Pavilion G7 touch pad issue

Scrolling on the touchpad no longer works after a while. If I restart the computer it comes down for a while. I have loaded down the current drivers, and it did not help. Don't know what else to do.

Thank you!

khodgens,

Start in safe mode by pressing F8 at startup upwards and see if you still experience the problem.

This should tell us whether it is hardware or software.

After a while in SafeMode if you don't have the problem open command prompt and run the following command SFC/scannow. This should fix errors of software.

Here is a link to access the command prompt.

If you are able to remember the last time he was working, you could try a system restore.

Here is a link for the restoration of the system.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello

Pretty well, I waited the Audio service to miss because it is installed by the IDT program, but other services were in the correct state?

Try a manual update to the generic Windows driver.

Open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select Properties.  Click the driver tab and click Update driver.  Select "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.  Left click to access high definition Audio Device to highlight, and then click Next.

Did this install without error and you get any sound?

  • Touch pad issues on nine Pavilion x 360

I just bought a brand new HP Pavilion 13-a010dx x 360. After a few days the lower part of the touchscreen Tablet felt loose, especially on the left hand side. From the beginning I had problems with the mouse jumping around, Windows restore, change the size of the screen etc. I played with the sensitivity of the touch pad, off settings by attaching masking tape and all the gestures with multiple fingers, but it still occurs. It's really frustrating because there are less than three weeks, I bought the laptop.

I have to get the touch pad replaced?

  • HP Envy 15-q008tx touch pad issues

    Hi HP supports,

I have a problem with my laptop HP Envy 15 - q008tx, permanent and recurrent I bought recently. My touchpad is not working properly (the mouse pointer is very laggy and moves by itself on the screen). I brought my laptop to HP to Alexandra SG TWICE service center for repair, but the issue is never resolved.

I did some research and it seems that this problem occurred with other HP customers as well. Please see the links below.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-notebook-PC-questions/HP-envy-15-q004tx/TD-p/4423918 http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware/HP-envy-15-q004tx-touchpad-issues/TD-p/4364352/page/1

As seen on the above forum discussions, some were able to solve it using the most recent driver from synaptic. I tried this solution but it didn't work as the mouse pointer continues to lag and move by itself, which is the recurring question.

Kindly HELP me with this problem and hope to have this problem as soon as possible.

According to the message that you have recently published, I want to confirm that it is a hardware problem and I highly recommend to immediately contact HP technical support by phone for further assistance without delay to get your Notebook diagnosed and repaired by an authorized HP Certified Engineer

  • Laptop Pavilion: large touch pad on the computer restarts

    Hello

If your laptop is a Synaptics touchpad, try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type regedit and press enter

In the registry editor, navigate to the following

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

    Close the registry editor.

Open the Synaptics Control Panel and disable the touchpad as usual, save this setting, and then check if it is now kept after a reboot.

  • MacBook Pro swollen battery and touch pad don't slam

My 2011 MacBook Pro has been inactive for 3 months and when I put it in the service of the touch pad will not work correctly.

After finding the empty battery, I loaded for several hours and it took the charge.  3 days later, the load is always good.  the problem is that, while the cursor moves easily, the touchscreen function (enter) will not work.  The pad seems to be a little swollen as well.

I was in a harsh climate in Saudi Arabia for a year and had a few touch pad issues with swelling of the battery.  When I returned in North America the problem disappeared.  Now the problem is back.

I'd like suggestions on maintenance or replacement battery.

    Hi there Jaggerdog,

If I understand correctly, you want to know how to go about setting up of service for your MacBook Pro that has problems with the battery. Take a look at the Web Service Response Center page linked below, it describes the service options for your device in several countries.

  • turn off the touch pad hp pavillion

    Hello!

    I have a HP pavilion g6-2240sq with windows 7.

In the instructions that came with the laptop it says touch quickly 2 times a circle in the top left of the touch pad to turn it off. I tried, but it does not work.

I want to disable the Touchpad, cause it gets in the way of typing.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you!

    Concerning

It seems that you can run Windows 7 on a system designed for Windows 8 and you run without drivers TouchPad.

HP Pavilion g6-2240sq Notebook PC Drivers & Downloads

This does not explain it.  No worries.  This is not my personal specialty;  I have a couple of options for you.  If none of them does not work because the pilots have not features you need or the drivers don't work well on your machine, we can ask for additional help.

    Options:

    ===========================================================================

    • You might try your driver for Windows 8 running in compatibility mode.  Lot of software works in compatibility mode - if the driver for the TouchPad will be happy if this is something you can try or no--a personal choice.

Download and do not install the device:

    Synaptics TouchPad Driver 16.5.3.3 sp61882

How to install and run the drivers / software Compatilbility Mode:

Drivers and software compatibility by AttackOfZaq mode running

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try this Windows 7 driver for a similar computer of the g6:

    Synaptics TouchPad Driver 15.3.11.0 sp53851

    • Download and press twice on the installation package
    • Restart / reboot the computer after installation

For something like this, it is best if you have an external mouse attached - it's common sense and not because of something flakey on occur.  It's like the race without a disc of recovery and personal backups: you can get away with it for years and then ONE day, Poof - here you are with a blank screen and no way to recover your data.

  • Satellite C660-28 d - keyboard and touch pad problems

    Hey guys,.

In the past months, my laptop had become almost unusable.

It began with the key odd work stoppage or becomes difficult to use, but now it happened to many of them and last night my touch pad stopped working all together.

I'm not really a tech head and fight with it.

    I have a Toshiba satellite C660 28 T.

Any help would be thank you very much.
    Maybe even a factory reset?

I don't know how to proceed.

    Hello

With regard to the problem of keyboard:

From my point of view of the few sounds of keyboard described as a material problem internal related dysfunction... probably in order to solve this problem, the keyboard should be replaced... just to make sure that your internal keyboard is affected, please join the external USB keyboard and check if it works properly.
If you see any problems, the problem is no doubt by a malfunctioning internal keyboard and as mentioned earlier, you will need to replace the keyboard.

    Regarding the touchpad:

I'm not sure if the two issues are interrelated, but the touchpad can be disabled by using the function keys... I recommend you to check this... (function key details are also in the user manual)... you can also try reinstalling the touchpad drive.

Tip: this forum contains many discussions about similar problems... so I recommend you to read the recommendations posted in this community.

  • Yoga 3 Pro Touch Pad works only with Win10

This alluded autour in several other YOGA Pro 3 WIN 10 upgrades, but it should probably start splitting on each particular issue.

My upgrade to Win10 without any problem on the upgrade itself. I did the upgrade with an attached mouse and now I no longer a switch back to the use of the touch pad. Another way of saying this is that my Fn + delete button doesn't work.

I checked Synaptics for a driver, but they don't list one for Win10.

A know a work around to get the touchpad working again or a suggestion to fix?
