I looked errors on the bios and it says 03F0...

any ideas? Thank you

Hello

Start Device Manager Not found boot device 3F0 This indicates a potential problem with the hard drive. Run the hard drive test.

For more information, see test of a hard disk by using the Built in Self Test .

New laptop should not have this kind of problem. I recommend to replace it for others (even the same model) to the place where you bought it.

HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook (bought year 2009 I was working in Qingdao in China as corporate PC) has started making a noise when using, it started about a month there is early December.

I tried restarting several times but its abnormal continues and I am concerned about it a lot--feeling that it will be broken, sooner or later.

    Hi @SHKeum,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and the fan works not properly.

  • Start of satellite L10 fan speed and noise

My L10 cooling fan start always maximum speed, when it turns on it always burst at maximum speed (and noise) and then slow down to a speed (and slient relative). This fan start noise is very annoying (as fan departure every half hour in office work and every 15 minutes in some simple games).
I try muffler or bios settings performance they do not fix the noise and the starting speed.
Maybe Toshiba could release some bios update or patch or something to fix this? (my bios version 2.0)
Maybe this problem has the solution software thrid party?
Or the fan speed max is just a hardware problem?

    Thank you.

    Hello Albert

The same thing my Qosmio F20 and in my opinion, it is not any kind of technical problem. At the moment I'm typing this text and hear Internet radio at the same time. The cooling fan works regularly.

In my opinion, when the operating system runs several different processes running in the background and they need the CPU activity that needs to be cooled correctly. In my opinion, you should check the power settings management settings and change the performance of the processor to lower the level.

If the cooling fan runs every 15 minutes, in my opinion, it is not too often.

    Good bye

  • 810-160 Phoenix envy: envy phoenix 810-160: try to install Win10 after BSOD and format; drivers not found

A few weeks ago, I got the BSOD and could only reformat without saving. After a data recovery service ravaged my hard drive, I bought a new drive. My recovery disk is not found (my guess is the woman she pitched in one of his fits of cleaning). Of course, I have to re - install the operating system and bought Win10 home.

I plugged the USB and started the installation, but now get a message that no driver device were found. It is a pain, but it makes sense. Went to the website of HP drivers on your laptop and downloaded all the drivers, it produces for my specific model.

    Where I'm stuck:

I have a pop up that says "Windows Setup" and "Select the driver to install", with a window not populated. I plugged my USB key containing the drivers and found him - USB key (H.) I chose this drive and the folder where I placed the drivers. Click OK and I get the message "no device driver has been found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK. »

If I have the drivers provided by HP and they are not recognized, how do I proceed?

    Hello:

Make sure that you dΘmarrez from a USB 2 port.

You will not be able to install Windows from a port USB3.

If you have the W10 installation media in a USB 2 port, windows can you are looking for the sata controller driver, so see if it works...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second listed file - 1 file listed (64-bit).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/25165/Intel-rapid-storage-technology-Intel-RST-RAID-driver

Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without all records.

With the flash player and the installation media W10 plugged into the machine, boot from the W10 installation media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and I hope, W10 will install.

It will be my first question Yes plase bear. I have laptop HP Pavilion 1005sw g6 and you want to ask questions about the best processor can be handled by the motherborad, even with the memory. I was wondering on AMD Phenom II P960 Quad-Core 25W good choice? Will match without any problems?

    Thanks to advice!

    Repair manuals

Compatible AMD processors listed on the bottom of page 1 to page 2. Top of page processor is

    AMD Phenom™ II N970 (2.2 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 1333 MHz, 3.6 GT/s - Quad 35 W)

You have already disassembled it to the bottom for the jury so start at 75. The N970 will be a quick replacement for your processor. It is not soldated or even welded; It is nested. The P360 is a dual core 2.3 GHz and the N970 is a Quad at 2.2 ghz. I think you'll find that the improvement is subtle, unless you do a lot of multi-threads apps.

  • Possible bug in sv_Harmonic distortion and Noise.vi

    Hello

I ran into what seems to be a bug in distortion and Noise.vi sv_Harmonic

I call this VI into a higher level VI which is part of the box sound & Vibration tool (SVT SNR without harmonic (time) (1ch) .vi)

What is happening is that I sometimes get error 0xFFFFB1A3 (-20061):

    Error-20061 occurred at NI_MABase.lvlibine Waveform.vi:22 > NI_MABase.lvlib:ma_Trap Fgen parameter Errors.vi:1
    frequency must be<= sampling="">

    Possible reasons:

Analysis: The selection is not valid.

This error is actually produced in distortion and Noise.vi sv_Harmonic by one of his subVIs (your unique information (complex) .vi svc_Extract) although I'm not able to activate debugging for this VI so I can't dig deeper.

What seems to be the case, it is for certain fundamental frequencies that result in higher order harmonic which is located very close to Fs/2, you get the error.  I have attached a waveform and a simple VI that generates the error.  My debugging, it seems that the error occurred when the code attempts to extract the harmonic at 5119,53 Hz.  FS/2 is 5120Hz, so it must be valid, but generates an error.

    Thank you

    -mat

    Hey Matt,

I spoke with R & D and the source of this problem is we're detects peaking at exactly the Nyquist frequency for the 127th harmonic, while it should work, we get the false error. To work around the problem, you can specify the frequency range of 0-126 harmonics as seen in the image below.  Have one less harmonic should not be a big problem as the harmonic 127th is anyway in the noise.  R & D is now aware of the issue and look forward to it.   Thank you!

  • Pavilion 10-n102ne: difference between the Pavilion 10-n102ne and 10-n102na

I want to order a cover for my device (Pavilion 10-n102ne), but did not, on the contrary, I think I found a similar device (10-n102na), so I was wondering what is the difference between these 2 models, not vs na, what it means. The recovery kit works on my device.

What is the differnce between Recovery Kit or by creating a windows recovery disk, and which should I choose if I want to completely format the system and install another OS?

Another question is that how do I backup my Windows 10 activation, or is it when I install freshly a Windows 10 the appliance will automatically activate windows? is the serial imprented into bios?

    Awaiting your response

    @ChristopherED
Welcome to the Forums of HP,
    I hope you're well

If I understand correctly you want to know about the difference between the Pavilion 10-n102ne and 10-n102na.

Here is the link with the characteristics of the two products (spot the difference):

    HP Pavilion x 2-10-n102na
    HP Pavilion x 2-10-n102ne

It is not very different between the recovery kit or one created by your computer apart from the type of creation, if the media created on your computer do not work you can always get one from HP, but you cannot create a new computer because it allows only a creation of media recovery on your computer.

And the answer to your question about activation, you are right, that the activation code is printed/saved to BIOS if you do not have an option to save as.

If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below.
Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.  Have a great day!
    Kind regards

It is not possible to connect to the computer without entering the username and password...

You can create a new user account and leave the section blank password... in this case it will not lead to enter the password.

  • Pavilion Elite e9150t and monitor Dell

    Hello world!

I'm new to this forum. Two months ago I bought the Dell S2209W 22 "full HD panoramic monitor. Now, I fell in love with Pavilion Elite e9150t and want to buy it but I don't know if the monitor plugs match e9150t. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Oldxxjohn, the monitor should work fine with the elite.  Monitor connectors are standardized to work with any brand of computer.  Here is a link to the "Product information" pages for the elite:

This isn't if you can, but if you have the electronic skills to do it, I don't think it's a good idea to try.
