Pavilion dv4t 1400: stop computer laptop everything in bios update

Lately when I turn on my laptop, the screen is black, shift caps lock and scroll will blink two times, I read that I should update my bios.
The problem is when updating (insydeFlash runs to Midway) I noticed my laptop stop working.
The window is on, I can see everything on the screen, even the sound of my laptop, but I can move the mouse, though >. >
I don't know what I have to do? Should I turn off my laptop?

@Akamiyatran,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  When it comes to an update of the bios is the rule if it's not broken don't fix it.  If he is blocked and does not have the only choice you have is to do a hard reset first.

    In this last week, my fingerprint reader is no longer running on my laptop Pavilion dv4t-1400. I think that he stopped when last week he had two usb problems which are still pending - that is to say, under Device Manager, there are two USB keys with a yellow warning triangle and after trying to help out, he said: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. I reinstalled the Validity Sensor software several times, but it does make a difference.

    BTW, to the best of my knowledge, there had not been any new software updates before the USB errors.

    This problem is solved when I turned off my laptop, unplugged the adapter and all external connections, removed the battery, expected a minute, resinserted the battery and restarted my PC.

    Validity Sensor driver has been added automatically by Windows, and my fingerprint reader is now recognized and working.

  • Cleaning my computer laptop everything

    If I want to remove everything off my laptop or most of the stuff and just start the day, I bought it with Microsoft stuff on it, but nothing else... I can do this? Is this possible? System Restore will only return 2 weeks? Can I restore the system from like 6 months ago?

    System Restore will not take this back to what you want it to be.
    And it has kept only so many Restore Points can be, depending on the amount of space is allocated for it.

    If you want it to be how it was when you bought it, you do a restore to the factory settings. :

