• WiFi driver problem

  I have a laptop Y50 in a few days and I noticed that when I install the drivers for the wifi from the cd provided with the computer WiFi works well but with maximum 72 Mbit connection. When I choose windows to search for drivers more recent it installs latest, the connection goes to 150 Mbps, which is the maximum of my router but with limited connectivity and does not work. I chose to roll back the driver, wifi still works well, but back to 72 Mbps. I tried the drivers from the support section Lenovo that the same problem occurs. I tried the drivers of Intel support page but with the same results. Everything works fine with 72 Mbit connection I get with the old drivers, but I'd really like to do repair and use the full potential of your PC.

  I managed to figure out what was the problem after all, and he was not with the drivers. I use a router Tp-link model 740N stretching on 2.4 Ghz frequency. When I install the latest drivers for the card wi - fi adapter default setting is set to work on 2.4 5.4 Ghz mode or auto. This setting prevents the laptop to connect successfully with the router. I changed it to prefer the 2.4 Ghz band on which my router transmits and the wi - fi on the laptop got working with the maximum 150 Mbps connection between the laptop and the router.   I recently bought a HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p107nz and decided to do an SSD upgrade. Also bought the BX100 Crucial 250 GB, but the computer does not recognize it. When this window where I can manage partitions and choose the convening HDD/SSD (so that the formatting), the right SSD does not appear. When I connect the old HDD in return, it seems everything as usual!

  I actually have enough. I see no solution in short time, once I've tried everything, and the worst thing is, after all, what I tried and time losted in the present, to see that another brand of SSD works fine without problems.  Last night, tried my Crucial SSD in my HP Envy 23-n200np Beats all-in-One special edition, which still had a HARD drive, and everything worked well also.  Decided to do the upgrade for the Crucial SSD, and just ordered another Samsung SSD 850 Evo for my HP laptop. I want to thank very you much, really. Even without visible results (because it's a particular problem) you helped a lot, and I learned new things. Thank you very much a companion. God bless you!

  The SMART error would certainly indicate the hard drive is faulty and should be replaced.  The first thing you can do is to back up all your personal files etc as soon as you can.

  I understand that you updated to Windows 10 a year ago. Last week, you have started to have a problem with the Bluetooth. When I checked the page software and drivers for your laptop, I noticed that Windows 10 is not listed.   Did you run HP Support Assistant to facilitate updates of HP?

  You did all your Windows updates?

  Here is a link to Open the Windows Update troubleshooting tool that can help to find additional drivers.   Although it lists Windows 7 it does not work in Windows 10.

  Once launched, it should show a screen like this.

  

  Use the second "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" option, this should lead to an update of strength of the 'Windows updates' which cannot be automatically applied c ELA could fix some of these issues.

  Have you ran the Windows troubleshooting tool?

  My HP Pavilion Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) product 15-n230us # F5W29UA, has problems with the DVD player.  I went to the Device Manager and found the following error code:

Tought it is relevant because without a special driver that my wifi speed is about 10 MB/s link altouhg speed is 866, 7 Mb/s, I'd be happy with half of the link speed.   It seems that the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.
