARD drive.

The laptop supports SSDS this size and combination with 1 TB of HARD drive?

    Thank you

Yes it supports. See page 44 of this manual:

    Repair manuals

Check the service bay to be sure, you have the slot depicted on page 44.

The usefulness of the drive cache mSATA also depends on how much RAM you have, but I guess you have the 4 original concerts or at least no more than 8. Buy a 32 gig WSSD and install it. Restart the computer and let Windows load a driver. Now open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Console. Go to the performance tab and activate the acceleration. You will be able to choose how many the mSATA to use for acceleration and you can so use it all because that anything left over will not do much good. Restart once or twice to leave the files to migrate the mSATA reader, you should notice a lot, a lot more quick time startup and better performance in general. There is no other practical use for the reader of the WSSD as an accelration cache. It is not really possible to use it as a boot drive, but install the accelerator cache is well worth.

Where do you live? All over the country. We can help you find the drive of the WSSD.

  • Pavilion 22-H010EL: need to replace the cable SATA in my AIO, can't find the right

Hi all, I have a problem with my 22-H010EL AIO HP Pavilion TouchSmart.

The hard drive broke twice while PC was covered by the warranty; now the warranty period is over, and the hard drive broke again. I guess that there is a power supply problem, in fact I see the hard drive has boots more than I actually received; Sometimes I hear a sound of boot clearly while the PC is on (and I'm sure that's not because of the stand by, because it happens while I use it). Also, just after the first replacement of hard disk, it showed 7 boots upward in an hour; I guess the power/SATA cable is damaged, the origin of the problem described, but it could be the motherboard, too.
I would like to replace the cable to see if it works, I really hope he does it; Thanks in advance for any response.

HP Pavilion p6520y Desktop on Windows 7 Home Premium

Error MESSAGE: "DO NOT CONNECTED - NO CONNECTION IS AVAILABLE" (from the tray icon of wireless with X red network connection).

No changes to the system, in fact, it's brand new. I just want to use my built-in 802.11n Wireless LAN Card to connect to a network including all other PCs (laptops and desktop computers) can see.

I tried a lot of things: toggle, adapter, adapter to uninstall/install, driver update (RT3090), PC restore/recovery, reset the router, change the configuration of the card (e.g., power management), all no. AVAIL.

There is a port of type mini co - ax at the back of the tower for an ANTENNA which came with the PC. However, I think that the internal card could still detect a signal from 20 ft away without antenna. Isn't it?

    PROBLEM SOLVED:

Of course, the last thing I mentioned was the cause. I have set up the office within inches of the wireless router and a signal (albeit low) was detected.

So I guess the fixing of an antenna (which should have with my PC) will improve the signal reception when the office is further away (say 20 ft, or more). already checked radio shack with no luck.

In any case, at least, I know what the problem is. Hope this helps someone in a similar scenario... See you soon...

  • Slow performance HP Pavilion laptop problems

Very recently, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion. It has Windows 8 and arrived in the mail, no more than a week ago. The first thing I did after that the mandatory installation process was to restore the files from my old laptop (which broke) via ClickFree (currently I have 625 677 GB free) and once that was completed, I installed several programs (office, Vipre, Photoshop, etc.). Apart from that, I did very little about the real hard disk of the computer, since I save everything externally on my ClickFree.

My problems started occurring rather suddenly, Wednesday morning. In Firefox, I opened a tab for go on Facebook, and scroll the RSS seemed pretty gloomy. I closed the tab, but the slow pace continued in the other tabs, I had opened and then spread to the programs not involving is not the Internet. These problems have worsened gradually.

On the Internet, the performance is particularly slow. I gave up video players like Netflix, because they freeze the browser to the point of crashing. Page loading is very delayed, even typing this message experiences freeze, despite the fact that I have nothing else running in the browser. There is warning of frequent messages in scripts and plugins does not (although, ironically, these messages are often unresponsive until I finish the script or the offending plugin). It is difficult to do anything on the Internet, such as the loading of pages and tabs of switching may take several minutes. Just clicking can cause the browser to freeze for minutes at a time.

Off the Internet, programs load extremely slowly, often freezing. Opening files sometimes, with an increase in frequency, translates into a green loading bar at the top of the screen. Sometimes this bar gets stuck and cannot finish, and I can't access the contents of the file; This happened when I tried to open the Panel, to get more specific information about the computer to include in this message. Sometimes programs, such as video players, open without actually playing the video file, or they open at all. Often these programs freeze and sometimes hang; the desktop and the Explorer bar at the bottom of the screen (with the start menu, etc.) are not likely to freeze or disappear, for varying degrees of time. When I came to the computer, CPU utilization averaged about 4-6%, but now he's averaging 40 to 60%.

Start the computer became too long and hard. The last time that I restarted, I entered my password only to get a completely black screen for at least half an hour; My office and the icons have appeared when I pressed Ctrl-alt-delete. After that, I stopped to turn off the computer (it was not a long time ago). This morning, I opened the laptop to connect, but received only a "Please wait" while the computer has tried to load the login page. It took 10-15 minutes, and then I was finally able to enter my password.

These issues are getting worse, and I'm sure I'm forgetting several, but I think that what I've included enough to illustrate my problem. This is a new laptop, but it works almost as bad as my old laptop, which became unusable recently and had to be replaced with this one. I can't imagine what is the cause, but I really wish she was fixed. I installed a program called Fix - It Utilities (the installation disk supplied with the notebook) to try to improve the performance of the laptop, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ValentineKills. I understand that the computer is slow. I will do my best to help you!

This can be caused by a hardware failure or a software/driver/virus conflict. However, we won't know until the diagnosis is made.

