Pavilion p6000 series p6633w: video card

I know that my system has a pci 2.0 x 16 slot, is the 3.0 pci card work?  Sapphire Radeon R7 240 2 GB DDR3 HDMI/DVI-D/VGA with Boost PCI-Express-11216-00 - 20G graphics card

Video PCI Express 3.0 x 16 cards retro-compatible with PCI Express 2.0.  However, I am not sure the card you want to buy will work on your computer if it requires UEFI in the isntead of a (standard) the legacy BIOS motherboard.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid_October 2012.  I believe that you have already updated the PSU power SUPPLY or intend to update.  I suggest that you contact Sapphire Support in order to ensure that it will work.

Thank you for the additional information.

The power supply unit (PSU) is a standard ATX.  You can use any brand.  As a precaution, I suggest to measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.  I love Corsair products.  In addition, a modular power supply is good for cases of average size.  You can only use the cables needed to allow better air circulation in the case.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will allow more power over the maximum use.

    Hello

Consult thispublication of documentfor general information on the selection of a video card.

I would not recommend an upgrade of the processor until you install a new video card.  Upgrading the CPU may be an unnecessary expense.

The P6000 PC has only a power supply 250 watt so that will have to be replaced.  I would look at the Corsair CX600 because it has the power and the appropriate physical dimensions.

Ultra settings can be a little complicated depending on the game.  I use the NVIDIA GTX 460 with some modern games (COD, BF3 and HAWX 2) with parameters utra without problems.  Right now, I recommend the Sapphire HD 6870.  The 6870 is better than the 460, so you shouldn't have any problems.

  • HP Pavilion P6000 series (MN: p6710cs-m)

    Hi guys

I have some problems with this desktop computer. This PC is 1.5 years. I bought an external graphics (GV-R725O5-2gi), but the new GC will not work. I ran the card on an old PC of 5 year with maybe end of 1 PCIe slot that it runs. I have suspected that the card is broken. Stock of 300W power supply, I changed to new 450W. Next step was instalation of the HW on the motherboard, then turn on the PC. This card has no external power supply. The fan on the card works. The PC does not beep ani signals but the screan is black and the PC is no W7 boot. I also have an old (Inno3d GF 7300GS) card for testing. I don't know what interface PCIe gen is the GF 7300 GS but the amd's PCIe Gen 3. The PC works and the start-up of W7 with the GF 7300 GS. I chcked the BIOS for Setup, but it is bad for the config. I turn off power save mode or something like that enable this opt: pic.  My first idea was compatibility question maybe update BIOS version. But when the GF 7300 GS runs that the BIOS is not the problem I think. It is possible that I have to upgrade the BIOS? my version of the bios (2.10.1206) and the site of product extra have a new version (7.15 A Rev. 3.02 M).  Slot PCIe on the PC is 16 X, but the card is only 8 X I have search for PCIe compatibility issues, but CESP 1 standard to the most recent must be compatible. In some cases the PCIe 1 may have some problems. You can put a 3 PCIe Card in a PCIe 2 motherboard and it wil run. Here is the motherboard spec. I think that this configuration should work but I don't know where is the problem. I don't know what to do.  I also read a coment in this forum that the older generation of AMD cards worked well on HP Pavilion P6000 serias. Can you help me???

    PEAK.

    Thanks, Ervin

Based on specifications, your HP p6710cs is four years old and has a PCIe Gen 2.0 x 16 slot. The card you are trying to use is that GEN 3.0 PCIe may require a mother UEFI based that supports a certain level of specification. Please try to older pre-R7/R9 map as the HD 6000 / 7000 series.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s3720f: what video card should I buy?

I want to add a new video card (not too expensive) for my old HP Pavilion Slimline s3720, but I do not know what video card to buy, because there are far too many choices. I know that the new card must be low profile with a half support so it can fit into the currently available in the motherboard slot. I hope that Conect my Dell UltraSharp 1708FP 17-inch LCD flat monitor VGA on this new card to get the best resolution and graphics. Can someone give me a recommendation indicating which card to buy? Please be specific. Thank you.

The slimelines should never require a lot of video.  Your 2008 model circa was Vista.  Updates drivers ended with WIN 7. It's a miracle you got WIN10 without drivers available is another story.  Another factor is the skinny 160W PSU. That limits your options if you have a.  The common consensus is that either.  added heat from a graphics card, the likely additonal to a new power supply really outweighed costs.

  • Pavilion g6 2303su: update video card?

Hello.  I'm here to ask you, could I upgrade my video card on my HP Pavilion 2303su g6?  As graphics card Radeon HD 7670 M becomes older and older, I was wondering if I can get my video card to a newer model of AMD or Nvidia even?

And also if I might well want to ask you if it is possible to update my video card, to give me some recommendations or the same list of compatible video card for my laptop designs.

Any help would be really greatly apreciated!

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable/replaceable/extendable 'cards' in your noteobook.

(GPU) graphics cards, are chips that are welded and their circuit integrated on the motherboard.

The only way to update the graph on your laptop would be to replace the motherboard.

