  I bought my son the Pavilion dv7-6157nr two years ago and he has problems with graphics on the high-end gaming, he plays. They freeze or crash. It has 8 G DDR3 SDRam, 2 generation Intel Core i7 2.2 GHz - 3.10 turbo and a radeon HD 6770Ms graphics card. Video memory it says "itchable graphics"... What does that mean?  This computer can evolve in a way that would help the graphics? Y at - it a graphics card or driver upgrade? More graphics memory can be affected?

  I'm tired of hearing that suck laptops.

  Laptops are not really designed or constructed for the high end games. I doubt that adding memory will make much difference. Given that the two most important points (CPU and GPU) cannot be updated easily, it is a losing battle.

  The only other options I can suggest are...

  (1) a HP System Recovery to return the computer to a factory like State

  (2) do a clean install of WIndows 7 and try to use latest drivers for chipset manufacturers

  (3) buy a new computer that exceeds the requirements of game

  computer, I took the hard drive was an emachine with Windows XP home. I had another computer in a place away from giving old IBM computers with no working or deleted hard drives. I put the hard drive of the computer and now its wanting a product key code. I don't know where the original XP product key is for the moment.   The license for installing XP on an eMachines computer will be an OEM is restricted to use on this computer. It cannot be moved to an another computer/motherboard.

  If you want to make true on the new computer, first check and see if this computer has a COA OEM sticker on the case.

  If so, then you have use the product key update tool to change the key and then probably activate by phone.

  If this isn't the case, then your only hope is to see if you can find a reputable provider with stock of XP Home and purchase who then use the tool to update product key with the new key.

• The overview/poster set for the flvplayback component

  I have been customizing the flvplayback component and have encountered a problem. So far, I created a custom look for the flvplayback component, with a play overlay button that loads the FLV file dynamically from flashvars successfully. Now, I'm trying to load in a static image that takes until the video is played. I look around the internet and in the Adobe forums, but have not found what I'm looking for. I thought that maybe the preview in the AS3 flvplayback component would help, but it won't apparently.
  
  I was thinking myPlayer.source = "image.jpg"; but then how to change what is the source, once someone clicks on the video? I also found fl.video.VideoEvent, but I don't know how I can use this to set the image as a source, so that someone presses the play button, or until the video plays (notice that I use a play button on overlay that appears whenever the movie is paused, so once the video starts to play (, I would not want the static preview image to find once again... until someone clicks the play button of any kind)

  The preview of the component FLVPlayback-is only a placeholder for design - which will not get exported in the final swf file unfortunately. The class itself does not posterframe features. What you need to do is to load your posterframe using the class loader as:

  Next, you need to define an EventListener to your FLVPlayback instance that removes the Posterframe when the video starts to play:

  {removePF(e:Event):void}
  removeChild (pfContainer);
  }

  If you want to have the Posterframe reappear on break, you could hide the pf instead of remove and set up a second EventListener for VideoEvent.PAUSED_STATE_ENTERED.

  Laptop model: HP Pavilion dv7-6c95dx

  I bought a new Samsung 840 Evo 500 GB SSD and going on to replace the main HARD drive. Tried to install Windows 7 Ultimate on it using the USB bootable Win 7, it loads the installation and starts ok and then he asks to load the driver for any device and gives you an analysis of the option to see if there is any storage device to select for installation. It clearly shows that it does not pick up the SSD.

  Unfortunately the bios insydeh20 V3.5 has no possibility of even check if it is detected or so.

  What do you think is the problem? The BIOS update would solve this issue? or is there any other work around that.

  Before I went ahead with the method you suggested, I tried updating the Bios with the latest version and voila... system picked up the SSD and all is well now.

  After two years, I get the message that my wireless card is "off" and I need to press the 'Wireless' to turn on. Program assistant wireless allows me to see option to turn on, but it is not clickable.

  Status light is now red, normally blue. Wireless networks do not even appear on the options for the connection, dial only.

  All the documents I can find just said before or side, but don't see anything there.

  I read a lot of posts here on decommissioning the DV7 series latpop XPP Windows.  What I've not seen my model of th is mentioned DV7 series.  I have DV7 - 1243CL.  I was able to actually cross the Windows XP installation by creating the XP installation disk with the sata drivers.  I have a few drivers installed, but I have a lot of yellow question marks in Device Manager.  Anyone know where I can get all the XP drivers for this laptop?  I got this phone 2 days ago and I spent the majority of these 2 days of combing this Council and google looking for drivers.  There isn't a lot there, so I decided to post this request.  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.  I like much this laptop, but the idea of having to run Vista is very discouraging.  In case it is useful to have the part number, it is NB234UAR #ABA.
