PC freezes when playing games and do some tests?

Hello guys, I built a pc and I think everything works, however, whenever I do a:

-Windows Experience Index Test
-Play games
-Make a simple Stress test

It makes my computer freezes after a few minutes.

    > My laptop (Satellite Pro M70) is overheating regularly himself, especially when playing games or watching DVDs.
Still is it playing games and watching DVD movies to emphasize material for portable computers.
Devices such as the CPU and GPU run with maximum efficiency and produce a lot of heat.
This could lead to problems of overheating, especially if the cooling modules n t work properly.

    > I do not know whence this problem; you have any ideas what I could do?
I think that the cooling modules don't cool the laptop properly because fans could not run with maximum efficiency because of the dust and debris.

The same thing happened to me. I just cleaned the vents using a jet of compressed air. This jet of compressed air can be ordered from different computer resellers and it s a professional tool to perform this cleanup.

I think you should test this.

  • Satellite L655-177 - freezes when playing online games

    Hello
I bought this laptop about 5 months ago and since I'm doing that I had the same problem all the time. Tried a few things to do something, find some ideas on the internet but still nothing.

So the problem is that when I start the game (Ragnarok Online for the most part) every 1-2 minutes I have 3 to 5 sec freeze, it is sometimes even 3-5 sec freeze every 15 seconds. I don't know what is the reason. The important thing is that this happens only in the game. When I use my laptop for something else like watching movies, internet, put in contact with friends and other stuff important nothing like that happens. No gel, it only happens when I play games. For most of these games 'online '. I don't have the same problem with CoD4 or NFS: Most Wanted, so as I said, it's probably that with the games online.

    1. it is not because of the internet connection, I have the router in the House, my friend play the same game all the time without these strange freezes, it have Windows XP.
    2. when I was with Windows XP, I didn't this problem, then, probably, the problem lies in Windows 7.
    3. Windows 7 Edition is Home Premium - 64 bit OS, 4 GB of ram (DDR3), Intel Core i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz
4 checked in the Device Manager and probably everything is up to date if she goes on the drivers.
    5. I read somewhere that some people solved the problem with the evolution of their 850Ghz to 800Ghz GPU clock speed, but I have no idea how doing this with Intel HD and cannot find information about it on the internet.

If you need practical information about what anyone just say =) I hope someone is able to help me with this, it's irritating problem.

    Hi modzel1990,

If you didn t have this problem on Windows XP it seems to be a driver problem or software I think that you have installed Windows 7 recovery disk Toshiba or is it your own installation?

Usually, if you install Windows recovery disk Toshiba you have the box settings and these settings and drivers are pre-tested by Toshiba. This means that the configuration of the software is ok and it of hardware or incompatible game problem

Do you have updated version of DirectX?
Are you using the Windows Performance high power plan?
Have you checked whether these games online is compatible with Intel graphics card?

Generally speaking the clock of the graphics card can t be replaced. Everything is done automatically and if you would even change the clock of the CPU or graphics card you would lose the guarantee

5 is this the problem specific to the COD game?

To work with this problem, refer to these methods.

    Method 1:

This could be a problem with drivers for the graphics card on the computer, follow these steps to update the drivers for the graphics card on the computer:

  • Automatic Updates does not take into account calendar, runs when I'm playing games and kill them

    Windows Update does three things:
-Checks the updates - it takes several minutes of intense activity of disk and processor
-Download updates - this hammers bandwidth
-Installs updates - disc of hammers and cpu

I have a dual system of fast cpu - it doesn't help not-windows update will be hammer any system, as it is not limited - it works just as fast as possible.

Everything would be perfect if it ran only on time, by the windows update control panel.

I put it to run at 04:00, because that's when I'm never on the system. The system is still on at 04:00. It has been set to 04:00 for 6 months now.

However, he always runs updates at other times. More recently, it is said that she checked at 18:26 and installed at 00:50. I've often wondered why my game is either corrupt, only to discover, it does the updates of windows (the other culprit is snapshots in system restore, I plan now by using Task Scheduler to arrive at a reasonable time).

Basically, Windows Update ignore all calendar - as has been complained by many other people.

Its a huge process and it needs to be programmed correctly - at least to run only in idle time.

Is it possible to control the actual schedule of windows update?

Please DO NOT SAY to SET THE TIME in THE CONTROL PANEL as it does clearly no difference to everything that is important.

