Pavilion 17-F037cl: laptop motherboard replacement

I got this laptop was given to me by my aunt. I love the look of this laptop, but I do some light games, and I would like to know if it is possible to buy a replacement motherboard for an other motherboards series HP 17 F, as cases seem to all look pretty much the same. The idea behind what some of them have much better form. I googled around for that matter and have not anywhere near an answer. I've already upgraded to 8gig of ram and an SSD and moved my stock HARD drive in the optical drive Bay. These upgrades he accelerated, but being the gfx integrated apu, nothing works with it. So was my thinking just replace the whole motherboard with one who enters my case and has much better features. MY budget is about $ 200 for the motherboard.

$200 won't even touch a whole new motherboard of HP. These recent Pavilion 17 models may look similar, but you must use one of exactly of the same series. Your mobile PC is an AMD A8-6410. The CPU is soldered to the motherboard. The stronger and better compatible motherboard would be:

AMD M260 A10 - 5745M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 4 MB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L, quad core, 25 W) for use with Windows
Standard HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC 763428-501

That would give you a little more fast processor and graphics card.

HP gets $311 for her:

The part is too recent to be available anywhere, but at HP. Maybe 6 months, it will be available on the secondary market, perhaps as low as $200.

  • Pavilion dv6 1110ax motherboard replacement

    Hello

Recently my 1110ax BIOS corrupted and m unable to get by any way mrntioned on the forums.

Key combinations don't work not and this USB STICK.

Now the service center guys say that the motherboard has problem and must be replaced. which I doubt completely.

Is that what someone can say if I can keeping my existing AMD turion processor & card graphics ATI radeon 1 GB to save cost.

And is it possible to upgrade the processor and graphics card.

I had been using this laptop for 5 years now and really don't want to give up on this...

    Receive no response.

You can save the processor and the memory and the hard drive, but the video is part of the motherboard. The processor you have is:

AMD Turion RM-74 2.2 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache

It's the fastest that can be installed:

    AMD Turion™ ZM-87, 2.4 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache

A ZM-87 is about $40 on eBay and I'll tell you that it is not worth it for a ghz upgrade.2.

Radeon 1 GB video is upscale for the dv6-1000 series, so there is no better mother/video card.

    It's the motherboard:

    509450 001

It is a good deal at $78 for the Board of Directors:

    Hello

Yes, this notebook is compatible with the backlit keyboards. This is the manual of your laptop:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02657339.PDF

See the computer section of major components for the right part number and run the part number on ebay. You can also search on ebay for "dv6 backlit keyboard. Backlit keyboards there only for two sets or more.

  • Help! installed new motherboard Pavilion HP G6 laptop and now having battery problems

I have a G6 pavilion with a new motherboard that works very well until I have unplug and he turned off the light on the battery or the power led on the right side next to the power connector remains solid when powerd completely out of what may cause this problem? The battery is also not appearing not but fresh. If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I understand the motherboard was replaced, and now there is a battery problem.

You have already bought a new battery, which seems to exclude from the battery as the source of the problem.

Was it a real or a third party battery?

What was the initial question that lead to the replacement of the motherboard?

The replacement motherboard came with a guarantee?  To be honest, it sounds like a problem with the motherboard because it was not present before the change of motherboard.

  • laptop, needs motherboard replacement, subsequently, I, again, would be able, who, access to and use, the CS, Master, collection, previously installed?

Computer laptop with already installed CS6 Master Collection needs a new motherboard replacement. Access to use the software, it would be better to go ahead and replace the motherboard? Or, remove the hard drive and reinstall on another laptop? Initially, I bought the laptop with all the pre-loaded software.

You will be able to reinstall the software as long as you have the serial number needed to activate.  You should check with the company that sold the machine if they did not support installation with it.  The downloads are available through https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

  • Satellite C660-15R motherboard replacement question

I C660-15r laptop and the motherboard no longer works, the reference is the - 6841p.
    I saw one for sale.

My question is if I buy this record, it will be in being all problems if so what will be the questions please.

Someone did he do not any other compatible with this laptop motherboards also and if so what are the part numbers, thanks a lot,

Well, the laptop card mother replacement isn t easy. Its more complicated such as on desktop computers.
First of all its really difficult to disassemble the whole laptop and on the other hand; After the replacement of the motherboard the DMI string must be updated.

The DMI code is programmed in each motherboard and the DMI string contains information about the cell phone as; Serial number, model number, etc.

Without this update, some software requiring such information might not work properly. Also, the laptop recovery is not possible.

This is why this should be replaced by a mobile technician.

    > As someone not of any other motherboards compatible with this laptop and if so what are the part numbers, thank you very much
You must use the motherboard published for series Satellite A660.
Don t think another motherboard is compatible.

