    I hope that's what you're asking.

However, I think I found my problem.  The usb 3.0 drive flash I thought, I had, is not a usb 3.0 and usb 2.0.  I have had them buy a new usb 3.0 flash drive today and at the same time check the one I had and it is a usb 2.0 port.  The system is functional with buying one today, not as fast as I was hoping but much more fast anway.

Some how, some way the first usb is signed and sold as a usb 3.0 with blue insert bit? Now, I will try to get this resolved.

I read your post on how you're looking to install an expansion card USB 3.0 on your desktop computer, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

According to the specifications of the product for your motherboard, there are:

    • A PCI Express x 16 Slot
    • Two PCI Express x 1 Slots and
    • A PCI Slot

You should be able to upgrade your system with a USB 3.0 card, as long as it meets the above requirements.

  • Pavilion 500 adding hard drive

Bought a desktop Pavilion 500 computer last week.  Kind of disappointed with the documentation that comes with it, also disappointed with the documentaion on this site, just seems to have two manuals supplied with the computer, PDF files (but, maybe I'm not looking in the right place).  Nothing in the documentation provided with your computer that shows what the computer looks like inside, no info at all on the update of the computer (adding another hard drive - what memory?).  I open the computer and take a look to see what is inside, but the manual says that if I open the computer and break the security seal I certify that the computer was working properly until I tried to upgrade the computer, and if the security seal is broken it could screw up my warranty.  I think there must be space for another hard drive, but who knows.  I would like to install the IDE of my old computer hard disk, do not know if this is possible.  I know I can get a disk enclosure and connect it to a USB port, but prefer to install the drive in the computer (may be screwing up the warranty...).  If an IDE drive may not be installed on the computer, as it is, maybe some sort of a SATA to IDE adapter or card would work.  Anyone have any ideas?

According to respondents, this adapter converts IDE drives to Sata port.

    Hi all

Yesterday all of a sudden the USB ports are not read.  I have cameras and use a data transfer cable or a card reader to transfer to the office.  Now they do not read.  Tried the front and back of the usb ports.   However, the optical mouse that uses a usb device works.   I don't understand how the mouse works and the purse strings of data transfer and the readers aren't.

    Help!

Update: I did troubleshoot a HP check and update driver.  The screen messages

USB root hub: this device does not work correctly.

    The current tab:

    Generic USB Hub (6)

    1 port available

    Power required: 0mA

    Solved.

I've narrowed the problem to the camera. Very strange. The camera will take pictures and display them on the screen. But something is happening internally where the image will not transmit or transfer it via a usb device.

I have another device with a transfer device and it works. So it seems I have to buy a new digital camera. BTW, it is a Nikon S2800 - not recommended.

You are the very welcome, Shane.

I really messed up on this one there...  I looked the model specifications and not the hardware ID you have posted. The specifications indicate that your laptop is material AMD, Intel not.

I tried to install several drivers but nothing helped. Last I tried is the expandable controller from intel, but when I try to install I get a message "your computer is unresponsive to the minimum requirements of the system.

    Hello:

First, install the AMD chipset driver and restart.  You want the file size of 49.7 MB download.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows 7-64

Then download and install the drivers for the USB 3 ports to work both.

After you have installed the chipset driver and rebooting, use this ethernet driver... a 3rd on the list.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1451 USB 3.0 and Bluetooth drivers for Windows Server 2008 R2

I bought a HP Pavilion p7-1451 so I might have a machine that is affordable, yet powerful enough to put a server software development environment on (I'm a software engineer).

It came with Windows 8, but I need Windows Server 2008 R2, I own through an MSDN subscription.  I did what I always do in these cases, re-partioned the hard drive, re-formatted and installed the new operating system.

I have almost all devices work fine, but it still does not recognize the USB 3.0 ports and Bluetooth device.  I looked everywhere but could not find something that works.  Whatever it either from the HP site is targeted for Windows 7 or 8 and trying one of those, it tells me "your system does not meet the requirements of the operating system" and MSI publishes all the drivers for this particular motherboard (that I can find anyway).

Motherboard: MSI MS-7778, also known under the name of: MSI 2AEO version 1.0

    BIOS: FRIEND 8.12

Here is the list of "other devices" in Device Manager that Windows does not recognize:

    BCM20702A0

    (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller

    (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller

    Bluetooth device ID: USB\VID_0A5C & PID_21F1 & REV_0012

    USB Controller device ID: PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & SUBSYS_2AE0103C & REV_03

Windows doesn't always recognize them after allowing him to look on the internet.

I googled everywhere and I'm not getting anywhere.

    Does anyone have advice?

Any chance that this could be linked to the BIOS?

I'm not having any chance to find a BIOS download for this motherboard either.

    Any help is very appreciated!

  • Pavilion 17-g192dx: USB Ports not recognized

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion 17-g192dx that's installed with Windows 10 factory. I decided to give the new operating system a go, but was overall very satisfied with his overall performance and updates of buggy. Not wanting to give up the new machine, I decided to bring it back and oldie but a goodie - Windows 7. I got a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium lying around so I gave a go and installed the operating system. I got the internet running successfully and in no time most of my drivers have been installed. The problem that I face now is that the old BONES will not work with my USB ports. I do not use a hub and have almost exauhsted the drivers for this Web site section. If someone wants to kindly point out how I could go about fixing this issue, any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not as interested to get back to Windows 10. It is too slow for daily use (ma) and buggy.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello:

For the first unit, download and install the 2nd driver on the list from the link below.

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1 & PNid = 14 & PFid = 7 & Level = 5 & Conn = 4 & DownTypeID = 3 & getdown = false

For the 2nd device, install you the driver of USB3 has not ended.

See if it works.  Download and unzip the driver Intel USB3 lasvegaswireman posted.  Do not run it.

Go to Device Manager and click on the USB hub root of problem.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the Intel USB driver you have unzipped.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Then restart the PC.

The third device... you run the patch from the link below to activate the TPM on W7 2.0 device.

  • Pavilion slimline s3760in: usb ports and the Internet connection

    Hello

I use my hp pavilion slimline s3760in pc for about five years. Recently my hard drive failed and I had to replace.

Everything was going well until my pc stopped recognizing all the same usb ports in BIOS mode on many occasions (he only recognized usb keyboard sometimes). Finally I have reset factory. The Usb ports now generally work fine, but now when I connect to the internet, none of my browsers can disply any page, even other programs cannot connect to the internet, although it shows that I am connected to the internet.

Is it a hardware problem or just windows?

    Hello again @vr46,

Thank you for the updated information. I'm you provide a HP support document: Broadband Internet Connection to a dispute (Windows Vista), which has the troubleshooting steps you need to solve the problem you are now facing. I suggest that you take the time to go on the document and apply the suggested steps.