Also do not forget that all THE STEPS of updating windows are disastrous for a game - worst, it is in fact the verification of updates, but the cheque, the download and installation are all bad - all the parties must be scheduled to happen when I'm not in the middle of a game.

    Hello

Perhaps that the laptop s internal temperature isn't too high in order to trigger an automatic stop, but the high temperature could affect memory modules that cause the gel game.

However the game would not properly because of the old display driver, but I think that it s temperature more related question. The heat dissipation is much higher to play different games, and this sets the temperature to a higher level.

Have you tried to clean the cooling fans? You should definitely check out it!

I have clean the fans using a jet of compressed air.

    OP: Access Violation errors!

I have download games on a game site that I trust and don't usually have problems. In the last 4 months, some of the new games that I downloaded and tried to play, give me the Access Violation error when I try to open the game to play the demo. Now just recently I noticed that several of my games that I bought and played for months, give me also Access Violation errors. I worked on it for months with people in customer service (on the site of games) and have not solved. The strange thing is, I can play some of these games on different websites without any problems or Violations of access at all. Yet the customer service people keep trying to 'fix' my computer, as if it were from my computer something to make this happen. At this point, I'm so frustrated that I had to try to get you all to see if anyone has experience this problem before and/or solved this kind of case before. I tried to turn off my Norton before download and play without success. I've updated everything that could be updated in regards to drivers, and such go.

  • PC freeze when starting games

This is going to be a bit long, I hope that the details could shed some light on my problem. I have problems with the commissioning games. Whenever a game gets to a point where it begins to display 3d graphics, my system hangs. I have searched in many forums and found similar problems, but none of the fixes worked for me.

First of all, I am under 4G of RAM, Intel Pentium D processor, as well to 3.00 GHz and a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT.

A little background first of all. I played World of Warcraft on my pc for a few years now. Back in August, I fell prey to a fairly widespread worldofraids.com keylogger that took advantage of a vulnerability in the Flash Player. My account has been compromised, but restored by Blizzard. I cleaned the files infected my computer off manually, as AVG did not catch them and installed Kaspersky, who caught a few others that I had missed.

Over the next few months, I noticed decreases the performance of my pc. I would get about 35 fps in a fight against a boss, 15 3 next, after that, then on a picture by six seconds. Some of the members of my Guild suggested overheating, but another guildie told that my file has been flooded by debris from the keylogger. He gave me a list of programs to run (malwarebytes, smitfraudfix and ccleaner, among others). I followed his instructions, cleaned the infected nearly 200 registry keys and appeared for the raiding of next week without any problems (I even overcame damage for several fights counters).

Our raid week finished, and in the meantime I played torchlight through steam upward all night before our next raid day. When I logged in the next night, my graphics glitched descent and I was unable to play. The screen would Pixelize, the sound would start stuttering, and I got a bsod. The bsod's happened twice and every other time the pc could just lock or to restart. I thought that this could be a problem with WoW, so I loaded with torches and got the same problem.

My minidumps for the time, I actually got BSOD said being faulty nvidia drivers. I took my roommate's video card and put it in my pc and was able to connect to WoW without crashing, but my sound is released (Windows said it was due to an audio conflict). I put my card in the pc of a friend, and he ran wow without problem. I tried to update my drivers but also to roll back to the older drivers to no effect.

I carried out stress tests on my system and the memory passes, my cpu goes, virtually everything up to the gpu, which still crashes my pc without indicating why exactly. The motherboard seems in good condition, with no bulge or leak capacitors.

In my reading similar incidents, I thought that I might have some residual registry problems so I bought Windows 7 (as XP Media Center came pre-loaded on my pc) and a custom settled 64-bit, spares nothing. I downloaded the new drivers for everything and even updated the BIOS for my motherboard. I reinstalled WoW and it still crashes.

By raising the specs on my card, I noticed that it requires a minimum 400W power supply. Mine was 300W, although she had worked for more than a year without problem. Might think that any change in my settings fan or similar
be just enough power to defeat of drawing, I ordered a new power supply 550W. After replacing it, I fell again. I was able to connect only once for about 10 minutes after replacing the power supply, but the next time I tried to connect (several hours after turning off my pc) it crashes immediately.

I did not get a bsod since the first couple of times, so I don't have the minidumps for access. I have disabled the automatic restart, but which causes just my system hang when I crash and I have to turn off manually.