    How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    You can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • HP Pavilion 15 Gaming Notebook: computer laptop lid/top shows the light rectangular patch of light
    I bought my laptop on December 31, 2015. Computer laptop lid/top (surface behind the laptop screen) allows you to travel light screen in there because it was very translucent and is clearly visible and resembles a rectangular patch. I don't know if it's a design flaw with many HP 15 mobile games or if it is specific to my laptop?
    I took the screenshots via lightshot and downloaded more than diagnosis:
  • Pavilion DV4T-1400 battery does not charge
    I was getting the flashing battery light on the battery then buying a new.  That solved the problem for about a week and now he's back.  I've updated the BIOS, tried to close, pulling on the battery, now the power button then reinstall and restart, but nothing changes.  I blew the dust just in case it was due to overheating.  Still no change.
    Is there another way to solve this problem?  I usually keep the laptop plugged in anyway so I'll just continue to do unless there is no other solution unless this means that HP is on its way.
    Hello
    First, stop the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then press and hold the power button for a minute.
    Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the Batteries, click right on and the Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the PC, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the PC on just the battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Shut down the PC again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the laptop to see if it helped the issue at all.
    I wait to hear from you.
  • Dead laptop after the BIOS update. How can I restore original BIOS?
    Model: HP Pavilion m7-1015dx
    Original OS: Windows 7
    Current operating system: 64-bit Windows 8
    Problem:
    I tried to update the BIOS by using this file:
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-124651-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...
    Release: 2013-10-08
    File name: sp63801.exe [1/1, 6.56 M]
    Version F.29
    He gave me a Blue Screen of Death and the computer restarted. After the restart I only get a black screen, the fan comes on but there is no text and no way to access the BIOS, or the start menu.
    The led caps lock starts to blink twice, then stops for 1 ~ second then blinks twice again and again, indefinitely. This, according to HP, suggests a failure of the BIOS Corruption.
    What I tried:
    I do not have the HP recovery partition, so I tried to install the two update of UEFI BIOS HP SoftPAQ and HP UEFI support SoftPAQ environment on a FAT32 USB key named HP_TOOLS. I tried these tools separately, at the same time. I tried them with 3 different bios downloaded from this site. I hold the button windows and B, then turn on the computer. Nothing happens. I tried Fn and B, holding them for different periods, there are no beeps, no text on the screen, nothing. The led on the USB key blinks ten times at the beginning and then stops, then starts flashing caps lock. I tried to put the .bin file in different folders in the USB port, including the root, same result. No.SIG file is in the bios I downloaded.
    I am on mobile, excuse the errors. What Miss me?
  • Laptop freezes after BIOS update
    Today, March 22, 2015, I installed an automatic update from Toshiba for my laptop satellite. Since updating my laptop crashes seconds after the start, displaying the message: "Unhandled System exception in thread (btfilter.sys).
    Can someone help me?
    To talk about possible solutions, it would be very useful to know which model of laptop you have, and what system is pre-installed.
    In addition, it would be interesting to know if you ever tried to get the laptop back to factory settings.
    If you do not have in the past, I recommend you to perform this restore and to sett the laptop back to factory settings
  • HP Pavilion Dv7-4285dx Entertainment computer laptop Wont stay turned on
    Alrighty this is one video of my HP Pavilion Dv7 - 4285dx Entertainment Notebook Wont work video. Basically, I can't understand what was lacking on this wise material issue (and if its even possible to distance just buy a spare part) or so badly need to buy a whole new computer altogether. Already have a portable game, but I'd rather have this laptop specifically for the armed forces when were allowed to use our computers civi make calculation on projects say. Any viable solution to possibly rebuild the machine, tell buy spare parts would be epic, but I can't determine what is the problem with it on my own.
    It may make more sense to look at the video that I can show what the machine is doing when I try to use it. Video--> http://youtu.be/KO4LAP2mJNM
    He's fine, the jist is that the machine is not turned on. The power LED flashes quickly, the F12 key light flashes quickly, light flickers hard drive read/write and the power on the portion sparkles. Also the battery is removed the iron on if this is a battery issue, I've already pulled out it is not not a bad adapter block. Regarding the power light, it's a constant light to solid white'.
    Someone at - it ideas?
    I understand that the system is off almost instantly after having turned it on.
    Based on the symptoms and the video, it looks like the motherboard has failed.  There are only so many components that can cause this problem.  The battery and Charger AC/DC have been rejected.  The laptop seems to receive a continuous power supply because the light stays on.  You could try reinstalling the RAM it could be just loose enough to trigger a security breach.  I doubt that is the case since that RAM in laptop computers is guaranteed to be generally quite good.  The disk HARD and WLAN module would not cause these symptoms.
    I know that's not the answer you are looking for, but the symptoms do not match that of a failed motherboard.  You could look into this and compare it to the costs and benefits of a new laptop.  Page 84 0f this guide details what is to replace the motherboard.  According to this, the part of HP for the motherboard number is 630985-001.  You might look online to see what the cost of a motherboard to a site selling online because it does not appear that HP is available.  You can can try the HP parts store because it is more recent than the surfing part.
    In most cases, the benefits of a new system outweigh the costs and the benefits to repair an old.  However, third-party sites can carry enough good parts markets to switch the balance.
  • Computer laptop everything suddenly does not "see" my wireless router, use to work properly
    I have a HP laptop and it has implemented a wireless network a wireless d-Link N router.  Everything worked well for about 3 months.  Now, he can not connect.  Running the troubleshooting application to choose a connection - all my neighbors show up, but not that of my house.  The router is also new (he and laptop were Christmas gifts).   It used to work fine with Windows 7 one and now nothing...  I can't it appears in the list of wireless connections.
    My laptop 5 years running XP is in line with this router and it works fine - so I don't think that it is the router that is the problem.
    Thank you!
    Hello Bchek,
    Thank you for your message.  Check with your D-Link documentation and settings to make sure that the SSID broadcast has not been disabled.  This would prevent you from being able to see the wireless network.  Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.
