• No HARD disk detected desktop Pavilion 500 PC series

  I have a desktop HP Pavilion 500 PC series

  Serial No.:

  Prod #: H5Q30AA #ABA

  Model #: 500-016

  When I start the PC I get the error "No Boot Disk Found".  Sometimes, I get the 'start Recovery', but then the computer system hangs indefinitely.

  How can I order a new HARD drive or recovery discs so that I can burn a new image on an existing (new) HDD?

  I tried to call support, but they wanted $$ just to troubleshoot the problem.

  I'm pretty savy to replace the drive or burn a new computer image.  Can someone tell me how I can order the necessary drive or the discs?

  I was able to order the recovery disks.  It's a shame phone support staff comes to tell me this at the beginning.

  In theory, these processors AMD Socket AM2 + rated 95 watts should work. I would stay away from the 'B' models

  While I was working on my laptop suddenly it slipped out of my hand, hit the ground hard and in the upper left corner of the outer pane & Panel cracked inner edge. Basically, I want to know if it can be fixed or external panel is available which can be removed and adapt. ITZ a Hp pavilion g6 g series. Even have attached the screenshot for the same thing. Quick response on this is appreciatable.

  Just a question to those in the know.  I need to know how to upgrade the ram in my computer g series hp laptop pavilion.  Cuurently has slightly less than 4 GB, but ideally need at least 8 GB minimum.  I can do and where can I get the chipset (think that's his name) and an idea of the cost, it is also an easy task?

  See p. 54 for a photo showing how to upgrade the memory. You have the module one 4 concert and an open slot. You can add a 2 gig for sure to make 6 GB and very probably add a 4 GB to 8 gigs.

• Pavilion Desktop 6000 Series lock-up

  We have a new Pavilion 6000 series desktop and tried to install a printer HP 1300 driver of hava. After the installation, a message said that we had to restart the computer for the changes to take effect. When the system is restarted, led us to the screen liog and then after login icon 'expectation' appeared and then the screen turns blue to black. the cursor is always visible, but the screen never returns. Any ideas what's happening? Sound and HP factory driver drive in an HP computer. Machine is using W7. Tried to delete the printer through 'safe-mode' driver, but received a message that says that the uninstall program did not work and that it is not installed properly. We have no idea what to do.

  Hello I need your help I really am at the end of my know-how and really desperate.

  So I bought this PC today, I had nothing against Windows 8.1 in itself, but I wanted to use my internet and my (T-Online 6.0) software wouldn't work on Windows 8.

  So I decided to install my Windows 7. Stupid as I was I of course removed the recovery partitions while I was installing.

  As soon as I had installed W7 I noticed that my internet was not working, while a other hand worked in the internet on the laptop.

  After that, my internet worked at least partially. Partly that means my downloads kept in check different time periods. That includes downloading the latest driver from Nvidia, Adobe Flash and Windows updates. First of all, I thought it might have to do with the firewall, but the only active firewall was the Windows Firewall and disabling did not help much either.

  It can, so I took Realtek driver Ethernet isn't the right one for me?

  I'm back on my old PC now and everything works well, pourrais I switch my network of a PC card to the other, which would help?

  Or I might have a virus? Cause I have several times had the configuration of message by-Side failed when starting a program, I had the same message on my laptop, where I have my drivers through the new PC.

  I have never seen that message before and today several times... it always came when I wanted to start a Setup...

  Also the internet sites charge even more slow than on my old PC (and I sometimes get messages: content encoding error) and the Flash does not work despite the installation.

• New HP Pavilion DM1 4000 series max memory card

  I am looking to buy a new ultraportable laptop and like the look of the new series DM1-4000. However, it seems that there are two versions available in the United Kingdom - the 4004SA DM1 and DM1-4027SA. The data sheet pdf, the noticeable difference only seems to be the maximum amount of memory installed (4 GB in the 4004, 6 GB in the 4027). I don't understand not why HP would impose this limit as both have 2 user accessible so-DIMM slots - my preference would be to upgrade the memory 8 GB by replacing both of the 2 GB so - DIMMS with 4 GB (after installing W7 64-bit rather than the stock windows W7 32 bit, it comes with).

  My question is this - is correct these limits of 4 GB or 6 GB or is it just a marketing thing?

  Interesting, the Maintenance and Service Guide (PDF) DM1-4000 series indicates the memory installable max is 8 GB.

  Edit: Also noted there is a model 4020SA and 4020EA... both specify also 4 GB memory Max.

  The maintenance manual makes it clear that portable computers running AMD processor have 2 slots of memory each hold 4 GB of memory.  See Chapter 1, page 2.

  Now, the Intel PC base seems to indicate that they cannot contain only 4 GB maximum memory - affordable housing from a single client.

• Pavilion Slimline s5700 Series: is it possible to add an SSD?

  I have a s5770t on the way and I was wondering if it would be possible to add a form factor 2.5 "SSD system (i.e., having both the SSD and the original hard drive)?

  I looked on this issue online support documentation, but only came to how to replace the hard drive, not if it is possible to add a second.

  Looking how to replace a drive hard slimline here, it seems that thought it might be just enough space in the drive cage to do by moving the original hard drive upward and the installation of the SSD below... looks like there's even a slot at the bottom of the cage for this purpose.

  Here are the pictures that I have from the referenced link above that make wonder if it's possible:

  At the reception of the computer, I opened it and out of the cage to the hard drive and found there was a little more than 1 cm of headroom above the main hard drive:

  I ran into two questions:

  (1) I am able to mount the SSD with only one screw. Although the use of this computer is as a home theater PC and will not be moved, a screw is minimal sufficient.

  2) there are only two power supply (one for the HD) SATA cables and one for the DVD player, which required me to buy a splitter cable SATA power, similar to the image below:

• Pavilion 500 PC series: Taking Assistant in charge of HP

  I received a urgent notice of the HP support assistant who said that a more recent version of the help system is available.  I saw that it downloaded but that you have not installed.  Apparently, the previous version has been uninstalled and the icons on my desktop and toolbar have dissappeared.  What I have to do a system restore and try again, or is there a simpler method to retrieve the HP support assistant?  Please be gentle with jargon; I'm not that tech savvy.
