Pavilion p6-2387ea: win7
Hello I have just downgraded to win 8.1 64-bit to win 7 64 bit but when on win 7i have no drivers for usb 3 and some on the internet, plus any help would be great
Hello:
You should be able to use all the W7 x 64 drivers and this model on your software.
Do not use the BIOS or firmware files well.
Your model uses the Original AMD Unified Graphics Driver from the GUI.
If the driver on installation errors, let me know and I'll give you the instructions to work around the error.

My wife has an HP Pavilion DM1 is a slug running and I want to do a clean install of Win7 without all the bloatware that is come upon her, but realized that this little book is not a Microsoft COA top sticker to do the reinstall. HP did ship of this machine without an activation code Win7 on it? If Yes, is there a way I can get the code to make a * clean * install or should I just use the system recovery disk to go back to the factory? I have a few old machines COA stickers, but did not burn one if I had to. Any help/info is appreciated.
You are the very welcome.
The recovery disks should be pre-activated and there should be no need to enter a product key.
But you will need to uninstall the bloatware that will be reinstalled, unless your recovery disks for a reduced recovery.

Hello
I have a HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p219nt which has been reinstalled with Windows 7 (it came with 8.1)
I can't find the Driver for the Touchpad for Win7 OS. Is it true that it does not support Win7?
Thank you

Try the following directly from Synaptics driver.
Be aware that it won't give you all the features that was present in the newer operating system drivers.

Win7 home premium update pro can it be done on a Pavilion P6210F running win7 home premium?
Hi I'm new as of today and would like to know if I could go win 7 home premium to Pro on my Privilion
Computer Office P6210f. It would be win7 pro because I really like win 7 and not Win 8 so far.
Thanks for any help.
Frank
Yes, you can upgrade to Pro. Just buy the Pro version with license key. You can't even run the Windows dvd. Try Windows Anytime Upgrade in your departure, all programs Menu. Select "Enter an upgrade key" and enter your new license key. This should automatically unlock the additional features of the Pro version. In the case where that it fails, you can of course run your dvd.

Hello:
Sometimes, you need to install the sata drivers in order for W7 install correctly.
See if it works...
Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).
Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without all records.
With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.
After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.
You should now see the storage driver files listed.
If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.
Follow the prompts and I hope, will install W7.

Hi all
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on my daughters computer and everything works well except that when I try to connect to the router says the Ethernet driver is missing. When I Check Device Manager it shoes the Ethernet controller driver is missing. I tried everyway I know to find the driver, but so far nothing.
I have worked with many computers over the years and a Tech with MS beta-tester for more than 15 years and I've never met such a problem before. I have the same Windows operating system installed on my HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1205z and had no problem.
I changed cables ethernet 4 times thinking it could be the cable, but so far nothing solves the problem.
I'm hoping someone here can help me find the driver for the s5-1000z so that we my daughter computer connected to the router. Any suggestion or help will be greatly appreciated. She needs the computer upward and are working on Internet before school starts so that it can make its online courses.
Thank you. :-)
Hello:
The card mother sheet for this model indicates that it has embedded technology from Realtek: chip Ethernet RTL8105E-VC.
The second driver in the list on the link below should work.

HP Pavilion dv7 - 6163cl Win7 Home Premium HDD half of capacity
Hello, just got my HP Pavilion dv7 - 6163cl Entertainment Notebook PC and it works like a charm, but I had this issue when I was checking the system, it displays only 1 HDD with 495 GB (C when he was supposed to be 1 TB (2 x 500 GB accordly to the web page where I got it) also when I run the HP Support Assistant it shows 2 lines on the section or hard drives) :
Hard drives
Hitachi HTS547550A9E384 (465,76 GB)
Hitachi HTS547550A9E384 (465,76 GB)
So... does really have 2 HARD drive? If this is the case, then how can I use 2nd HARD drive, or to be visible in the my computer window?
Also... I tried to play games and everything worked fine, but I installed the game "Amnesia: The Dark Descent ' and it stops instantly, I read on the web and they talk about updated drivers or uninstall... Could someone tell me what to do to get this game to work? Thanks in advance.
Go to the computer in the start menu and right-click on it and select 'manage '... Select disk management and see if you see 2 hard drives here. You may need to assign a drive (aka "mount") letter the second drive by right-clicking and selecting "assign drive letter" in order to access it through Windows Explorer. Frankly, HP should have done that at the factory, but if the drive is present and active, you should still be able to do it yourself. It will look something like this you should have a disk of the same size 0 and a disc 1. Your Windows drive will be more sections (partitions) and the second or the storage disk is probably just a large partition:

