PC audio problem laptop 15-g012dx

My audio does not work so I tried to troubleshoot it. The convenience store said that it "might be a problem with my audio device" and that "material changes may not have been detected. I have not tried fix stakeholders or download new drivers. I've had this computer for about two weeks. This is the second time this has happened and it's completely leave out of the blue. The computer says the sound is cut off, but I can't activate it using either the keyboard or clicking the volume control on the taskbar. Any suggestions to solve this?

Hello

Try the following.

Download the Realtek Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

Realtek HD Audio Driver.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop by holding down the key SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the installation of Realtek Audio program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP) once to highlight and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

Kind regards

I tried updating the driver and also searched through preferences and settings but have not found a solution, this is the first place where I've been since then. IT all works very well by means of edge speakers, but even a standard set of headphones seems to miss her.

Thanks for you suggestion, I did since then and he said that everything was working fine. I also tried a number of other suggestions from other sites, without success. I then went to do a physical inspection and when I unplugged the audio cable I noticed that the ring of metal around the entrance of my helmet was missing, I told the person, I bought the laptop. Fortunately he found on his ground, not knowing what it was and put it on the side of "just in case". I have re-installed and the whole works fine. So if someone else is reading this and is not able to resolve a similar audio problem with something to do with the software, look at the finer physical details. It could be as simple as that.

  • Audio problems

Hi, I have audio problems! I downloaded Skype on my windows laptop 10, and I have audio problems with only my Skype. I checked the audio setting on my laptop and they are very well, I tried to save regularly, and it was perfectly good. I checked the audio on my Skype, they seem to be well, but does not record the microphone. When I talk about the green line of volume is not hear me, and move. However I tried to snap my fingers just above the mic, and if I did it really hard two or three times the volume of the green line would move just really slowly, however when I spoke into the microphone it is not. I deleted and downloaded again, but has not fixed the problem and I don't know what to do. None of the parameters have changed, but when I checked my setting of the laptop, Skype was not one of the apps listed as the microphone (and I don't know how to change.) In fact, when I checked all my settings of the computer, Skype did not appear for the use of microphone, speakers or camera (but I get only problems with the audio.) Please get back to me as soon as possible to help with suggestions! I use Skype to talk to family and work, but also to stay in touch with teachers and take classes.

    Welcome to Lenovo Community!

According to the request, we understand that you have a problem with speakers in your Y500.

As the audio cable is present near the hinges and the cable is loose so please bring to the service center to reconnect the cable that might solve the problem.

Hi, John. It's quite nervous of a member of the MS forum say that Dell is responsible to operate Windows. It wasn't Dell but MS who claims that Win10 has most of the necessary drivers and if not then the drivers Win7 and Win8.1 would work.

    johnsdagg
I was hoping that maybe Dell could find in the goodness of their hearts to a updated driver IDT 92HDxxx... pretty please?

I doubt that it is possible for two reasons. Dell went from IDT Realtek as the audio seller so probably not more a a contract with IDT, if IDT even exist anymore. A year ago IDT was acquired by another company. I do not know its current status, but it is sure that the acquiring company will not be upgrading old software IDT. Reference Dell itself does not write the audio drivers. Even when IDT was the seller I believe that Win7 drivers are the final versions - no version 8 or 8.1 I think.

The native Windows audio driver can't stand struggling external mic. It is a MS 'known problem '. MS must implement a decision-making support, but there is no indication that it will be. Meanwhile, you have two workaround solutions. You can switch backwards between the natives and the IDT drivers. At some point Win10 could leave the IDT driver works correctly. Or get an outlet cheap usb audio to the microphone. Struggling running out-audio driver usb Windows native usb and so dependent no driver IDT.

  • Headset audio problem Latitude E5530

    Hello
    I have a Latitude E5530, with Windows 7 64 bit.
This laptop has been formatted in a couple of days and underwent a re-installation from scratch.
I installed all the drivers that you can find on the Web site. The audio works well with the speakers, but you hear no sound if you plugin the helmet. I don't know if it worked before the format; I know that running a different operating system (Xubuntu 13.04 64.bit) everything works like a charm, no audio problem.

Clues about what is happening here?

    Thank you!

    Browar00
Is there an option on E5530 to change the audio output of the speakers/headphones to line-in?

There is no line-in socket on the E5530. It has a simple audio plug, known as a helmet or jack combo. It combines the output of headphone and mono microphone input into a socket. It cannot be used for stereo plug-in software component line

Even if you could change the audio output to the mic input jack (which is not possible that re-wiring of the plug), they are both the same plug. The only change that would achieve, is that the output would be mono instead of stereo.

  • Audio problem in Dell Inspiron N5110 after the migration on Windows 8.1

    Hi all

I installed the latest IDT High Definition Audio drivers available on Dell Support Center for windows 8. After you have installed everything works well, if I use the internal mic. When I use an external mic, after activating Jack microphone, reading of modified record device status "currently unavailable". When I use the internal mic, it works well. I don't know how to solve this problem. Early on I use this laptop, it works perfectly except audio problems. Please share a solution for this.

    Thank you

Thanks for the reply. But Jack mic works well. I need active Rec.playback. When I activate Jack mic and record playback device, then change to "currently unavailable".

  • Low audio problem Windows 7

    Hello

This is my first time to a post here, so I'll get to the point.

So, recently, I just had a virus on my laptop, everything is resolved except my audio problem.

I had to go into "Safe Mode" while the virus was LURKING in my laptop, I had deleted some unwanted files

    It comes from the virus.

ACCIDENTALLY, I deleted half of what was in my "common files" folder witch was located in:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files

I have still a few other folders inside this folder... I used to have a lot, and I think that some of them were important.

Only after that when I rebooted my computer, I realized that my audio seemed low. (My volume was 16% and it is always

the volume loud enough and perfect for me).

Also, YES, I tried the troubleshooting method everyone does, and it is always at low volume.

It does not solve the problem. The same day, I caught the virus, it was withdrawn after a few hours, so all is well.

Well, there you go, that's my problem. Please any help would be appreciated!

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

In this case, I would say that you want to run system restore to recover all the files. After that, if you have any problem of virus.

Let us know we will certainly help you.

    Refer to:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/system-restore-FAQ#1TC=Windows-7

    Note:

When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed after this date are deleted.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Windows 7 Audio problem IDT plays through speakers and headphones

I recently took possession of old Windows 7 Dell Inspiron N5040 my brother who runs the audio driver IDT HD Audio, the problem is that even when headphones are plugged in, the computer still plays sound on the speakers, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver, update the driver software and I still cannot fix. I thought that maybe the problem could be fixed with sound in the Control Panel, however, I can't find the device labeled "Headphones", only two devices listed are "Speakers/headphones" and "helmet of Communications." How can I do so that the system only plays sound through speakers when the headphone is not plugged and only plays the sound through the headphones when they are?

It takes up only if I restart the laptop. Is anyone else facing similar problems? anyone found the solution for this? Help, please