I'll provide a few official documents that provide information on how to speed up the computer. I want that you follow all the steps in all documents. In this way, if the problem exists, it will restrict the root cause. Here are the documents that I want you to try:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2746761

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03460887

Since you're under Windows 8, I have a further suggestion: complete all updates to Windows, and then upgrade the computer to Windows 8.1. While the operating system is upgraded, try to use the computer and see if the speed is any different.

Please reply when you have finished troubleshooting. I'm only here to help!

  • HP Pavilion 17-e119wm: reinstall Windows 10 operating system after replacing the hard drive

Hello, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion year last for work or school. He perfectly managed until yesterday when it was freezing to close unexpectedly. Waited about half an hour to see if it would work himself, I had several programs running at the same time. With no results, I did a hard shut down and left for about two hours. Trying to turn it back on, I was stuck on the HP Home screen for almost an hour. I turned off the and tried again. Sometimes I would be stuck on the startup screen, and sometimes he would show that he was about to auto repair, then the screen turns off. In addition, the recovery menu of the system through the F11 key did not work, so I did a Quick Test of system and received a short Drive DST hard failure.

I plan to buy a replacement HGST 5 K 1000 1 TB hard Drive from the manufacturer; However, my warranty expired last month, and I'm not sure how to reinstall the OS (installed with Windows 8.1 then upgraded to Windows 10 factory), once the new hard drive in place.

I've never done a HP system recovery Image, and I'm low on funds, so I'm not able to contact HP directly. Help, please. I am a student and I work from home, so I am at a loss without my system.

If you want to reinstall Windows 10, then this is the part the more easy and free.  I understand, completed after the upgrade to Windows 10, then you can clean install Windows 10 site M$.

On a work computer, go to the WINDOWS 10 DOWNLOAD, scroll down to the purple 'Download tool now 64 Bit' click that to let do its thing.  On the next screen, choose 'Create the installation media for another PC', then what kind of media you want to use DVD or USB flash.  Once created, install Windows 10 on the PC in question - when everything that fact it is activated.

  • Pavilion dv6-2155dx: need to fix the card wifi for dv6-2155dx

Hey guys. I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6-2155dx with a Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 wifi card. The card was to die for a long time now and about to go off completely. All other PCs and phones connect properly to the internet here, except that this laptop connects, but drops to around every 15 minutes, limited connectivity or so and I have to turn off the wifi and then turn it back on to operate for another 15 minutes. Its incredibly annoying and I need help to make sure that I have buy the correct replacement so that it will work. Here is the info I have:

    HP Pavilion dv6-2155 x
    No. WA781UA #ABA

Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 wifi card
    Running Windows 7 64-bit OS
All the drivers are up to date, the computer is free of viruses, spyware, etc.

Basically, I need to know if there is a model specific card Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 that came with this laptop that I need order. I've seen several different of these cards for sale online, but they have all the different numbers and I just need maybe a link or something to show me the exact replacement I need.

Thank you very much for your time and help!

    Yes, you need this one

    https://www.Amazon.com/Intel-5100-512AN_HMW-wireless-572507-001/DP/B00O0GG1L2

The maintenance manual does not list a Centrino Wireless - N 1000 card. You must not only the correct chip, but he must have a part number of HP. Probably your card has this number on it, on a label or on the label that the number of "SPS" and it will be 6 numbers and a dashboard and then three other number 001 usually.

The 5100 card is dual-band 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz so is in fact a better map and will work.

    Post back with more questions.

  • Pavilion 6610f: what is my validation key number OS

Computer HP Desktop Pavilion 6610f 64 bit OS Win 7 Home Premium Wireless and Ethernet connection of the power cord

Bought more than 6 years ago.  Win 7 operating system came preloaded.  It's the same operating system that I used all this time, but for some reason any Microsoft began to harass me on my Windows operating system is not not authentic.

I tried to do what they ask, but their validation programs do not seem to work for me, and today I finally got a message saying that my OS 'key validation number' is incorrect.

Since I had the same during all this time, I do not know where to look to find the key number, or why it would be somehow fake when it was fine for 6 years.  I don't have any distribution, freeze ups or repairs done to my PC.

I thought it could have been a damn update so I did a system restore and removed the last update, but that did not help.

I think it has something to do with the fact that Microsoft pushed I wish put online their OS 'FREE' Windows 10, which I refused to do, several times and even spoke at their tech support on the phone about it and asked them to remove from my system so that I would not continue to see their incessant icon push me to download. It was a year and half ago and it has been in my bar since!

Why push so hard and for free?  I heard negative things about the operating system and I won't.  I am very happy with the one I have.  I'm getting very suspicious of their motives.

Can someone help me with my operating system validation key or if anyone has had a similar problem and the resoved, can you pass this information to me that I get very bored with this company?

I spent far too much time and energy trying to their housing for something that is obviously THEIR mistake.  I contacted the MS Forum community as well and had a lot of answers that I did as they suggested every time and it is still not resolved!

Thanks in advance for your time.

Your computer has two keys of Microsoft Windows PID associated with it. One that is on the hard drive and the support of HP recovery, if you create your HP recovery media. And the other which is on the Microsoft COA sticker on the side of your computer.

The key that is on the drive hard on and the recovery media is a SLP (System locked preinstallation) activation code, SLP mass this key must be associated with a valid BIOS SLIC2.1 and a valid certificate of corresponding SLP to automatically activate Windows 7. If one of these three elements is corrupted, it is possible that the computer can it lose of the activation status. This can normally be corrected by returning computer to a factory state using the HP recovery.

If the above sounds like too much work, may use the key OEM HP of the COA Microsoft sticker activate you the current installation of Windows 7.
