Pavilion p6 - 2307: upgraded GPU in Pavilion p6 - 2307a

Hi, I am interested in the upgrade of the NVIDIA GeForce 620 of GT, which comes with the Pavilion p6 - 2307. I have run Windows 64-bit 10. The specifications of my desktop (to support people no HP) can be found here:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03604360

I would get an EVGA NVIDIA GTX 1060 / 3GB, however I heard that others were unable to update their graphics in the pavilions maps, because they "locked," such as HP will not allow you to change the graphics card by default. Is this true for my office? If so, would be fixed by getting a new motherboard?

Even if I can use this GPU, there is a very close capacitor of the PCI express x 16 slot, just above it, which I think could get in the way. Maybe I could use a PCI express x 16 extender, however I do not know how the GPU would be actually physically supported, so I don't think this is a long-term solution. If I replace my motherboard, I then need to reinstall Windows? And I have to buy a new copy? My existing copy of Windows or how some would be transferred to my new motherboard?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Lachlan.

The BIOS of your desktop PC is not locked.

The EVGA graphics card is too large. It is 10.5 inches long and your motherboard is 9.6 "wide.  It is unlikely to hold in the case of the PC.

    Hello:

The graphics may not be upgraded in your PC.

The only possible change that could be done is if your GPU has 512 MB dedicated memory, you can swap the mother together with one with the same GPU, but should be 1 GB dedicated memory.

    Hardly worth it, IMO.

Can my aspire am3470-uc30p upgrade gpu?

Oh, ok. You asked if the gpu could be improved, not the cpu. Thank you for pointing this out. Of the record, this has an A8-3800 AMD inside. I don't think this can be improved more. I see that other models with processor A6, but the highest I see here is the A8 processor that you already have. The motherboard is usually designed for certain processors and it seems that it is the highest it can go. I hope this helps.

Hi everyone, I think an upgrade gpu sli with my gtx680m and hope to get some feedback to see if it is worth. Also make dell in upgrades to the United Kingdom to you? Nope dosent dell make upgrades of systems, you must buy a second card, radiator and fan, also make sure you have 330 watt power supply, or that will be necessary.

Yyou can demonstrate the machine very easily and dell has disassembly guides, its atall isn't difficult but just follow the news, it requires almost total destruction, I just did not long ago with my video for changing instructions of defective cards cards are very good and easy to follow, or may be someone who has to the computer shop do the same , following the same manual lol...

  • Pavilion n011tu: can I upgrade gpu in n011tu

    Sir / my am

I want to know that my pavilion n011tu is expandable. (gpu ram disk, etc.)

    @rajat_rj

CPU GPU - attached to the card system & integrated, is not scalable

RAM - up to 12 gb max, put another 8 GB in the second slot of exactly the same configuration as shown in the manual and preferably the same brand. I suggest putting another 4 GB instead so that you will get the boost dual-channel.

HARD drive - can be upgraded to the same form factor SSD

  • Upgrade GPU of HP Pavilion HPE h8-1070uk desktop PC

Hey everybody would be able to tell me which graphics cards are compatible with

HP Pavilion HPE h8-1070uk desktop computer? I tried to install Asus gtx 750 TI unsuccessfully as the phones was not compatible due to the bios, and now I don't know what card to get.

    Please help, thanks.

You are welcome.  I'm happy to help you.

The original video card has a switch that changes the EUFI after-effects.  Your computer has the Legacy BIOS.  The card was recommended to several members of the forum and there has been no reports of problems.  It's good that you're running Win 7.

If you are uncomfortable with the card you can contact MSI Tech Support for help.  They are the real experts on their products and will be happy to help.  It's good to let them know that you're new on the subject of video cards.  They will understand.

  • HP pavilion 500-223: HP pavilion upgrade GPU 500-223

What I want to do is update my GPU, but I have a few questions. Right now I'm planning on getting a r9 380 2 GB compact itx card http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814202151 (6.7 ") because the case is quite small. But for $40, I could get a 4 GB version http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814127878&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-Mobile&cm_mmc=K... but it would be longer than 10.5 inches. Is it possible to say how much room there is a card without opening the case? My second question is on the power supply. How many watts do I need? Finally, would be my (i3 4130) CPU bottleneck GPU? And if so, is an i5 4690 k compatible with my motherboard? Thank you.

Well I finally decided to just open the case and it seems that I can fit a GPU up to 12 "through the expansion bays.

  • HP Elite-410f: upgrade GPU in Hp Elite-410f

    Hello

I am on a very tight budget (living off scholarships) and want to upgrade the Hp Elite-410f my grandfather bought me in 2010 and use it to play as long as possible (instead of dipping into my savings to build desktop game I don't need).

