  I ended up taking my laptop to a tech repair shop and found out that the problem was the motherboard - I had to pay for a new part and pay for this service, luckily the place is a fair price and only cost me the price of a new laptop. It sucks that I have had the computer for less than two years and I have to do an important replacement, but at least I know never buy another laptop HP again! Good luck!

I held the power to discharge remaining power, then plugged in the ac adapter shows blue light to the decision-making of the laptop, but none of the front lights light up.   Remember, this is a users forum and questions are answered when you can be sure of the answer. I can say, on the one hand, if your system is an AMD-based system in the failures of graphic chipset Nvidia/AMD feared so your Board is most likely won't want to work more. Dv6000 and DV9000 HP have been candidate of choice for these chipset failures unless they have their video chipset fixed or replaced.

  Please check the following in the Control Panel, it is possible that the touchpad has been turned off.

  Recently, I follow several updates driver on my laptop as suggested by HP Support Assistant. I believe that most, if not all, these updates have been Intel. Since then, my computer was not stopping completely.

  No matter if I push the power button / stop or klick on farm on the menu, my laptop to initialize the process of closing and I get the blue screen that says "Shutting down...". "but when the screen goes black, my power button light remains on and I can hear the cooling of laptop. Basically, I have to hold the power button for a long time if I want to completely stop my laptop (and to reactivate it later).

  Does anyone have the same problem or know a solution? I suspect, it might have to do with the new drivers, but I don't know how to solve this problem (or even how to know that the drivers have been updated lately..).

  Help would be much appreciated!

  Try the following.

  Open settings and select System.  Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

  In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close the open windows and restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, download the driver directly from Intel IMEI on the following link, unzip the and run the installer.

  Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

  When the machine rebooted, re - activate the quick start and restart the computer once more - let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking.

• Pavilion 15: Laptop HP Pavilion connected does not support

  I have a "HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC' with Windows 8.1 and almost two years.  A few months ago, I had my laptop on my lap and it randomly turned off, once again did not higher than approximately 84%.  Every now and then I would plug in to charge and he said "plugged in, not load ' so I solved the problem by turning off the coast, taking the battery, turning on, uninstallation of Microsoft ACPI-compliant stack method, turning off putting, the battery back on, the BMCC ACPI would day and she charged up about 84%.

  Since about a week ago, which has stopped working. I tried to update the ACPI-BMCC, do the above, several times, and nothing works. I noticed the recommendation for the utility of battery HP but 1) who has not worked in the past, when he would not load completely and 2) the computer has a 0% load and will not hold a charge, so the step where it says turn on unplugged, my computer won't turn on.

  After trying to use the utility of battery HP a few things happened. (1) I have to hit the ESC key to access the menu, by pressing on it when the logo appears as it says has no effect. (2) when I tried to run the battery test, it says 2 minutes from the end and 1% complete before freezing the computer upwards and after pressing the power button it instantly disabled.

  I don't know if I need to get a new battery or if I just try something, I didn't get even.

  That information is a strong indication that the battery needs to be replaced, it is not read correctly.

  On page 47, the battery part number is listed:

  4 cells, 41 WH, 2.8 Ah, Li-ion - 756743-001 battery

  If you have purchased an extended warranty with Notepad, you can call HP Support:

  If not, you can buy a battery of the user part of HP or other trusted shopping sites, using the battery part numbers: 756743-001

  Looks like you are not able to turn on the laptop despite trying several times

  We will surely help you with this problem

  You will find advice and the steps involved in solving this problem:

  01. remove all cables and devices, disconnect them and try to turn on the device

  02 check LED light situation and ensure that the action of the spring button / stop is normal

  Note: With No Power scenario, there would be no LED lights

  03 Exchange with a well known power cord and the AC adapter

  04 incase no adapters are available, check if the power adaptor is slightly warm

  Note: This will give us an indication that the power adapter could be good

  05. do you know if the laptop was in battery or power adapter when you used the last time

  Note: Ensure that there is no spill of liquid or cutting

  06 off the laptop

  07. disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

  08 hold down the power button on the laptop for a minute

  09. now we will re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

  10. run Notepad.

  Hello. My pavilion dm1 stopped turning. When the battery is in it is plug in, nothing happens and no lights. I tried holding power button thing. Did not work. When the battery is removed and it is plugged into the socket the led lights blue solid but nothing happens. Be great if someone can point me in the right direction.

  My laptop HP envy m6 worked great for 3 years. I used it mainly for homework and games. I keep dormant and restart once a month. But about a month ago I stopped it completely, and later I came to start it and it would not turn. No lights or anything like that. I plugged it in and it has continued to have no sign of life. I pulled out and blew on the battery then replaced and it works. A week after I stop it again and the same problem occurred, I left hip and left a few hours back and press the power button and it came on. Today the same problem has occurred but it won't turn. So far I have pulled out and blew the load on the battery, replaced cable and left that it plugged in for hours. No forums got me a solution yet. Thanks in advance

  Computer a new battery, new battery and new charger.

  Battery is installed and the charger plug. Blue light on the charger and the laptop on.

  In the lower left corner of the laptop power light load.

  No external devices.

  No CD in the drive.

  Press power button / stop, blue lights to the right of the switch light as well as supply lower left turns, seeing of the hard drive and rectangle above the touch mouse on the left side until you stop pressing the Start button / stop.

  Also the power of seeing low left to load turns off.

  No display on the screen, no beeps or tones, no fan noise and noise from the hard drive.

  The only thing you can do is to look at a repair shop, so they can test parts.

  You have a laptop. So try the right button on your touchpad. It work?
  If so, the only remaining possibilities are:
  1. bad mouse. Get a new one.
  2. defective UBS port. Plug the mouse into a different port. See if the right click of the mouse works this time.

Disconnected from the motherboard except course before directed ps button and the cpu fan has become much brighter, but that's all that happened. Any suggestions on what to check? Checked with VOM push and he seemed to agree. Replaced the MB with the new Board of Directors, that didn't work either. Don't know if it was any good, it was a store Bulletin Board.

  All the indicators you mention leads to the PSU, not the Board of Directors.

  My Toshiba Qosmio f15-av201 does not turn when you push the power button, even if the lights of ac adapter & battery are both on (on). Indeed, the yellow light that is supposed to turn on the power button when the laptop is turned off does not appear. In addition, there is no sign that shows the laptop tries to start when the button is pressed, not even a peep. The laptop was recently dismantled (open) to clean the fans, who made the famous monstrous noise which toshiba qosmios are apparently well known for.

  I agree with kody. Of course, it is not easy to say with certainty why this happens. Who tore your laptop? Service or only you?

  To be honest, I think you did it alone. Have you used maintenance manuals?

  Welcome to the Forum.  Sorry to hear of your problem power button on your HP Pavilion g7-1135sd.

  In a situation like this.  You have removed the battery and tried to push the power button with out.

  Have you tried while he was not powered as well.  So basically, remove the battery and hold the power button for 40 seconds with the power cord not plugged in.  Then replace the battery followed by power cord.  Then press the power button again.  If it does not at this stage I would contact HP support by phone.
