Hello

Please help me

Hi @MA88,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 - n240ee and issues with the power settings when the lid is closed. Here is a linkthat shows you how to activate the away mode. It allows your computer to continue tasks, such as recording TV shows or sharing of videos and music, even if you're away from the computer. Specifically, when the computer is in Away mode.

Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you.

    Hello world

I can't find the Wifi driver for my system and get some annoying drivers in the Device Manager window.  . Help me and provide me with the details of the correct driver.

    Hello:

You already have all the drivers except the wireless card, depending on your screenshot.

The hardware ID you posted confirms that the wireless card is the Broadcom adapter, so I don't know why this driver did not work.

Try to manually install the driver Broadcom I posted above (sp57965).

Go to Device Manager and click on the network controller needing drivers.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp57965.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

As you can see from this partial copy and paste of the installation of the driver information file, the hardware ID for the wireless card you have in your laptop is supported by this driver.

  • HP Pavilion G6 - no WiFi Signal - problem "Broadcom 4313GN.

    Hello

My laptop (HP Pavilion G6, PN: QG846EAR #ABU) with Windows 7 Home Edition is to have through its WiFi connectivity problems. The WiFi hardware is recognized as "Broadcom 4313GN 1 x 1 adapter Wi - Fi 802.11b/g/n" by the Manager of devices but it cannot detect all autour WiFi signals. I tried deactivating and activating it by FN - F12. This action works, but does not affect the situation. Initially it was the driver version 5.100.82.82 as of the 20.05.2011.

I found two new updated driver from Broadcom and HP sites, but none worked. (ver: 5.100.82.95 - date: 1.4.09 and worm: 5.100.82.139 - date8.5.2012)

I restored default Windows 7 Home but this does not work either.

I started with Fedora and Knoppix live CD but none managed to see any signal, even if the two detected the correct WiFi hardware.

I have checked and then changed the values in the BIOS by default, but this did not help.

When a WiFi USB is plugged in, the PC works fine.

Under the battery, the WiFi device is referred to as "bcm94313hmgb".

    Any idea?

    Say hello to new mscag.

Thus, one of the sons is not connected?  It's probably the cause of your problem.  Take a look at your notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide.  Specifically, look at page 54, which deals with the removal of the WLAN card.  He says that there should be two wires to disconnect (main and auxiliary antennas).

I can't say very much in the picture, but it seems that you should be able to reconnect the loose wire.  I suggest this thread connected and if this does not resolve the issue I would then contact HP support.

HP to support an appeal to the United States / Canada you can call to the 1-800-474-6836.  If you are in another part of the world, you visit HP's Support around the world to find the coordinates for your region.

Let me know if plug this cable solves your problem.  Have a great rest of the day!

    Hello

Last March, I bought a Hp Pavilion n211dx-15 and 9 months after I bought it, I had some problems with the RAM because of my eletricity, but I already bought a new pair of ram sticks. I tried to do the system recovery Image minimized by myself because I didn't know it was a problem of ram, in the middle of the installation, the computer froze and the pixels have been going nuts. In any case, when I had the fixed ram, I started the computer and I saw that I had altogether 90 GB of HARD disk space (it comes with a 750 GB HARD drive), the windows installation is fine and all, but my HDD shows that 90GB total and the computer comes with a 750 GB HARD drive , I do not have what to do (if I have to install stuff and HARD drive drivers).

    Hello

Please post the ID number of device here is how you can find.

In the Device Manager menu, regardless of the way you have to, find the driver that is missing (no yellow question mark).

-Right-click on it and select "Properties".

-In the Properties menu, click on the tab "Details".

-In the Details tab, click the menu drop down and select "Device Id".

-When you have this submenu opened below, you should see one sentence that contains a couple of things you need.
-C' is what it would look like for example:
-PCI\VEN_10DE & DEV_03D1 & SUBSYS_14041565 & REV_A2 (could be a couple extra rows with some similar stuff, but the main things you need are the FRI and DEV).

