  I have the HP Pavilion dv7-3079wm for a few years, never had a problem until lately. the wireless button does not illuminate. I tried to restart, to update and restore. If I connect with the ethernet cable it sometimes the wireless button lights but does not stay on, I can't take outside more. Any ideas?

  Go to devices and network manager and uninstall the wirless driver restart the machine and check if the light works fine. You can also visit the HP website and update the Bios.

  If you had installed the sata driver provided, model you will need an additional step to work around the error ACPI by pressing F7 seeing (press F6 if you need to install a third-party RAID or SCSI driver displayed).

  Have you checked against viruses and malware?

  Try this step.

  Go to the command prompt run command and type

  Right click and run as administrator

  Type sfc/scannow, and then press on enter

  It will look for corrupted files and try to fix them

  Try to delete the driver from Device Manager (not just uninstall)

  Hello I desperately need help.

  I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv7-5004tx, which is about a month.

  It's a really highy specced machine, 8 GB mem 1 GB card video etc.

  The problem is that when it video or audio playe he stutter along. I sent to hp about this problem and they do not come back to me? It is currently running windows 7 64 bit home edition.

  The model number does not exist when I search the site of HP?

  I noticed on some laptop computer review sites that it was be recalled, but it was the only information I could get. No specefics.

  I would really appreciate help from anyone out there? It seems as if HP tries to hidden it? There is no information about this laptop on any one of these sites (that I could find) and model number doesent exist on their site either.

  I think I have found a solution to my stuttering audio and video playback. I disabled the HP 3d drivegaurd software and so far it seems fine. After a search in any of the HP forums support I discovered a number of people have had similar problems with various portable computers HP.

  The solution seems to be to disable the car care software? HP aware of this and they do nothing to solve the problems with the drivegaurd software?

  All you can do now is to keep checking back to see if the page has been restored.

  Has anyone lowered successfully a L50-B05D Satellite to Windows 7 drivers and everything? I took a look at the website of Toshi at THE and the only drivers for windows 7 for the battery bluetooth.

  After talking with Toshiba support, they said to go to each site component manufacturer to look for drivers that is pretty poor if you ask to be, but anyway there are a few features as Toshiba Webcam and no matter what driver Toshiba system is that guess what? is not the site of the manufacturer (Toshiba).

  Then I read the various reports on drivers Atheros and wifi dropouts so don't know everything either.

  So before I go and spend too much time on a downgrade from windows 7 - has - what someone did that? Anyone know if the material is all 7 compatible Windows or if Windows 8 pilots work?

  You are right. I checked the Toshiba download page to THE and your machine is not supported for Win7 64 bit you want to install, I guess. Do not search for drivers on other pages.
  Theoretically, you can use drivers, tools and utilities available for other models supported for Win7 but you must find what model has same or similar hardware configuration.

  If you want the list here some hardware components such as chipset, display, its LAN, WLAN and we can try to find the right drivers for you.
  With Toshiba specific stuff it shouldn't be a big problem.

  I've upgraded to a ssd after my hard drive on my faild, I clean instaled windows 64B 8.1 and instaled the drivers and I noticed 2 unknown devices in other devices, the hardware ID are:

  When I got this notebook with the HDD, I got a lot more drivers, should mention that when I got the laptop, it was under windows 8. Don't know if this info is important, but I noticed that many more readers exist with windows 8 on downloading drivers from hp support.

  In addition, BIOS was missing a few options such as the sata mode, I found to be normal in some forums but still odd, in my opinion, so mybe someone could drain that too.  The F.18 Insyde BIOS version, 02/08/2013.

  The BIOS's in most laptops nowadays have no settings to change the disk controller.

  Only a few of the premium business books can have this parameter today.

  On the Toshiba download page, choose this part number (short model) and you should be able to find all the drivers available.

• Pavilion dv7-4065dx: created a support of recovery-but it failed; Can't retry

  The original HARD drive has problems. With the operating system originally installed and my applications and files it would not conduct a CHKDSK /r

  Using Macrium Reflect, I couldn't image or clone the C partition. It kept failing due to disk i/o errors. I could save my user account and other important documents on a USB key. So, no loss of data.

  I ordered a new HARD drive and ready to make recovery disks and move everything.

  However, during the process create discs of Reovery (that I used Flash media - not disks), a message pops up saying that recovery media creation has failed.

  The flash drive was 64 GB, nine of its packaging. After the creation of recovery attempt, the flash drive is empty. No file has been written. Then, I tried to make records of recovery instead. But now when I run the app from creator of media I get the message 'media recovery has already been created for this computer. You can do this only once"(I've paraphrased... but basically - is it won't let me not try to create it again).

  So, I'm stuck. At this point, I want to just install Windows 7 Home premium (which came with the computer) and get all device drivers installed. I have the product key for HP on the bottom of the laptop. But, no way to install the operating system.

  What should I do now?

  Issues related to the:

  (1) is this a legitimate email from HP?  Note the long period between the date of the email and the date "" Advisory criticism ".

  (2) what is a "key 3 - in1" and why do I need?

  (3) what is the reference '(c04834620)', because I can't find anything on the HP Web site?

  There is a web 'view' link to the top of the email and a link on the Advisory Committee.  (I have not clicked on a link.)

  I kept a record of these links, but not included here, in case they lead to personal information about me.