  • HP 255 G1: Possible motherboard replacement

Hi I currently have a G1 with an E2 AMD 255 HP - 1800 APU and I know that this cannot be upgraded without replacing the motherboard, so I was hoping I could get replacements possible motherboard I want to spend at least an i5 or AMD equivalent.

    Thank you

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

If you try to go Intel, you can buy a motherboard and processor and heatsink/fan.

If you go AMD all what you need is the motherboard, since your cooling fan/radiator can be brought to the course, and the CPU is soldered to the card.

    It's the motherboard you want:

Card system (including thermal replacement materials): for use only with the models with a processor AMD A6-5200 ● models with 8 Standard 730670-501 ● Windows with Windows 8 Professional 730670-601

I will assume that you have standard Windows.

HP doesn't have the A6 AMD Board in the store... they have the jury of the A4 and it is stupid cheap:

    https://parts.HP.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=AE6D55D28A8C42CE89A8C049F3D07655&SearchIn=PartNumber&SearchPN=730671-501

Because you don't have to share, it's going to cost close to $500. I can find you a good Intel 250 G1 opportunity for that price.

You can find the jury for $67 eBay:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-255-G1-laptop-motherboard-AMD-A-series-A4-5000-1-50-GHz-730671-501-tested-/291792328450?hash=item43f02d9702:g:298AAOSwM4xXYC9Q

I know you wanted something a little more powerful, but the A4 will be a major improvement on what you have.

The laptopaid vendor, is one of the best on eBay for this sort of thing. I can't count how many things I've bought from them.

Post back if you need help most. The manual just shows how to replace the motherboard. On the port your fan, memory, the wireless card. You need to reinstall the original Windows, but the motherboard has a key built into the BIOS Code and will only activate. If your hard drive still has the original installation of HP it should activate itself when first connected to the internet, but be ready if necessary to do a system restore.

  • Motherboard replacement

    The motherboard I have is for a Hp Pavilion Dv 7 p/n FS129UA #ABA {motherboard serial # [redacted]}.

What compatible motherboard I can move on. It should be faster or better than the previous version; I need to know the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best please. Finally, where can I order this part wanting to kill my wallet?

It is a dv7-1135nr AMD Turion. On a 6 year old laptop.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01918142.PDF

It has only 2 mothers possible and this is the part No. HP. that suits:

    486541 001

$140 on eBay of the Japan:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-Pavilion-AMD-dv7-series-motherboard-486541-001-fully-tested-/390742406115?PT=motherboards&hash=item5afa0ff3e3

The manual also lists processor options and the generation of processor is very good cheap now if you want to upgrade the CPU while you're there.

    Good luck.

  • Pavilion dv7-6c60us: issue of replacement to the Pavilion dv7-6c60us cooling fan

Hi, so I was very sick, and having a TON of medical procedures made and until they are made my phone is my lifeline and my entertainment, etc.  So a few months back I started getting the dreaded cooling fan error 90 b at random, but now it's every time you start, I built workstations for 3D animation and editing of film/TV (which I do) from scratch and I replaced my previous laptop motherboard Dell, but it's been a while and I'm mixes returns on the research of some saying that it is easy to just replace the fan, pop the switch out, replace it and you are made to these step by step guides, saying: he basically have to go all the way to the motherboard to replace just the fan.  I wanted to just go straight to the horses mouth so to speak and know, because given my health unstable and "convalescent" until I got better in VERY VERY RURAL NC it is now a doubtful 'authorized repair shop' which is little far from me, I wonder if it is only involved should I just let - keeping in mind , I have medical bills piling up and a lot of know how myself, but maybe not the stamina, or should I hard outside - year how "hard" is to just replace the fan.  The left side of the laptop last week became really hot to the touch, whereas before there were 90 b but there was no significant difference and the unit still works, and that's all that I have here PC / computer wise and cannot not simply run out and purchase all replacement until after I'm better that might be 4 months or more? Help?

Replace a fan in a book involves a complete disassembly of the laptop.

If you don't have the patience and thoroughness to disassemble and reassemble then the laptop to a State because of your physical condition, I would recommend having a shop to do it for you. Consider cloning hard drive to a storage device before you leave the shop to have it.

    Hello:

Yes, you should backup your files and replace the hard drive because it will ultimately be completely conk out on you.

No one will be able to tell you what those generated codes mean.

The key words here are hard drive has failed.

    Hello

Try disabling the hybrid Windows 8 start - you can do the following.

Right-click in the battery icon in the taskbar and select Power Options - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close open windows and stop the laptop by right clicking on the icon from the Start Menu, select prompt (Admin) and click 'Yes' to the uac prompt.

Type (or copy and paste) the following command (including spaces) and click Enter.

    Shutdown /s /t 0

Start the laptop and let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking if it is now shut down properly in the Start Menu.

If this has fixed the problem, it may be useful by turning the quick start back on - sometimes simply remove and re-create the file will solve the problem.

    Kind regards