I've got HP P7-1534. I installed Windows 7 (64-bit). According to the instructions of this group, I installed the drivers for the HP P7 - 1297c. Everything works great EXCEPT USB. I tried SP57465.exe. Still not get USB working. Break suggestions?
Hello:
If you are having problems with USB 3.0 controllers on your model, please try this and you should be fine.
First install the amd chipset driver and restart. You want the first file on the Web page.
http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows 7-64
If they do not directly install USB 3.0 controllers (as you can see USB 3.0 drivers are part of this file), then download and install both of these drivers:

Pavilion Slimline with Win7-64: is finalvbto legitimate or Trojan horse?
Got a Slimline S5713W.
Children has managed to acquire a lot of 'pup's (potentially unwanted programs) on gamesites.
MBAM has dealt successfully with them.
MBAM has also this indicator...
\hp\finalvbto.exe (Trojan.Bat.Disabler)-> no action taken.
My question is if it is a legitimate part of HP software and a false positive of the MMFA,
or should I have MBAM delete this too?
Thank you.Solution came from another Board...
nosirrah @ MMFA confirmed that the flag of the MMFA was a false positive.
Here's the thread on their site.

Pavilion HDX 9480eg (same as HDX9300) and Win7 64?
Hi all
first of all: I used the search function of this forum, but I can't find anything that could help to me... Sorry...
My question:
Are there background with 2 years, HP Pavilion HPX9300 and win7 32 or 64-bit? I saw the list of HP that tells me that my phone is not supported with the official hp support. but this does not mean that win7 won't work, it?
I do a lot of video editing and want to get a 64 bit OS, so that I can use some aditional GB of RAM...
Win 7 64 would be optimal 4 ME... but is it optimal for my laptop, too?
HP Pavilion HDX 9480eg
Intel core 2 Duo 2, 40Ghz
nVidea GeForce 8800 M GTS
Currently 4 GB of Ram (would get 8GB)
It would be nice to get comments to my question. THX
Your HDX machine will work fine with W7, W7 upgrade advisor to run and he will confirm.
If you do a clean install with this guide, your Vista drivers will work. Your NVIDIA driver should be available directly from NVIDIA. First, install your Chipset driver.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/OperatingSystems/SS/Windows-7-clean-install-part-1.htm
Save your SwSetup file on drive "C" as it has your pre-installed software that is not available in W7.
Just as a precaution, I recommend that you create recovery discs in case things go wrong. Using Sony DVD + R
When I got my HDX machine, it took four tries before everything worked, when I followed the guide I gave you, I managed.
This is a thread for your hotkeys to work, which is the hardest to do things.
http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/operating-systems-and-software/HDX16-buttons-in-Windows-7/TD-p/154571
See also this Cheryl guide on installing W7.
You have 4 GB of RAM which is a lot to run 64-bit and your video editing software will work fine with that. You can put two sticks of 4 GB of RAM if you want, but you won't see any improvement. In addition, they are quite expensive.

How to use system recovery after OS change to the g4 pavilion 1305 to the
Hello
My name is SUNIL GUPTA
I have laptop model g4 1305-UA Pavilion, preinstalled OS Win7 Home Basic 64 Bit.
I was changed for Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit with clean install.
And now I want to reinstall Windows 7 64 Basic Home Edition.
Am that I reinstall with my recovery disks or not?
and if so please tell me...
Hello
You can use the following method to create your own family Windows 7 Edition installation disk basic 64-bit.
Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).
An example of a COA label can be seen here.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC. However, it not there no download directly available for Windows 7 Home Basic Edition, so you'll need to download another version (one will do, but the link below is for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit - the source is Digital River).
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
For the key on your label of COA to work, you must now use the method described in the following link to convert this ISO to an all-version Installer.
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/85813-Windows-7-universal-installation-disc-create.html
Once that is done, use an application like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.
Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.
http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx
You could possibly need for your laptop can be found, additional drivers and software here.
Best regards
