Pavilion dv6833us entert. PC: no password, no disk and I have total restoration back to Vista... eek... Help!
Will be from the PC in "off" position.
But alas... perseverance is paid once more! I have created another partition, reinstalled my backup of Vista on it, and now I can uninstall Win7 Ultimate, and finally reinstall again. I'm so proud of myself and if there are other people who need to restart their flag of Hp with Vista and that you do not have your password... Put the machine, IMMEDIATELY press the ESC key and tap it quickly until the system recovery page appears... I surprised myself! Happy "put all!

My computer crashed there after getting it a few days until I had to restart in the systems. I noticed that they were the standard hidden passwords in after be réentré Network Services, I thought they were perhaps temporary passwords of Microsoft or Toshiba. I tried to enter my password but it wouldn't ' accept it. There should only the one already in the system. I tried to view the password, but it wouldn't let me. Now, I think that my password has been changed for one's systems. My system rebooted since an update and when I tried to enter my password it says that it was incorrect. I tried to enter my old password and that has not worked. I have searched everywhere for my password reset disk and can't find it. I went on the internet to see if there was anything that I could do and he said that I have to reinstall Windows 7 on laptop. I tried and the first thing he did was ask for my password that he rejected. The other user can login but is not an administrator, so she can't help me. I ran full system antivirus and it says that my system was safe and no virus found. Is any help available?
No, you don't need to a password to re - install Windows, but I don't think that such a drastic measure is necessary. Let's focus on the issue of opening of first session. There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
- Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
- Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
- Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
- Insert your flash drive USB with password key file (works only if you have taken the time to create such a key file and you can actually locate).
- Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
- Check your paper files (only works if you threw down the password somewhere.)

I have a new Dell XPS with Windows 7 Home computer. I want to create a password recovery disk. I have (1) check my CD/DVD drive works (2), I watched the video on how to create a password reset disk (3) I did the procedure successfully in the past on other computers (4) I rebooted the computer after having difficulty finding the opportunity to insert a disk in drive D, the name of the drive for my DVD / CD player. What is the problem?
The problem is that when I am asked to insert a disc in the player I'd give myself a choice is not drive D, the name of the drive to my CD/DVD drive. So over and over again once I wonder to insert the disc. I also have one of these drives you can put 4 holders memory size different from the type used in cameras and I have a DVD player, it is called D drive. Why I'm not given the option to use drive D when I'm given a choice I can insert a disc so that the password recovery disk can be created?Change the assignment of drive letter for the dvd player to one letter other than.
1. sign the computer as an administrator.
2. Insert a disk in the removable drive.
3. type computer management in the start search box and press ENTER.
4. click on disk management.
5 right-click the partition, logical drive or volume that you want to change and then clickchange drive letter and paths.
6. click on the removable drive, click it, clickchange, click the drive letter that you want to use, and then clickOK.

Password reset button and change computer name
If I do a factory restore on my computer I make another record of password reset? I use the same computer name as I did before; However, just for information, I do not change the name of the computer in the future I should make up another disc?
Thank you
Hello
Please contact the Microsoft Community.
Want to know if it is necessary to make a password reset disk after performing a factory restore. I'll help you with the problem. It's pretty simple. Let us work together towards a resolution.
Please answer the question-
(1) what is the brand and model of the computer?
(2) you try to do a restore by using the disk or image?
It is not necessary to make a password reset disk as performing a factory restore will return the computer to factory settings. You should clarify this point with the computer manufacturer, since they would be knowing the factory restore settings better than anyone.
For your question about Windows 8, I would like to have return the item-