But as the graphical installation program has your laptop is the best that HP offered for this model, there is no motherboards available with better graphics.

R7 of the Radeon HD 200 series video cards requires a single PCIe power connector 6 pin. Your office has not been handed over with a power supply that feeds it, then you must also upgrade the PSU. Choose a nice modular unit by a manufacturer as a Corsair. Thanks for the quick response. My computer is...   HP Pavilion p6654y desktop PC.

You are welcome!  Thank you for the additional information.

As I suspected, your computer has a standard BIOS.  This means that you can buy an older video card.  I love EVGA products.  I suggest to find a card you like and contact Tech Support from the manufacturer (Technical Support EVGA 1-888-880-3842) in order to ensure that it will work on your computer.  It is the best way I found to do not have to make a return.  The last card done EVGA used a standard BIOS was their 640 GT.  Some of them have a update for the VBIOS that allows them to run with a standard BIOS.

Now for the power supply (PSU).  I love Corsair products.  I normally recommend at least 500W.  This allows for future updates.  A modular power supply is good for smaller cases.  Simply use the required cables, allowing a better air circulation.  You must measure the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  All connectors must be compatible.

  • Pavilion NC768AA #ABA: HP Pavilion model. a6719f new video card with the new power supply?

    Hello!

So, I won money to buy (hopefully) a new video card!

    However, I have a problem.

I don't know which one to get!

SO, someone please, please recommend a video card for intermediate level games.

(My budget is less than $280)

    My PC has stock everything.

Thus, it was purchased as it was when you would get everything first he.

Yes, I need also a new power supply that is included with my budget.

    Thank you!

    Revionion, welcome to the forum.

I'd be happy to help you in your choice.  The main problem is, recent video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS to legacy.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The latest maps not requiring UEFI were the series GTX 640.  However, MSI has made a card that has a VBIOS hybrid which can operate with a BIOS.  The best thing to do is to choose a video card you like and contact Technical Support from the manufacturer to ensure that it will work on your computer as it is almost 7 years old.  This will save you problems.  They are the experts on their cards.

I like Corsair power supply units (PSU).  I suggest at least 500W.  This will give you plenty of power for any card that works in your computer.

If you have any other questions, let me know.  I'll be happy to help you.

  • Pavilion p7 - 1226 s video card upgrade

    Summary:

I want to improve my system with the highest rated PassMark reference video card that my system will support with my current 300W power supply.

    Details:

I bought a new Pavilion p7 - 1226 s last month with the intention of upgrading the system with more memory, another hard drive internal and a new card video - over time. I'm not a power user; I just want to keep my skills in the game with these actions.

The last system I upgraded has been focused on the PCI so I was excited about the capabilities of PCI-E 2.0 of this system for the video upgrade. I considered the 300W PSU to be of sufficient size to allow a decent upgrade. I went to Nvidia.

I believe that the integrated video (HD 2000?) in my system of registers somewhere between 245 and 375 refers.

The Geforce GT 430 and 440 again specify a power of 300W. Their notes are respectively 667 and 830.

I wonder if my system will support these cards.  So, I write this way. If it is not, my question then becomes "what video card my system will support? Double width would be perfect. There seems to be a lot of physical space of the card.

I think that most video cards specify not only power but rated current. These current ratings can be anywhere from 12 to 22 amps at 12 volts amps. I was also unsuccessful in discovering what could be the p7 power supply 12V rated current.

I searched this forum briefly and I am impressed with many of the answers. I know there are some really smart people out there who can help me. Thank you in advance.

My target price on sale at Fry Electronics is about $75. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks again

    Hello

The amperages are additive for the dimensioning of power which only has some relationship to what the video card needs.  Video card manufacturers want to head because they don't really know how everyone PC is configured and just how hard the graphics card will be used.

I change this link for the HP of the above items. I was never in this place so I do not know how the address was mutilated.

Also far than the 545 NVIDIA goes, stick with the card HP as it is designed for a 300 Watt power supply.  I suspect that the retail sector 545 work but safe, stick with the HP 545.

  • Pavilion 500-339: update video card for a 500-339 Pavilion

I have a HP Pavilion 500-339. AMD A10, processor 3.5 GHz quad-core with 8 GB of RAM, running windows 8.1, 64-bit. It came with a Radeon R7 240 video card. I know that physical space is limited inside the computer case, but what could I upgrade to that would fit? While not the biggest PC-gamer out there, I do not play a bit and I would like the best features. Thank you!

    Hello

Without replacing the power supply, the NVIDIA GTX 750 TI would be an excellent choice. Choose a model that does not require a 6-pin auxiliary power connector.  Open your Pc and do some measures so that you know for sure that the GTX model 750 will be fit. Most should adapt to certain expectations.  Know what the return policy is before you buy.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

No there is no way to upgrade your video card. This isn't a card at all but just a chip soldered to the motherboard. The video card, you have found and ask the subject for a very expensive high-end gaming machine which has the equivalent of a pci-e slot on the motherboard called MXM laptop. Your laptop has such without crack and no place to plug such a card.