  • Pavilion p7 - 1108p wifi adapter problem (running 8.1 Win)

Expanded and published, the lack of resolution...

Pavilion p7 - 1108p, running Windows 8.1.   Adapter Wi - Fi keeps releasing sporadically and without apparent reason.  I opened the network and sharing Center, and under active networks, click connections, and then click diagnose.  It resets the adapter and all is well.  I have two other computers and a tablet on this network, and none of them has this problem.  Please advise what the question might be: I have something set wrong?  Do I have a hardware problem?

More info: when I use the troubleshooting tool to diagnose and reset the network card, I get 1 of 2 messages.  It's either.

    "" Wi - Fi"is not a valid IP configuration",

or a message to both parties,

    "The connection between your access point, router, or model of cable and the Internet is broken. ” ;

"The default gateway is not available "

Please advise as soon as possible, because it is critical for having us this machine on-line 24/7. Thank you!

    You are the very welcome.

If you have the problem fixed in a hurry, I'd consider having a network adapter wireless usb external of your choice.

I use the Linksys AE3000 adapter dual band usb wireless with my HP 8200 Elite CMT on W8.1 64 bit and it worked without problem for months.

It works great using the drivers W7 that accompanies it.

Otherwise, you will have to wait for who knows how long for Mediatek fix the driver.

You can disable the card in the Device Manager or physically remove it from its support if you want to add a usb wireless network adapter.

Some of the reviewers said it did not work with W8/8.1, and some have fact.

All I can say is that I had no problem to use drivers W7 supplied on mine.

  • WiFi driver problem

I have a laptop Y50 in a few days and I noticed that when I install the drivers for the wifi from the cd provided with the computer WiFi works well but with maximum 72 Mbit connection. When I choose windows to search for drivers more recent it installs latest, the connection goes to 150 Mbps, which is the maximum of my router but with limited connectivity and does not work. I chose to roll back the driver, wifi still works well, but back to 72 Mbps. I tried the drivers from the support section Lenovo that the same problem occurs. I tried the drivers of Intel support page but with the same results. Everything works fine with 72 Mbit connection I get with the old drivers, but I'd really like to do repair and use the full potential of your PC.

I managed to figure out what was the problem after all, and he was not with the drivers. I use a router Tp-link model 740N stretching on 2.4 Ghz frequency. When I install the latest drivers for the card wi - fi adapter default setting is set to work on 2.4 5.4 Ghz mode or auto. This setting prevents the laptop to connect successfully with the router. I changed it to prefer the 2.4 Ghz band on which my router transmits and the wi - fi on the laptop got working with the maximum 150 Mbps connection between the laptop and the router. So far, works very well.

  • HP Pavilion 17-e020sf LAN driver problem

    Hello

I have a problem with my HP Pavilion e020sf 17. I installed windows 7 and when I try Driver from Realtek to controller network (sp55979.exe) I get the message

' The RealTek network adapter/controller was not found.
If the active deep sleep Mode please connect the cable"

I did some research to solve this problem and I tried to remove the battery, remove the ram to reset the motherboard and put it back but nothing works.

I discovered that in the configuration of the bios, the local network connection must be enabled. But I can't find the option in the BIOS (version F08) because I read it was in the Advanced menu settings which I did not. I tried to find a bios update to get this option but did not find a compatible with W7 and my notebook.

Can you please help me with this problem?

You are the very welcome, Julien.

I don't get the thing of ethernet. The ethernet (10EC & DEV_8136) device is present, so that the driver should install.

You have the PC connected to the AC adapter and an ethernet cable plugged into the network port?

If this is not the case, try to install the driver like that.

The other drivers you need are the following: install this first and then try to install the Realtek ethernet card.

The chipset driver install drivers of motherboard (for example the smbus controller). Perhaps because the controller driver SMBus is not installed the ethernet driver cannot be installed.

