Pavilion dm1 4125sz: "Speakers unplugged" after 10 Winows upgrade

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 weeks ago.  This seems successful, and I have not used the phone so far. I find that I have no audio output.  The "speaker" icon has a red x at the bottom, and when I move the mouse over it, he said: "no speakers or headphones are connected.

I went by the boards on the sites HP and Microsoft, tryigt the suggesed of different things and none of these work.

I went to Device Manager, where there ' AMD high definition deivce.  When II asked him to update the driver, it says the best driver software is already installed.  I tried to uninstall and reboot the computer and it is unchanged.  I tried to install a driver manually, by selecting the player high definition - it this ends, but my speakers are always 'Unplugged '.

I downloaded the HP hardware diagnostics program and he ran to test the sound and speakers succeeded the sounds appropriate if it meets the test. If the speakers are apparently!

I guess the problem is that there is not a Windows 10 driver for my processor.

I can't go back to Windows 7, I spent the period of four weeks.  I don't have any system disks with the laptop (it doesn't have a CD/DVD drive) so can not go back to Windows 7 like that.  I tried to get the Microsoft Media creation tool, but when I entered the product code, I got the message:

"The product key you have entered seems to be the software that was preinstalled by the manufacturer.  Please, contact the manufacturer for the software recovery options.

I can't find any way to contact HP for recovery options.

Is there anything else I can do or am I stuck with a laptop with no sound?

Any help appreciated.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  • computer portable Pavilion dm1 freezes after appearance of the Office

HP Pavilion dm1 mini laptop computer Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition.  Freezes the shortly after the desktop appears - no response from any action of the mouse or the keyboard.  Wireless signal-meter at the bottom right shows the circle of rotation and does not seem to connect, but turn off Wireless (button) has little effect.  At the restoration of the system to return two updates.  Antivirus software is uninstalled.  Memory test OK.  CHKDSK OK.  Works perfectly in safe mode with network.  No error message.  No new software installed recently.  Worked fine on October 7 - no symptoms of imminent failure.   Can you suggest a next step?

The problem spontaneously resolved itself last night.  After a week of troubleshooting and research, the laptop is not cold as it had been.  Still, it worked fine in safe mode, but would freeze after Normal reboot.  I have not changed anything in these last days, other than to restart several times, in SAFE and NORMAL mode.  Finally this morning it worked normally without freezing during the night.  Not sure that the problem could be.  Made several updates to Java and Windows without problem.

  • How upgrade to 64 bit Win 7 after upgrade Ram 6 GB on 3250br Pavilion DM1?

I m going to upgrade 6 GB memory on my Pavilion DM1 3250br. Although windows indicate it is 64-bit capable windows anytime update installed 32-bit (because it has less than 2 GB available).

    1. How should you proceed to upgrade to 64-bit after upgrade memory? I don't have a system disk, only the suplyed key home premium by HP.

2 HP has 64-bit for all devices drivers? They are in D: recovery drive or I´ll need to download the upgrade?

    3. any information you want to give.

    Best regards

    Eduardo

    Hi, Eduardo:

    You can try it.

I know it works if you have a retail upgrade key which means that it is good for 32 or 64 bit.

I don't know an ISO file that you get off the internet is an OEM file.

If this is the case, it will not work. If this isn't the case, I doubt it will be.

I have dealt only with the installations of Windows 7 using OEM disks or retail upgrade.

Basically, the key that you use must be the same as the installation disc.

OEM disc / ISO good with the key on the bottom of your portable forest 32 or 64 OEM.

Plenty of retail disc / ISO only good with the full commercial product key, you get the box or the e-mail sent to you - 32 or 64 bit.

The retail upgrade disc / ISO only good with the retail upgrade key, you get in the box or the e-mail sent to you - 32 or 64-bit.

Upgrade Express disc / ISO only good with the upgrade retail or upgrade Express key - 32 or 64-bit if you have a disk.

I used a disk of 64 bit Vista Business anytime upgrade to upgrade Vista Home Premium 64 bit update, and I was able to use the key from Vista Business 32 bit provided with the 32-bit disk (I had a 32-bit Vista Business retail box update but they come only with discs of 32 bits at the time and you had to order a CD of) 64-bit and pay $10. You can't even not the disks in 64-bit vista to MS.

    Hope this helps,

Well, this would mean that you have to order the official HP recovery media to restore factory.

  • HP Pavilion DM1: Laptop does not connect to Internet

My HP Pavilion dm1 is not connecting to the internet.  I know it's a older laptop (I bought it in 2011) but everything has worked very well so far.  It shows my network is available and I was able to access the internet from my phone to my roommate, but my laptop does not connect.  I have tried all the usual stuff... rebooted the laptop several times, ran troubleshooting, unplugged the router and the modem.  I noticed it happened after I installed an update of Windows, so I uninstalled the updates and still no luck.  What should I try next?

  • Pavilion dm1: failed upgrade Windows 10 other dm1

I don't know what your model contains wireless card model, so please do the following steps and I will understand this and post links to the BT drivers and wireless you need...

Since there is no driver installed wireless, we need a labeled device network controller in Device Manager in the category other devices.  The network controller device will be a little! mark next to him.

Thus, to find the network controller device, click on that and then click on the Details tab.

Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.

On this list and select the third element (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  • Problem reinstalling Windows 7 on Pavilion dm1 netbook with software HP-published records

Hello, I have a Pavilion dm1 that require a clean installation of the Windows 7 operating system due to a keylogger problem that could not be defeated.  After backing up my system, I used DBAN Boot and Nuke to zero to HD.  I tried to reinstall the OS with the published HP recovery disks.  Everything seems to load fine until I got to the screen showing "Windows Setup".  There is a small pop-up screen indicating "Windows is now set the following...". "The 'installing the software preparation" has a check mark next to it, and the order of the day on the "Software Installation" list is highlighted. I then get an another pop up screen indicating "You must restart your computer to apply these changes", but the touchpad does not work where I can still get the pointer to appear to make a choice.  The system hangs just upward at this stage.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.  Thank you.

How do you lond it hang before you finished it?

HP recovery restarts on its own (several times) you shouldn't have to do anything and it is recommended that you do not use the keyboard or a touch pad during the recovery process, it can be a process hours several retrieving records. Be sure the wireless is turned on when you start the recovery process.
