Pavilion s5710f upgrade graphics card

I want to update the graphics card in my Pavilion Slimline s5710f.  It appears, reading of the form it is possible to upgrade, but I can not know what card would be a good choice.  It has a Radeon 3000 installed, and I know that the power supply is 220 watts.

I'm not a gamer, but I would like to play the new Diablo 3.  According to Blizzard my computer specs are ok, but my graphics card will probably be a problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

> There an installed Radeon 3000
It is the integrated chipset, see your listing:
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02627981

With your diet, it will be difficult to find a graphics card that works.
And with your slimline box, it will be difficult to find a better diet, since you cannot use a standard PSU.

I can only tell you the same thing that other users here - a slimeline is no pc gamer - and you can't make a good.

Try to reduce the graphics settings of the D3 and test if it will run.

Here are the specs on your computer (Circa 2010) with standard 300W PSU. Your limited to a 60W card, based on the existing GT220 footnote 58W.  Did not want to push your 300W PSU.

The question most limit is your system is WIn7, so your not able to use the more advanced cards.  Only cards from the series GTX 700 or less (EXCLUDING the 750 GTX) would work.  Personally, I would say an EVGA 660 (140W), but you need a minimum 500W power supply. Again, I would sCorsair 600CX series (Please note that the depth of the SIZE of 5.5 "). The 550CX is more in depth. Not a good choice for your case. As for the CPU, the link on your system reflects various improvements to CPU chip and the limitation of 2.93 GHz.  Hope that helps?

    Laptops are unlike desktop computers.

Desktop PC have an open architecture that make the relatively simple upgrade.

PC laptop and portable access to the e/s available and put at level of the slots through the doors of the inspection and often almost total disassembly.

Laptops are also limited by the BIOS and the physical attributes systemboard on the video modules and wireless can be used for upgrades.

A BIOS of the laptop has a white list of the modules that are acceptable. If a module wireless or video is not on the whitelist, then it cannot be used. If a notebook THAT BIOS found during the POST (power on self test) as a module not on the white list has been installed it will warn you and it won't start the laptop computer in the operating system installed.

If money is no object you can update the video through an exotic external graphics solution like Vidock Gfx.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1030 graphic card upgrade help

OK, so I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1030, and the graphics card is crap, I need to update something much better.

I know that I'll probably need a new power supply too, if anyone knows a good combo?

Also, where can I find the old graphics card and POWER supply in order to remove and replace?

I'm playing BF3, so it must be good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Zxcvbnm0, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications of the computer, there is only the embedded video.  It is integrated in the motherboard, so you cannot remove it.  It will be automatically disabled when a discreet card is installed.  Integrated video is never good for video intensive games or other programs.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you more choices of video cards.  You must measure the current PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Normally, I buy my parts from Newegg.

Here is an example of a good food:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139028

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I recommend you to stay at 9 "long or less.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

Here is an example of a video card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150561

The PSU is where the power cord is connected.  If you do upgrades, it will help mark the wires of the PSU to make sure that you connect them correctly.  The connectors of the motherboard must be labelled, and more, the wires on the new power supply.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps

  • Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm processor and upgraded graphics card.

    Hello

I should probably start by listing the specs of the laptop. So here it is:

    Model: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm

    Series: [personal information]

    Product: C6T29EA #BED

Processor: Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz)

    Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics card: GeForce GT 630 m 2 GB memory

    OS: Windows 7 x 64

So the question, well not really a problem, but recently I have noticed that my laptop has been strugling to run the latest games coming out to the point where some games even on setting him down still have very low FPS.

Then I thought to replace my CPU and graphics card because these two seem to be the issue.

Now, I got the user guide but it was provided on a CD while my laptop is not a CD ROM  So, I have been unable to determine what kind of a slot processor use my laptop.

So I was wondering if anyone of you could help me determine if I can replace the processor and the graphics card on my laptop and if I can provide some suggestions to what I should look at, since I read that chaning a CPU on a laptop is sticky bussines.

    Thank you in advance.

Also if there is more information needed please tell me so that I can add.

Please have look at the below information shown for the processor upgrade

  • Pavilion 500-112eo graphics card upgrade

The 500-112 OA have an AMD Radeon HD 8570 + 8670 D Dual Graphics. I have not found it slow until my wife bought a fancy office with Geforce GTX 770.

I didn't know until reading the plug of envy and 770 GTX how much power needs a modern graphics card.

And I immediately saw that it was not an option for the 300w PSU in the Pavilion.

After a little research I found the ti Geforce 750 to have low power consumption if it works with a power supply 300 w?
I will notice no change in speed graphic?

What would you say of the ti 660?

If anyone has recommendations to improve the graphics please share.

    Hello

The NVIDIA 770 is a huge map that requires a lot of power to run it. I was recently helping another Member with a 770 problem using a custom motherboard high-performance with a 750 Watt power supply. This arrangement could be over kill for your PC.

MSI GTX NVIDIA graphics below 750 cards should work in your PC using a 300 Watt power supply.

MSI NVIDIA GTX N750 TI and the MSI GTX N750 TF if Newegg out of stock then try Amazon.

You will still need to do some research on your own.  You can contact HP Partsufer or HP support and see if HP offers upgrade kits.

  • The HP Pavilion Elite 340uk graphics card upgrade

Hi guys, im using a HP Pavilion Elite 340uk desktop computer that came with a Geforce GT320 video card. The map is gone... dead disappeared and I'm looking for a better replacement. Can I get some suggestions of compatible with my motherboard (MS-7613) graphics cards. ? So, if I change this card with a better, should I upgrade of feeding as well? Thanks for your help.

    Hello:

My recommendation would be to get a GT430... you won't need to change the P/S.

Just make sure you get one with an interface 128-bit for the best performance memory (I think there may be a few models with a 64-bit memory interface).

  • Pavilion e9280t: the graphics card upgrade

I had to spend my original GeForce GT220 graphics card to use at least three 3 monitors so I bought EVGA GeForce GT 640.  When I installed the card, everything was fine until the computer, install the driver and start then computer began to stop and start several times and then stopped at c prompt and siad it is impossible to find a bootable.  Long story short, I had to use my emergency disk and restart the computer.

Then, I started reading Blogs about the HP graphics card chain and one of technology pointed out I should buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and this card will work without upgrading PSU, so I did.  Now, with the GTX 660 computer card keep start and stop and I can't seem to stop.  I spoke with a few outside tech and they said that I need to improve my diet.  If this is the case, then the HP expertise technology was not entirely accurate or I have another problem.

The UPE recommended are: (1) Corsair HX650 and (2) RS-650.  I also read that this MB Pegatron IPMTB-TK does not many power supplies above 550-650 watts.

Can someone tell me what is my computer problem?  Need to pass the power supply and if I do what PSU I can use?  Model and Type to fit properly in the case?

    HP Pavilion e9280t Truckee-UL8E

    Chipset: Intel X 58 Express

Original power output power: 460 Watt

    Hello

The differences between the reference models and variants will vary according to the manufacturer.  See the image below and notice number 6 power connectors that are necessary.  Depending on the configuration of your PC, a GTX 660 can't get enough power to the 460 watt power supply in your PC. As I said earlier, I didn't have a question of power using the EVGA GTX 660.  Graphics NVIDIA GTX 660 cards are border line with some power supplies according to the design of the PSU and the loading PC.

The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would be excellent choices. Note: the power supply fan is mounted upward toward the top of the Cabinet because it will shoot in the air fresh from along the edge of the top side entries.
