Pavilion dv6245us, product RP285UA, 4 GB of ram?
Initially, with 1 GB of ram, a year ago, I upgraded to 2 GB, because that's what the documentation States. But now I read around it can recognize up to 4 GB, especially since I've upgraded to Windows 7 during the summer.
Then, someone has it tested on a dv6200 series? Mine is a 32-bit system with all updated.
Hello:
If you have v.F.25 BIOS or more recent version installed, you can install 2 x 2 GB memory PC2-5300 or PC2-6400 (6400 memory will only run at 667 HMz).
The problem is that if you update the BIOS F.25 or newer, you can't because you have installed W7 and BIOS flash can run under Vista or XP.
Release notes for F.25:
Fix/development
Fixes the problem where a "blue screen" error is generated if the laptop has two modules of 2 GB of memory installed.

Hi, my HP laptop Pavilion Dv6 product: LX218EA #ABV BeatsAudio Edition is 4 years old is dying.
I did a test of equipment and is believing that the Hitachi HARD drive suffers completely.
So I pre-order a new KingSton HyperX Savage 480 GB and I tried to install it but whenever I try to boot the operating system
It says "A Disk Read Error occurred" Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart.
* The Windows operating system is installed properly.
Startup configuration is automatically set on AHCI in Bios
* The SSD is works great, I tried to install it on my desktop as well.
* The Hitachi that I have a dynamic disk and I can't clone for the new HyperX Savage.
I was looking around for a solution and I came up with the idea to take my PS4 Hitachi HARD drive and put the HyperX on it.
Is there are other Solutions if I install correctly add the SSD or I will try to replace the current HARD drive of the laptop by the disk of the PS4?
I hope I've provided enough information so someone can help you.
Thank you.
Finally fixed, first I shared in two space of the SSD on the installation of the OS, boot & init works very well. then I formatted again and installed normally without splitting the drive and starting works fine I have no problem up to 3 days of use.

HP Pavilion dv6-6153ea: can this module of RAM work in my laptop?
Hello
I'm looking to upgrade the RAM in my HP Pavilion dv6-6153EA. I checked the support pages, and I opened my laptop to check if there was a spare RAM slot, and there isn't. It takes a max of 8 GB of RAM, so since I already have 4 GB can I buy a 4 GB module.
It's one I'll do: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0084IELNC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A32JV8HIRBYQE...
Do you think it will work?
The reason why I took it's because I used the auditor part of HP and they told me that they do not have my RAM part number more, but I could buy a different version that would work (part number: 641369-001), but they are charging my £64 4 GB which is crazy. After a quick Google told me that this module from Amazon is actually identical to a HP told me.
http://www.ramshopping.com/PN_HP-Compaq_641369-001.html
HP don't list the size of my current RAM or whatever they buy, so my main concern is that maybe doesn't fit do not in my laptop. Anyone know where I can find the size of my current size, or one, they will buy me? This way I can compare it to the new one I found on Amazon and see if it will fit in my RAM slot.
Thank you! Appreciate any help.

HP Pavilion x 360-11-k064na: 11-k064na ram
Hi, I want to replace the RAM in my HP Pavilion x 360-11-k064na but couldn't find housing. Please could let me know where it is? Thank you!
See p. 47 of the manual here.
Your model has a Celeron processor so that your memory is soldered to the motherboard plus a single expansion slot that requires the removal of the motherboard to get there. It was also under a shield. This is a fairly major surgery and will certainly affect your warranty. Please let us know if your have any questions.
If it's 'the Answer' please click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.
