Pavilion: battery

Hello world

I'd really appreciate some feedback...

Used only once in 3 years, but the battery was left in the computer.

Tried to load it, but it reads "" trendy but not load " The battery is completely discharged.

Swapped try it with another battery and its able to load, regardless of the issue is this is not with the computer, but with the battery.

I also uninstalled the battery driver in Device Manager, but still because there is no charge I could not continue the process. Since then, the driver software has been reinstalled.

I tested it and it said battry calibration needs and gives a list of how do.

The first thig on the list is to charge the battery, so you can do 20 other things that must be operational.

My question is if the battery is not how I calibrate?

Someone at - it suggestions?

Thank you very much

I doubt it, and Yes, it can be a challenge.

You will have to hunt online for one like this.

Note the warning: Please make sure that your old battery model is "HP LA04', not 'HP OA04', since 'HP LA04' and 'HP OA04' batteries are very similar, but not the same battery.

  • laptop game Pavilion - battery DISCHARGE too fast

    Hi@sidlo64,

    Thanks for the reply.

If the battery has passed the test, then it is not a battery problem.

The only reason to find that level of load is the unit is put to sleep instead of shutdown.

Also, try to reinstall the battery controller following the steps below.

    • Open the "Run" dialog box by pressing and hold the Windows key, and then press R ('Run').
    • Type devmgmt.msc. and press ENTER.
    • Once opened the Device Manager, look for an option named "Stacks" and click on it to decompress.
    • Look for the option "ACPI control method battery Microsoft". Right-click on the option and then uninstall it. Remove the multiple options of the same type.
    • Once done. Restart the PC and check if that helps.

Note: Do not check the box that says to delete the driver. If done, the battery will never work on your PC again.

Two years and a bit of battery life is slightly better than the standard. If the battery has served you well.

Search online and find a vendor that sells a compatible battery warranty for your laptop with a one year warranty.

It is your choice to use a capacity of mtandard or higher capacity battery. The higher capacity batteries have generally a bit of a bulge on the botton.

We wouldn't have an idea on the rebate that HP might offer targeted at one of the many regional HP markets.

  • PC Pavilion laptop: no sound on Pavilion g6 after installing the new battery CMOS

I have a Pavilion g6z - 1 d 00 CTO Notebook PC, model A2F43AV number.  It came with Windows 7 Home Premium, and I upgraded the operating system to Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

The problem is that I did not sound, either through headphones or the speakers even if the Volume is set at 55. I first noticed the audio problem after replacing the CMOS battery, as the laptop is 4 years old and he gave me intermittent wireless connectivity problems.  After installing the new battery CMOS, I noticed the wireless driver was missing and downloaded/installed.  Everything was fine except the audio.  Then I reset the BIOS but nothing there as the BIOS version is v.49, and it is the most recent.

I have also downloaded/installed the driver audio and rebooted the PC.  Still, there is no noise.

Finally, I have checked the audio drivers and the reporting system they work without any problem.

    What should I do next?

    Thanks, Terry

    Thanks for the reply,

I was under the impression that these links would take you to guide step by step, however, it seems that they do not work,

However, I have provided details below:

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

    5. Remove the battery from the compartment to batteries.

    6. Press and hold button power for about 15 seconds, remove any residual electric charge capacitors that protect memory.

    7. Insert the battery and plug the power adapter into the laptop, but do not connect peripheral devices.

    8. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

    9. If a boot menu appears, use the arrow keys to select start Windows normally and then press the Enter key.

    10. After you have reconnected each peripheral device, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all device drivers.

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a sealed or non-removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

  • Pavilion DV6: Laptop battery

    Hi there everyone

I wonder if someone can help me here. I have my computer laptop battery die and I am looking for a replacement. Really not found on the market a battery with the same characteristics as follows:

    HP - Pavilion Dv6 laptop

    HP 593554-001 replacement spare part

    10.8V

    55Wh

Can someone tell me please in the right direction to get a new battery?

    Thanks in advance.

