Pavilion dv4 1430us: Pavilion dv4 1430us stuck button mute

The button mute on my Pavilion dv4 1430us is stuck on red, and no sound comes out of the speakers. Sound will come with headphones. When I hit the mute button, it will not change to blue. I tried to download a new BIOS, but that did not work. I think that result to download a bunch of long updates of Windows.
Thank you!

My Mute button and the wireless button disappeared. They are neither orange nor blue, they are not highlighted.

I did my Lalonde normal and regular cleaning. With the help of the manual I disasembled the phone until I could access the fan/heatsink and clean it with air preasured. After reassembling the laptop, I discovered that the two buttons are not appearing on the cover of the switch. I thought that I must have failed to plug something properly, but after checking twice, I am sure that everything is as it should be. The wireless card works perfectly, so are the speakers. The computer turns on automatically (I'm actually hit him), wifi works perfectly (well, I'm on it) scrolling volume works ok, so media buttons. But everything I try, I cannot get the Mute and buttons wireless to work once more.

    Any help would be welcome.

  • Pavilion 15 p009st: HP Pavilion 15 laptop computer p009st button mute LED does not

    Help, please!

I've had this laptop for two years, and it's already happened; I don't remember how I solved it then. The small orange LED on the button mute (also f6) don't would light up. This happened after I cleaned the computer using CCleaner. I guess I deleted something I shouldn't. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? Thank you.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download the Realtek Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72139.exe

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R.

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.

In the Device Manager window, expand sound, video and game controllers, right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72043.exe

When the reinstallation of Chipset is finished, stop the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When Windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right-click on the setup of Realtek Audio and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  • My volume is stuck on mute

It's happened several times, but I could always fix simply by rebooting my mac. Now, whenever I try to restart, it does nothing. My volume is stuck on mute. The icon on my top bar is grayed out and my sound preferences look like this (the volume is muted and I can't fix it, because its greyed out) http://prnt.sc/c8078e.

I tried all of the levy with a toothpick to stick my headphones in and out several times. For others there is usually a red light, but I don't have that.

I hope someone can understand how to solve this problem.

However, the volume keys Up and Down works play/pause and skip buttons work fine when I'm listening music.

Again any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello

Seems a (possibly windows) updates confusing the registry and this could be the reason for this
Usually the VAP (value added package) control buttons.

This is why I would recommend that a proposal of solution; Reinstall the VAP.
Visit the page of the Toshiba driver and download the good PPV for your notebook from the series.
Remove the old, reboot the device and reinstall the VAP.

  • HP ZBook Studio G3: seeing the button mute not working not

Hi, my audio driver is up to date, but mute the light no longer works. Let me know when there is an update that will correct the problem.

My product number is T6E16UT #ABL

    Thank you and best regards.

    An update...

I reapplied Conexant HD Audio Driver 2015 (softpaq SP75820 worm 10.0.877.650Qp5) and finally managed to do work.

The laptop acted strange after the required reboot. After logging in, everything was black. Has been able to launch the Task Manager by using the ctrl-shift-esc sequence and has been able to press ctrl-alt-del to get a menu to restart, I did. After the reboot, still have a black screen but I pass as my mouse cursor was told the system was not idle, and then wait for a course ends (the wheel turning next to the mouse cursor is on and off).

Then... I could see the orange led once I pressed the button mute. IT acted weird in the beginning, but it seems to sync with the action, that it either using the button mute the hardware, icon or the fn-talk up/down...

    So... it was my dose.

  • Satellite A500-19W: How can I activate button light button mute?

Anyone know how I can activate the switch Illumination in a mute button?
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A500-19W, with win 7 installed.

I have 8 keys as usual (eco, CD/DVD, play, previous, next, illumination and sound - and +)
The light switch controls all the LEDs on the laptop and I find it useless. Is there a way I can turn into button mute?

I found a way to control through toshiba Deputy-> optimize-> support button, but I do not know what data to enter.
When I choose the illumination button under the name of power button, I have to fill the description, option and target path field for the mute button. Any idea which must be entered in these areas?

    Thanks in advance

To be honest, I think that it is a very useful option, because in a certain situation you can toggle light very quickly and do not start multiple tools to achieve this.
Please note that you can use the mute box very quickly by using the FN + ESC key combination.

In any case, I ve experienced follow:
After the installation of own added value package I pressed the button to light for the first time and I had small window with the Toshiba button assignment tool message you pressed the button has not been configured.
I ve set my preferred option and got the following with window
+ Are you sure that you want to set the button for this function? Once you set the button, you can not change this default unless you reinstall Button Toshiba Support. +

So I think you know what you need to do now and try to change it.

    Thank you.

    Hello

"Depending on whether the special function mode" is enabled or disabled, you will need to press additional FN button to use the special function of Toshiba key.

Please check this Toshiba document how to change the Mode of function keys
