Pavilion 15 e008-sc: dedicated graphics card update

Hi one just want to ask if possible to modify and update a dedicated graphics card?

AMD Radeon HD m 8670 is dedicated to my laptop inside. I want to update this to little graphics card more powerful. I don't want to buy a new machine. It is possible on this type of material.

If so, that will be good? I can put here nvidia or amd graphics chip, it must be?

CPU: Intel i5 - 3rd generation 3230 m 2, 6 ghz

RAM: 8 GB

I think that the processor and RAM are kind a good but the power of the graphics card is somehow a hollow. Thanks for the reply

Hello

Unfortunately, the Radeon HD m 8670 is integrated with the system board and is not an evolutionary element - this is the case for virtually all mobile phones as a consumer.

Kind regards

To be honest, it won't be easy to solve your problem. Why?
Many people who have mobile machines the same logic valid for desktop computers. Exchange upgrade or hardware components on mobile units is very limited and you can simply swap the GPU or change the BIOS settings.

If the GPU is faulty in many cases entire motherboard must be replaced. I don't know what other people will write here, but what you can do is contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help or advice what can be done about it.

  • dedicated graphics card problem

    Hi all!

I have a HP probook 4530 s and after 2 years of using the dedicated graphics card (ATI Radeon 7470) seems to have a problem. I was playing my game, which is a flash game based on chrome and suddenly the screen frozened. I use by default the ATI graphics card because the system supports switchable graphics. So, after this screen frozen, I turned off my laptop and after I turned once again he doesn't want to go through the screen of windows welcome. I went into safe mode, disabeled ati graphics card and after I restarted again, I could get properly into windows. A funny thing is that after that, I reinstalled windows and the first thing is to install the graphics driver. After clicking on restart my laptop frozened again in the Welcome to windows screen.

Can anyone help me please with this problem?

    Thank you in advance.

Try from the BIOS, there is something that you can uncheck it from the BIOS and it will work exclusively on the second card, of the processor.

The thing is that I found the problem and it is verry annoing. I disassembled my laptop to renew the theat conductor paste and I saw that the old spent was melted by the heat by the graphics card and drained on certain components close to, and I know that this dough is a conductor of electricity now so bye bye dedicated graphics card.

The graphics are a serious difference... the comparison here is.  560ti vs the 760 and both are 170W.

  • HP Pavilion 222ur-550 T1H38EA: graphics card update

    Hello!

I recently bought a HP Pavilion 550 - 222ur and found out that the default graphics card (GeForce GT 730) is less efficient in most of the games. So I want to get a more powerful (thought mini GeForce GTX 750 Ti or Asus GeForce GTX 950). While researching the possibility of upgrade, I discovered that some graphics cards may not work on the PC of HP brand due to a BIOS issue. So the question is: will be mentioned in this workstation graphics cards? And if these cards are compatible, I'll have to get better food, as well, no? Thanks in advance.

    @Rilarn

    # You can improve it.

The ASUS GEFORCE® GTX 950 Mini would be a good candidate for the upgrade.  You can use cards PCIe x 16 UEFI based because your PC is post 2012. It doesn't have a legacy BIOS.  You should disable the start safe in the BIOS feature.

You can update the graphics card and the power supply end up with a decent gaming machine, if that is your goal.

Be aware that it will not compete with machines that are DIY built by amateurs or games machines made by the best companies of PC.

so, I check the connection on the graphics card. I have a card GEForce 530

I went and bought a new 400Watts power supply to support a GEForce GT 740 and the computer emits a beep ounces and nothing, black screens

then I tried with one monitor and remains black, I can't start in safe mode it does not give me the options that the specifications and nothing else.

I even clear the RAM memory cards, clear the CMOS and disconnected and plugged the card back just in case.

    nothing

I return to my old card and it works fine but only one monitor, I need two monitors to work.

any suggestions or if you know if this model does not support a map update?

I did some research already for a few days.

Check with the manufacturer of the card. I suspect that it is a map of UEFI VBIOS, not inherited.  Your system does not support inheritance. An explanation of @old_geekster can be found here.

I need to update the graphics card for my HP the a320n desktop. I need to know about how to proceed and how much it will cost me... and should I even bother? This old compy me has served well with not a glitch during the last 7 years or so, but now, it is flat refusing to run games like Second Life. It's a Nvidia GeForce 4 MX integrated GPU. Is there a way to improve this?

    Here are some generic instructions:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00007413

... The choice is yours. You should be able to find much better used or old-stock 8 x AGP card for anywhere from $30 to $150: example... http://www.TigerDirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CATID=318 & SRCCODE = WEBGOOVID & cm_mmc_o = mH4CjC7BBTkwCjCECjCEL

Memory must be inexpensive as well and can also help a lot. The thing is, if you think you can buy a new computer from an OEM, like HP, for about the same price... So, I leave to you to determine if XP is more reliable than vista or not. But more new games will be compatible with Vista... (or Win7).

  • Pavilion dv6-2155dx: graphics card update

After taking my laptop in a repair store (to explore a possible faulty HDD), they have installed Windows 7 Ultimate (originally I had window 7 Home Premium 64-bit).

Now, I'm running in the error messages on the charts during the installation of games or even playing preloaded games like Solitaire - especially on the accelerator and 3D.

Device Manager says I "Standard VGA adapter".   When I go to the screen resolution > advanced settings, tab troubleshooting shows acceleration to the maximum end of the scale.   Chiptype BTW: Intel Ironlake Mobile 8 8-bit.

The original sticker on the laptop says that it was preloaded with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD.    When I go to Intel, they have drivers GMA by download, but suggest using pilots of specific manufacturers.  When I check for the drivers to support. HP.com they show two graphic drivers for this laptop, NVIDIA and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (no series #)

I downloaded and installed the version of HP Intel GMA.  Upon restarting, I got a black screen of death after Windows Welcome.   I rebooted in Mode safe mode and restored to an earlier point, so I'm back where I started with the Standard VGA adapter.  (actually tried this twice, same results)

Is the Intel GMA at HP correct it / compatible with the download version?

Do I need to uninstall the VGA Standard before installing the GMA?

Also I notice problems with control of the mouse and the slider: he is nervous and seems to be a hair trigger.  Maybe this related to problems of graphics card?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there @vpbob,

    Thank you for your answer!

At this point, I would like to start by hardware testing to ensure that the graphics card and the hard drive working properly. If there is no hardware failures than to move on to other steps. If there are questions and missing then it is material that needs to be replaced.

I look online to see if there was anything I could miss out there on the Internet for troubleshooting. I found a forum on the Microsoft Web site that can some assistance.

You can try a factory restore partition, but it may not work. The partition is perhaps already damaged because operating systems have already been switched back. You can order the recovery media and use instead.

Another problem could be that the drivers from the HP website are not installed on your laptop.

When you go into the Device Manager is there one or two graphics drivers?

Do you see unknown devices in Device Manager?

Even if you had taken to repair already and you still experience problems, you can always take the laptop back their and give them all the drivers in the computer correctly for you.