    See you soon

No, but understand this isn't a real HP battery. The working hypothesis is simply the ability of the cells. Watt hours. It does not affect the current quantity battery provides the laptop at all times.

    Hi @shuvo2014,

    Thank you for your update.

As this started to happen after replacing the water of the power button, I guess that's the culprit.

If a repair shop did the replacement I suggest you have them take a look at it again.  If you have replaced yourself, first I would check the connections.   If the connections appear OK, I'll try a different ribbon cable to see what is at the origin.

Please let me know the results.

    Good luck!

  • HP Pavilion 15: Battery not charging

I have a HP Pavilion 15, who began to do not charge the battery. It flows from the power of thin battery, but the battery is not more. I have to run my computer off the AC charger because I need what is left in the battery to start the computer. I had already tried to go through the system diagnostics. It says that the charger is not detected. I tested it and it is turning off the right amount of power, however.

This is the charge Jack or the motherboard, I'm sorry to say. Decision-making is not expensive but still a repair difficult. The motherboard is expensive and difficult.

  • Battery HP Pavilion 15-N214TX issue

    Hello

Today, I bought a HP Pavilion N214TX 15 notebook brand new. When I got home, I unboxed it, inserted the battery, plugged into the wall and turn it on powered for the first time. Then, I saw this message:

    HP battery alert
The system has detected the following battery storage capacity is very low.
For optimal performance, this battery will need to be replaced.
    Battery (internal) (601)
    ENTER - continue starting
For more information, please visit: www.hp.com \go\techcenter\startup

Windows reports, plugged in and not charging.

I removed and re - insert the battery, entry in the HP Support Assistant application conducted an audit of the battery (only to point out that it cannot find a battery!) and I ran diagnostics pre-boot, who also pointed out that there is no battery inserted. I saw somewhere that you should remove the power supply before running the tests. When I pressed the power button while the laptop was plugged in the AC, the charging light just blinked white three times. I could get at a certain point in the diagnoses of pre-boot on battery, but I always saw the message saying no battery has been found.

This is a great laptop, it's super fast, software installs quickly, programs open quickly, it stops and starts quickly, but this battery issue is a huge disappointment. I do not expect this kind of problem a new ~ $1100 laptop.

    Help, please!

  • HP Pavilion X 2 battery is empty when it is in Standby Mode

I have a HP Pavilion X 2 product number F5W70UA #ABA. I struggled because I bought this just a few months ago. He helped to ensure that I could wake up the machine, but the battery keeps draining and I am at my wits end. I have also passed through many messages from the forum on this issue and have run the Test of battery HP but also checked all the power management settings and they seem to be correctly configured.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi DontLoveWindows,

According to the information that you gave me, it is show that you have 2 installed anti-virus software. Avast and Norton, that run continuously when the printer is in "standby", which could be drain your power.

It also shows that your printer has missing or misconfigured drivers who might be using power as well. Here is a download software HP Photosmart full feature and drivers for your printer.

I suggest that you disable your startup software. To do this:

Right click or tap and hold the lower left corner of the screen and select run.

Type msconfig in the run box, and then press ENTER.

    The MSconfig window opens.

If the user account control window opens with the message Windows needs your permission to continue, click or tap on continue to close the window.
If the Normal startup is selected, follow these steps:

Select Selective startup and clear the check box load startup items.

Click and press Services tab, and then select the hide all Microsoft Services at the bottom of the screen check box.

Click or tap on disable all.

If selective startup is currently selected, follow these steps:

Click and press Services tab, and then select the hide all Microsoft Services at the bottom of the screen check box.

Make a list of the items that are selected. You will need this list to reset your computer startup items later.

Click or tap on disable all.

    Click or tap Apply.

Click or tap on OK. A new window will appear.

Click or tap on Restart to continue.

Once it reboots it put in mode 'sleep' and test to see if this solves the problem. If she then you must enable one of starting at a time until you find that one is causing the problem. Once you have found out what is causing the problem, then you can solve it.

If you need help, then validate the results and I am happy to continue to help you.

    Kind regards.