A couple of things more I noticed that may be linked: when I run WoW since the pitcher, usually the screen would go black temporarily and then proceed to the login screen. Since the problems started, in that brief moment where the screen goes black, it flashes a white text on the screen in a view type BACK. I was not able to read as it happens so fast, but he mentions shading and some other graphics settings. It's a short list of articles, about 10-15 lines.

In addition, from time to time at my computer at idle (not in mode "standby", usually when I'm playing my 360) I hear the speakers make a pop sound, similar to when you turn on the. I checked what could be a short circuit by touching the case, but everything seems to be fine. Electrical installation in my apartment is a little older, but I use my pc, monitor and speakers through an inverter.

I am quite at a loss what to do now, other than trying to replace my motherboard. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to try. Sorry it was a bit on the long side. Thanks in advance.

    Hi digimicah,

Thank you for using Microsoft Windows forum.

To troubleshoot BSOD, start your computer in Mode safe and check:

    Here's how:

    1. reboot your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

2 select Safe Mode when the Windows Advanced Options menu is displayed and press ENTER

If it works with Safe Mode, you can choose to run the clean boot.

You can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

Follow the steps below to put your computer in a clean boot state:

Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    1. sign the computer by using an account with administrator rights.

    2. click on the Start button, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

    4. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    5. click OK and then click on restart.

Check the link to learn more about the clean boot below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click the Start button, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

Looks like there is a problem with the display drivers.

As the posts above mention, the problem comes from your drivers.  BSOD crashes are usually caused by bad drivers (manufacturer's code).  With Windows 7 being again your manufacturer is not fully functional drivers.
Unfortunately, when this is the case there is little Microsoft can do that the problem is with the provider code.  I suggest you knock it down on their support lines (send your incident information) and tell them that you found accidents as a result of their hardware and drivers - they should open the relevant support for you tickets.

    What you can try to:

    1. update all the drivers (sound card, graphics card, etc...)
    2. try to disable caching
    3. try to disable virtualization
    4. try to use the onboard sound with the updated drivers

Make sure you have the latest chipset drivers installed with the latest BIOS.

    WARNING OF THE BIOS:

Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

I also suggest you to download and install the latest drivers updated.

  • PC restarts only when playing games :(

I was faced with this situation like 2 months ago and I think its gpu overheating I checked the temperature is 95 + the BCCode is 113

    And my features are

    Windows 7 Professional x 64 bit

    2 GB of Ram [1 x 1]

NVIDIA 8400GS 1 GB [I know its really old, but there's a solution to solve this]

Intel E7500 2.93 Ghz Core Duo

Power supply - 450 Watt [I usually before 300 that I upgraded to 450 thinking he could fix but didn't]

So pls help and answer the question, I hope you know these problems

Yes - we know these problems.

95 + what... (Too hot) Celsius or Fahrenheit (not too hot).

To do this, then we can see what you have and eventually eliminate the cycles of message:

Click on the button/ORB start in the lower left corner of your screen. Or, press the button of your keyboard Windows logo.

    In the type box:

    Msinfo32

Select / click msinfo32.exe and the system information dialog box opens.

Click System summary, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) feedback here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

In case it is NOT a temperature related problem you must configure your system to generate a dump of crash for analysis file so anyone can analyze the result.

    Here's how:

On your desktop right click on advanced computer, system settings properties and make them look like this:

There is no need to create the Minidump folder as window will create one if it takes.

Then click OK, enough times to close all dialog boxes and restart your system for the changes to take effect.  After that restart, you can go back and check the new settings to make sure the adjustments 'stick '.

There are a lot of temp monitoring programs.

Some people like the free version of Speccy you can download here:

    https://www.Piriform.com/Speccy

A good thing is when you launch it, then cut it, it will continue to show you the temp in the Windows System Tray/Notification area near the clock:

Take note of the temperature when you are not playing games, so you can have a base line.

Then play your game and see if you can recreate the problem of crash while monitoring the temp to see how hot things get before the crash (may take once or twice).

    Hi all

Every time I'm playing games, or play videos, or use my 3dsmax 3d software, everything it slightly pixelated especially in the darkest parts of a figure or a video, I see very clearly separate tones of gray turn into black.its heartbreak once uve paid a lot for a machine. However, Ive updated all my drivers tried all to do right, but it does not work. Please tel me what to do. Oh ive has also restored my laptop back to windows 8, but nothing has been fixed.please help! Also, I should add, there is no pixelation when m using normal windows interface as in icons and stuff of paper painted everything is fine but when I play videos ot games and 3d software, he's just desperate. Here's the perfect image, I might take to explain what is happening!