My concern is energy consumption. Hp Elite-410f comes with a 300w power supply and the stock Radeon HD 5570, it comes with is advertised as 43w. I'm looking at the 750ti GTX (60w) or the 950 GTX (75 - 90w).

Are there opportunities on a pre-built HP desktop computer, I have the power available to run the GTX 950? Or I would be sure and take the 750ti. I prefer the 950 if possible because it overwrites the 750ti when playing at high resolution, but I'm just happy to be upgraded at all and want to understand my options.

And, is there any other low power GPU about $180-220 you suggest that I check?

Thank you for the help, I appreciate it!

    Hello

    I prefer Nvidia.

The GT 640 GDDR5 requires a 300 Watt power supply and consumes of 49 Watts.

The AMD HD 7750 also requires a 300 Watt power supply and consume 75 Watts.

    Your choice.

  • Upgrade GPU on Qosmio X 500-11 G?

    Hey!

I have a monster Qosmio X 500-11 G but a recent Simulator of the mine will not play right, there's no texture trully shown, all transparent. It's mainly because of my obsolete nVidia GTS 360 M, which does not support DirectX11. It looks that my Monster needs a graphics card brand new, that will easily support DirectX11 as GTX500 or higher.

Any ideas how I can get a new GPU integrated into my Qosmio?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

  • Upgrade gpu on motherboard Angelica 2 problems

    Model: HP-h8-1414

    OS: Windows 8

    GPU: gtx 640 or 660

Hello. I recently purchased this machine and upgraded to a 750w PSU and bought a 640 GPU gtx to upgrade. I also have a gtx 660. Whenever I try to install one of these cards, the machine starts booting and then stops, power light flashes yellow and I heard 6 beeps. The reinstallation of the 640 several dozen times, I finally got to start, but without any screen until Windows 8 logo appears. Two nights ago, I tried to install the 660 and could never go beyond the sound stage. Now, I can't even the 640 to start. Sounds right. Anything other than sound signals. Any advice?

What brand is the gtx, 640 and 660 GTX?

Try going to the manufacturer's web support to see if they have a VBIOS update for your video card that allows Windows 8 support.

The problem you see is likely to be linked to the new secure boot environment. A member of HP's Expert said that EVGA VBIOS updates available on request.

You might consider readingthis article from HP on the subject.

  • Upgradable GPU? Graphics for the next models?

    Hello!

I think to buy a satellite M40 that precisely fits my budget. The only problem is the X 300 128 MB graphics card which is in fact the slowest in ATI series x is there a possibility or the possibility of an update of the graphics card or through society, either with an authorized service provider? I know that there is the X 600 in some models that would be a good change from the X 300. The X 300 and X 600 will be available/expandable so that they can be changed? (I know that sounds a little crazy, but some other laptop producers are already doing something similar. But I will not buy another laptop...)

My second question is about the GPU by Toshiba next models that are coming in the next few months. Does anyone know if Toshiba will keep the X 300 on their models, or if they use a card more strong as the X 600, X 700, or even X 800? I prefer wait a month or so to buy something that I regret buying after a few months.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Antonakis

[Edited by: admin on 30 June 05 07:22]

    Hello Antonakis

Sorry, but the replacement of the graphic card or same CPU is not possible because the graphics card is fixed on the main map. You can upgrade just RAM or HARD drive.

One of my friends has the same unit. It's a beautiful machine with display fabulous and beautiful design. If you buy, be careful because tools & utilities CD is not available, and you can create alone. To create your own start the Toshiba Assist and go to Protect & Fix.

Sorry but I found no information on some future project and new hardware components that can be used in new models of laptops.

    Good luck!

  • Upgrade GPU on Satellite P200-13N

    Hello everyone

I just got a caled "new" machine Toshiba Satellite P200 13-N with the following specifications:

    Windows Vista Edition home premium
    2 GB Ram 667 MHZ
Processor Intel core 2 duo 1.73 ghz
NVIDIA Geforce 7600 go with 578 MB of ram

Now I just read the info that he comes out of the new nvidia Geforce 8700 GT graphics card. Can I put my card graphic to the GPU or not because it's a PciE card

    Thanks for any advice :)

No, certainly not possible. The graphics chip is more often soldered to the motherboard and it of not possible to delete or replace it!
Especially the whole motherboard must be replaced!

You should know that the CPU or GPU upgrades or replacements are virtually impossible on laptops!
Therefore, I use my desktop PC for games because it is very easy to upgrade the hardware. And I only use my laptop for my work!