A rule is always install the driver from the chipset first.  Graphic, and then audio and reboot after each installation of single driver of the 3 above.

  • HP Pavilion tx2117cl Entertainment Notebook - driver problems

We have a tx2117cl, HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook originally shipped with windows Vista 32 bit.  At one point a year or two before, I had a disc of Windows 7 and installed.  Later my husband started having problems with the machine - either by malicious software or something else.  We have a 2nd computer, so I really don't have much with it until last week.  We decided it would be a computer good work at home for 10 years.

I erased the disc using KillDisk and reinstalled Windows 7.  We were not able to access the partition of recovery... that was part of our original problem.

In any case, now... it seems that almost everything works when I look in Device Manager... with the exception of what we call a coprocessor.  Indicates that the driver is not installed and the device does not work.  When we try to play video games crash, the system sometimes stops on us.

In my view, that it is a map of nVidia GeForce 6150 chipset driver.  I tried to install some drivers that have been proposed in other threads forums here, but I always get a message at the start of the installation of nVidia that it is incompatible.  I also tried to run the installation as an administrator and run the program in Vista and XP compatibility mode... same message.

I'm at the point now that I'm almost ready to recovery disks order and clean the disk and restore factory settings.   Can I still use the Win7 OS on another computer.  But I thought that I would try once more to find someone who has an answer that could help me.  Any help would be appreciated.

Also... If I can't find an answer, and I order the recovery disks... I have a question.  The Vista operating system on drives will have a product key included.  We cannot find the discs or the documentation that came with the machine... and he now has the product key Windows 7 low.  We must have pasted on there... on top of the Vista one, and now I can't not to him.  Sigh...

    Thanks in advance!

    Diane

    Hi, Diane:

This should be the driver that you need for the coprocessor.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-56970-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3691981&sw_lang=

You probably also need the video driver because windows installs a generic video driver and you may not notice this isn't the one you need.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-70238-2&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3691981&sw_lang=

If the pilot does not automatically install, you can try to install manually by going to Device Manager, click the display section, click standard VGA card, then click the driver tab.

Click on set to update driver. Select travel it my computer for the software method, navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

    Who will be in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

When you restart, you should have the correct driver installed for the video card.

You should not need the product key when you use Vista HP recovery disks.

  • HP pavilion dv6-3299 GRAPHIC DRIVER PROBLEM HD 6550 M

    Hello

I have problems with the graphics driver on my hp pavilion dv6-3299. I installed windows 8, and it seems that windows will not recognize correctly. Graphics card is Ati mobility radeon 6650M. Sorry for the bad English.

    TNX

    swear

If the driver is not supported by HP, then you can not go to it. The only thing I can think of for you to do is push your graphics chip. Windows 8 is quite recent and the upgrade of the operating system can affect material and it is very glitchy. The alternative, I can arrive at this moment is to do a refresh for your computer. I had to refresh my computer when I upgraded to Windows 8, but I didn't know that it would remove all my drivers for my hardware. If you want to update your computer, make sure you know where to find all the drivers for your hardware on your computer. Your sound card driver can be removed, your graphics driver disappears too and that fixed my problem with my card when I upgraded to Windows 8.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 - 6123cl: HP Pavilion dv6 - 6123cl - USB driver problems

    Hi all

I tried to find a way to solve the problem I encounter without success, so I decided to join this community and hope that someone else came across something similar and has been able to solve.

I have two identical HP notebook computers (HP Pavilion dv6 - 6123cl) and both of these computers have exactly the same problem. After you have reinstalled Windows 7 for some reason any USB ports on the left side of the laptop are not recognized by Windows, leaving me with only 2 USB ports available. I downloaded and installed all the official drivers from the HP site but the problem remains still. Device Manager will not find the drivers and it drives me crazy because all the USB ports on both computers worked very well so far. What am I supposed to do?

Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated.

    You are the very welcome.

Download and install both of these drivers and restart.
