Pavilion 15-p077tx: accidentally deleted OS

My operating system and all other files have been removed during the installation of Ubuntu. As you know, p077tx comes 19.ne 8.1 Windows preinstalled. I installed a new Windows of my friend 8.1. I don't have a key with me. How to get a new key? Is the warranty includes free replacement of the operating system? My laptop is barely 5 months old. All of HP's default settings and drivers (including Touchpad and brightness set) have also been lost.

How your friend has the 8.1 Windows installation disc, he or she has he created or is it a disc retail purchased from MS?

I don't have a key with me. How to get a new key?

The key is embedded in the BIOS. No need to do this if you install a version of Windows 8.1, even it was preinstalled. Your license key OEM Windows 8.1 knows automatically detect & work with Windows 8.1 Update Installation ISO using Windows Media creation tool. Option 1 follow this tutorial.

Note: You make INSTALL CLEAN, so additional drivers & software HP have downloaded and copied to a different USB to install after installing the OS.

Is the warranty includes free replacement of the operating system?

You must order directly from HP recovery media.

My laptop is barely 5 months old. All of HP's default settings and drivers (including Touchpad and brightness set) have also been lost.

Put in shape does. Ubuntu installation without creating a set of recovery was your fault, which is what you did once you laptop computer Configuration. This was told to me by HP on assistance for setting up my laptop via telephone

    Hi mraxlee,

I saw your posts and I'll be happy to help you. Here different link to UEFI tools. Try and see if it will install properly for you. This is assuming you are using Windows 7, which is the case or you use another OS?

If you use Windows 7, try the link above and let me know how it goes. You still have the possibility to restore the computer to factory settings using the DavidPK link, which I have also included below.

My mom bought my laptop in the last Kuwait September 2013 and she brought here in the Philippines in October. last night, while I tried to install an update of my bluetooth driver, I met an error which caused my laptop restart and restart continuously. I tried to reset my laptop via the reset option, but it has encountered an error during the process, and the following error that prompted was "boot device not found. Hello:

    Answers...

    1 Yes there is.

You can use all the W7 x 64 drivers and software of this model except the audio.

DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=5278311

Audio: Accept the agreement. Download and install the second on the list (W7 x 64)

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1&PNid=24&PFID=24&level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GETDOWN=false

    2. you can no longer make a W8 recovery disk, because you deleted the recovery partition.

If you want to reinstall W8, you can try this...

Upload this W8 OEM ISO file from the link below.

    https://docs.Google.com/file/d/0B0W9PBigPy94aVJWSndyTFNFMzg/edit?PLI=1

Then use this tool to make the downloaded ISO file on a key USB 4 GB or DVD bootable.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

The W8 product key encrypted in the BIOS should fill the W8 installation and automatically activate.

  • How can I recover an iMovie video after the accidental deletion of iMovie?

    Hi all

I got a file from an old iPhone on my iMovie app and then accidentally deleted the application itself. How can I get the video?

He is not on any backup so I'll need to find it on my Mac.

    Thank you

The file itself should always be on the hard disk.

If you know the name of the file, try to use Spotlight to find it.

Click the magnifying glass icon top right of your screen type the file name.

The basics of the Mac: Spotlight helps you find what you are looking for

If you can't find this file name, try a format iMovie such as DV, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MOV and M4V

Did you delete the Documents folder that is normally found in your folder/Home /? The entrance to the docking station is simply a form of alias created by dragging the real Documents folder icon in the Dock. Is that what you did? • I accidentally deleted my boot partition

I tried to install Windows 10 using Bootcamp but it failed and I had to start. I thought I had deleted the Bootcamp partition, but I accidentally deleted the main boot partition for Mac OS. When I try to start my Mac Apple logo appears for a while, then finally I do not see an entry sign.

In an attempt to solve this problem, I started my Mac upward into recovery mode and reinstalled Mac OS on the partition that I created for the thought of Windows, I would be able to access my files and pass them to the new facility. Mac OS installed fine, but I now have a 800 GB partition, I can't access. He appears in disk utility, but I can not unlock or fix it.

Question is, can I repair the boot partition and to come back to how I was before I screwed up?

Or, is it possible to unlock the main so partition that I can access it from the new installation, back up everything can start all over again?

What do you backup before you start this project?

  • I accidentally deleted the Favorites star, how do I get it back?

I accidentally deleted the star of favorites since the upper right of the screen. I thought I was remove one of the favorites that I had just created. (the small window popped up for me name the new web page, I needed to delete.) I thought I was remove it but the symbol representing a star disappeared instead.

If you have used right click > delete the toolbar, you can use customization feature to locate the icon and bring her back to its previous position. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

If you have removed differently, could hmm, you describe the problem more in detail? In particular, it was a button built-in Firefox or an add-on?

  • I accidentally deleted the iCloud device (my iPad not lost or stolen... but it's very very locked down)

So, I accidentally deleted the iCloud device (but my iPad is not lost or stolen). This all started because I forgot my password and I want to reset the unit. In the process, I have deleted my camera from the iCloud website (stupid self-help sites and my idiocy). in any case, I am about to connect my iPad to iTunes so that I can update and restore my device (which will erase my password and give me a new start... right?) BUT I don't know if I actually restore since, as I said - I deleted icloud . Before I go ahead and update/restore via iTunes, I want someone to confirm or deny or not I'm completely screwed and all my stuff was gone. While I can start crying now rather than later.

    Thanks in advance.
