    Hello and thank you,

but I had already done all the things that you suggested and your advice was right on point, but the laptop is a 2005 model and in its release cost a fortune, I guess we got our money wrth although I could buy 4 destops for the price of the HP Pavillion dv9005, just want to I could get it to start , with his age, he is not a value of the repair costs.

But I so appreciated your answer... Viewied much my post but you were the only one to respond, sad for the HP forums. I went else where to get advice and got a lot of instant answers... If the laptop is still under warranty it would not have been a problem. I don't know that this model had a recal on this HP never does the model owners aware of the recall... What a pity so disappointed in HP. I bought a Lenovo y580 a year ago and I doubt that I'll never have problems with support.

I hate to complain, but still Ty

Remember, this is a users forum and questions are answered when you can be sure of the answer. I can say, on the one hand, if your system is an AMD-based system in the failures of graphic chipset Nvidia/AMD feared so your Board is most likely won't want to work more. Dv6000 and DV9000 HP have been candidate of choice for these chipset failures unless they have their video chipset fixed or replaced.

  • Laptop HP Pavilion G6 does not illuminate

I got this laptop a little over a year.  A few nights ago I used it, and it worked very well.  The next morning, he does not and would not charge. Any suggestions?

Try a hard reset as follows:

    (1) remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
    (2) press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.
    (3) plug the DC power adapter (leave the battery for now)
    4) press the power button

Please post here your positives or negatives in your thread.

    Best regards

  • Pavilion a1620n won't start, the fans are not running. PS on the light and Sun. Start button does not illuminate

Pavilion a1620n won't start, the fans are not running. PS on the light and Sun. Start button does not illuminate. EU tested ps and I was told it was OK. Disconnected from the motherboard except course before directed ps button and the cpu fan has become much brighter, but that's all that happened. Any suggestions on what to check? Checked with VOM push and he seemed to agree. Replaced the MB with the new Board of Directors, that didn't work either. Don't know if it was any good, it was a store Bulletin Board.

All the indicators you mention leads to the PSU, not the Board of Directors.

My laptop series HP Pavilion G7-1135sd will not start. I get no response from the switch. Some lights come but the display does not illuminate. I tried holding down the power switch for long periods - without success. I tried to take out the battery - also without success. Any ideas?

    Hi @DutchyH,

Welcome to the Forum.  Sorry to hear of your problem power button on your HP Pavilion g7-1135sd.

In a situation like this.  You have removed the battery and tried to push the power button with out.

Have you tried while he was not powered as well.  So basically, remove the battery and hold the power button for 40 seconds with the power cord not plugged in.  Then replace the battery followed by power cord.  Then press the power button again.  If it does not at this stage I would contact HP support by phone.

Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number.

I hope this has helped you.

  • Pavilion a350e does not turn on

I have a HP Pavilion a350e.  The other day we had a power failure while the computer was on.  It was plugged into a surge protector with printer, etc.  When the power came back we were able to climb the tower to power.  Any other equipment plugged into the surge protector switched on and working. There is a green led on the back of the computer that flashes when you have the power cord is connected, but the computer will not feed when we try to turn it on.  The blue light does not illuminate, there is no indication that the computer is turn on (without fans, noise, etc.).  The power button had become rather difficult to the end so I removed the case perhaps thinking would be the switch but it seems to work normally (the button of the switch itself sounds and feels like it's working properly).  I read things on the positions that it could be the hard drive (hope not we have important information that we would have to recover), the motherboard from the power supply.  Can you give me any direction?

More than likely that the power supply is toast.

The tutorial step by step on the power supply: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph06788

Your original power supply should look like this: http://www.power-on.com/atx12v250bt.html

Please note the connectors and the dimensions of the supply. It uses a mobo 20pin connector.

You have a laptop. So try the right button on your touchpad. It work?
If so, the only remaining possibilities are:
    1. bad mouse. Get a new one.
    2. defective UBS port. Plug the mouse into a different port. See if the right click of the mouse works this time.

    What is fake

When the computer is turned on the blue light. CD drive flashes several times. The keyboard lights do not come. The hard drive light does not illuminate. Monitor does not light. Hard disk can be heard to power it up/spinning. Supply fans, CPU, graphics spin. Green power light on the back of the power supply is on (even if computer is off). No computer beeps. Computer can be turned off by holding the button market / stop.

    What I have tried-

I tried another monitor / no monitor, keyboard (ps/2 and usb) / no keyboard, connect monitor to different ports (hdmi, dvi, vga) opened case cut / replugged the power (including the motherboard power) cables and hard drive. Deleted graphic card, memory. I also deleted BIOS and password using the jumper. Same result of computer do not start and no beeps or messages.

    When he started-

The problem started when the computer was installed Vista SP2. Computer attempted to restart itself, but he stops and never returned. I waited 30 minutes, then holding the button market / stop.

I'm guessing that there is a problem with the motherboard. Unfortunately this model isn't on the recall list.

Today, I received the China replacement motherboard. I installed it and everything works OK now. If the motherboard was bad (6 months after the expiration of the warranty).

The new cost of Council $90 shipped and is "relooked" of a s3717kr slimline model.

You can always update your firmware with iTunes. But it seems you might have a larger, likely hardware problem with your phone.

Try to restore the firmware with iTunes. If this does not help, make an appointment with a genius at the Apple Store.
