PC desktop Inspiron 580, which chipset driver to use?
There are two chipset drivers listed for this office:
1 Intel AMT HECI (office of Consumer Affairs)
2 Intel Ibex Peak H57 Chipset
The processor is listed as an Intel i5 - 760 CPU.
Which of these chipset drivers do I need?
You will have yellow! In Manager devices if you install ALL chipset drivers.

Second disk modules and hard memory for Dell Inspiron 580
We have a Dell Inspiron 580, which we try to use once more (been using a Tablet). I would like to know if the following can be used for this computer - especially the memory modules since we receive messages to have "insufficient memory". I can't remember where we got these parts (believe memory modules came from Dell).
Hard drive: Western Electric WD400 [WD P/N: WD400BB-32CLB0]
Memory modules: SNPJ0202C/512 - I have four of these modules
These items (above) can be used with the Dell Inspiron 580?
None of the parties you posted are compatible with the Inspiron 580
The hard drive is IDE/EIDE, which is not supported by the 580. The 580 only supports SATA drives.
The memory is DDR which is not supported by the 580, which supports only DDR3 memory.
chipset driver not taken software supported intel p965/g965
Windows 8 says that I have not installed driver for my chipset. When I run the problem solver, he tries to solve by downloading HECI_allOS_18.104.22.1683_PV. Running HECI_allOS_22.214.171.1243_PV returns the error message "this operating system is not supported" and the installation is abandoned, but I continue to have performance problems. Any suggestions? Should which chipset driver I use?
It seems that the driver is not compatible with Windows 8.
I suggest you to check with Intel press for more information.
New Dell Ultrasharp U2417H old Inspiron 580 MT desktop computer monitor
My new monitor has arrived today, but I can't connect it with the included cables. My old Inspiron 580 was purchased in 2010 and my old monitor used the plug VGA.
The cables provided with the new monitor are the upstream USB 3.0 cable and a DP for CDM cable. It doesn't seem to be a taking of CDM on my desk then, how can I connect the monitor?
My first question to the seller Dell was "this new monitor would be compatible with my old desktop Inspiron 580, that is, about connectivity?" He said yes, he would.
Any help would be much appreciated - but not too technical if you please.

Hi, is - it important which chipset intel to use until the processor is on the supported list. for example Intel 5000P Chipset and Intel 5400 chipset two processors Intel e5400 series so no matter what chipset to use?
Thanks in advance!
Not really. It's really the compatibility processor that vmotion is concerned. Other than that, if you can take, stop the machine virtual and put on another server, even that doesn't matter. Other I/o devices must be supported as well, SCSI controller, NETWORK card, but the chipset itself does nothing, as long as the processor and I/o devices are supported.
Purchased January 2011 Inspiron 580 desktop PC
I want to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 8. The Dell site says that my machine is not supported by Dell for Windows 8. That means it is not possible to use Windows 8 on the Inspiron 580, or does this mean that Dell has not tested this machine for Windows 8 and would not help the problems that may arise? Microsoft Windows 8 compatibility test sheds very little problems for Windows 8 on my setup. If someone advise me to go forward, or just accept that there may be a fundamental reason for not going to Windows 8?
"He's sayings Dell has not tested the machine for Windows 8, which would not help the problems that may arise.
Dell only supports operating systems delivered on a particular machine. Because Dell has never delivered a 580 with Windows 8, there is no reason to test, so they do not have. They don't test and validate systems newer and newer operating systems as they come out. That said, there should be no reason why it couldn't run Windows 8. The compatibility test must be your best indicator.

What processors does the Inspiron 580 support?
I have an old Dell Inspiron 580 system I give to my 11 year old for school work and light online games. I try to understand which processors will support this system. I know it 'should' support a wide range of i3s and i5s, but since the last update of the BIOS has been in 2010, I don't know there is a lot that he doesn't. Course record:
Model of motherboard - Dell 033FF6 A00
Chipset - H57
BIOS - A07
UC - i3 530
Intel Core i3-540
Intel Core i5 650 (3,2 GHz/4 MB cache)
Intel Core i3 550 (3.2 GHz/4 MB cache)
Intel Pentium Dual Core G6960 (2.93 GHz/3 MB cache)
Intel Core i5 760 (2.8 GHz/8 MB cache)
Intel Core i5 750, 45nm, 95w, processor (2.66 GHz, 8 MB Cache)
Intel Core i5-661, (3.60 GHz/4 MB cache)
Before installing the processor, make sure you have the latest version of the BIOS installed.
Dell Inspiron 580 CPU Socket type?
I have a dell inspiron 580 and I want to upgrade the CPU intel core i5 intel core i3. But first, I need to know what is the CPU socket type, so I know which one to buy. I tried to find it on google but I could not. Is that h2 lga 1155 and 1156 or lga h or h57?
Also, if you have any recommendations for i5 processors and then respond!
Dell has tested Inspiron 580 with the following processors without any problem:
- Intel Pentium G6950
- Intel Core i3 - 530, 540
- Intel Core i5 - 750, 650
Your computer comes with Mobile Intel H57 Express Chipset. For more information, refer to link: http://intel.ly/XJYkuG
Click the compatible products for a list of processors that are compatible with your computer. Most of them supported the LGA1156 socket or FCLGA1156. Both are almost similar. Please check that you update the system BIOS before you upgrade the processor on the computer.Dell does not recommend nor upgraded the processor, but it's like your discretion if you really want to go ahead with it. Warranty by saying that the issues raised as a result of the upgrade is not covered by the warranty, but we will continue to support for other issues and parts.

Pavilion 15-e084ca: HP Pavilion 15-e084ca CHIPSET DRIVER for Win 8.1
Looking to upgrade my laptop to win 64-bit and noticed 8.1 in the drivers section there is no driver current Chipset. Why is this? In addition, there are several drivers for the wireless card and the graphics card. Which one should be downloaded and installed? Each of them? I'm a noob big time when it comes to drivers and at the expense of loading windows. Thanks to anyone who responds!

What is the maximum Memroy for an Inspiron 580?
I am confused about the maximum memory for the Inspiron 580.
On the Dell website, it has that 8 GB is the maximum.
When I run the Dell Support Center software, click on the tab of system details under the heading SYSTEM MEMORY, it indicates the maximum supported memory is 16,00 GB.
What is the right answer?
J. Gray and yes I did. As I posted above. Its been running 16 GB for about 4 months now.
According to Panel... it shows an i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20 GHz with 16 GB of installed system, 15.8 GB usable. 64-bit operating system. NOTE: the RAM is outside the EEC
And Yes, it is a Dell Inspiron 580 (per plate). In the event that it is lost above, I wrote on 29/12/2015 (so you have the price, PN and source):
I just powered up with 16 GB in my Dell Inspiron 580. It has 4 RAM slots now x 4 of them at $21 / each (on ebay):
- 4 GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600 MHz 4G MEMORY OFFICE 240-PIN Non - ECC RAM CL 11
I was careful to cross reference, which would be and how fast it was. These are faster they must do, but they were also the cost lowest. The 'old' were DDR3-1333. So these are the fastest (doubt that helps the machine go faster), DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800, alias).
I have had this PC i5 for about 5 years now. I had thought that it was getting old/obsolete, but when shopping is not not bad. So, $80 brings me 6 GB to 16 GB.
