You need two things to support a major player:

1. a motherboard with a BIOS and a controller that supports 48-bit LBA supported (or alternatively, an add-in controller card that does).

2. at least SP1 of Windows XP.

Apparently, you have number 2, but not number 1.

  • 380 GB hard drive using only 127 GB?

I have a 380 GB hard drive in my computer, but the computer shows me that I have only 127 GB. Is the space lost forever or it's just unreadable?
Is there a way I can go back this space?
    Thank you

Run diskmgmt.msc check in the lower pane, how the disk is allocated. Any section with a black bar is unallocated space, if you right-click on the allocated space blue to the left, you can extend this player to include the unallocated space

If the disk is divided into 2 partitions blue then the remaining space is another drive and should have its own drive letter.

  • New drive sees only not in disk management

I have a PowerEdge 2900 with PERC6 / i controller. It originally had four drives of 500 GB in RAID 5 MFT, shared between the system and your data.  A year ago, I added a 500 GB drive and the extended partition of data. Now, the data partition becomes new so I would like to add another disk.  Since it is not a GPT disk (the BIOS does not start on a GPT disk) I can't extend the data beyond 2 TB partition but I can live with that by shuffling stuff around with a third partition.

So I put in another disk of 500 GB and went through the same procedure I did the last time. Now, when I look at the virtual disk in the Dell Server Manager there it lists as Go 2 326,25 and if I select reconfigure it shows all six as physical disks part of the table.

But in (Small Business Server 2008 Standard) disk management I see all the unallocated space. just a 125,65 GB system partition and a 1735,29 GB data partition.

    Where's my unallocated space?

Windows does NOT recognize a greater - than - 2 TB disk without TPG - this isn't simply a limitation of the partition.

At this point, there is no way to remove the disc from the matrix, so you'll have to do a backup/restore of a newly configured small table... or add an another disk (s) of the new and set up a new table (each table is seen by the operating system as a separate 'disc'), lose the availability of a disk, but spare the downtime and the headaches of a backup/restore.

    I have a M30 604 with XP - SP2 and bios version 1.7

East phoenix 48-bit LBA compatible bios?

Akuma is right. This is a technical limitation and there is nothing you can do about it.
With SATA HDD, it might be possible to see all HARD drive capacity, but not with PATA old drive.

  • HP Designjet 500 more: DRIVER FOR HP Designjet 500 FILE more

    Hello

HOW to GET Designjet 500 more DRIVER FOR Windows 10 Enterprise 64 - bit OS

Windows 10 is not released until July 29, pilots and what products will be supported probably won't be out until close.  The HP page here says "compatibility tool soon, come back in the end of July."

That said, I use the old driver Windows XP x 64 on my decades old Designjet 650 c in Windows 10 preview.  I think Windows 7 or 8/8.1 drivers work in Windows 10 for the Designjet 500 if there is not drivers provided.  At this point there are sixteen variations of HP Designjet 500 models available through Windows Update, including variants of the 24 "and 42" models, standards, and only, HP and Microsoft provided drivers PS mono models and color and HPGL2 drivers.

  • Where to get the interface for 500 GB drive HARD USB3

The USB connector is damaged, one of the bent pins.
It does not seem to have the expected SATA interface where I could use a different case.

It seems the only way to power and the HARD drive inside the interface, with a Toshiba pcb which includes USB 3.

Can someone tell where I can get one I have many ion of the data on the drive that I can't access?

If I understand you right all what you need is new USB cable, no?

Googling around, I found many online shops, including offers on eBay where you can simply order cable USB 3.0 portable hard drives from Toshiba.

You will find the order in your country too?

I would like to restore my passwords saved (only the passwords, any profile) to my laptop. Available, I have only a backup of my previous C: drive.

    Claudia,
    You must do the following:

    • Locate the backup of your previous profile. See https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile - you will need to manually adjust the location of your backup, and shortcuts like %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto do not work (on Vista/7, %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto is defined as \AppData\Roaming C:\Users\username)
    • Locate your new profile. See above, but here you can use the help-> troubleshooting information button
    • Copy the following files from the old profile to the new profile with Firefox closed: signons3.txt, signons.sqlite

    See https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile#Your_important_data_and_their_files

  • 'Add a storage' sees only 185 GB instead of 8.18 TB

Hello. We use with ESX 4.0 on an x 3850 M2. Have some internal drive (400 GB), an external DS3400 (500 GB), then an extension DS3000 (800 GB) and a new another DS3400 (3 times, TB 1.64).

    3850 x has a fiber channel Brocade in a SAN-24 switch where meets all the DS3400 V3700.

Now we buy another storage V3700 (8 TB) and connect it to the SAN - 24 (properly configured)

ESX sees the Fibre Channel device, detects OK she has a capacity of 8 TB... but I can only create a 185 GB volume.

I found that VMFS has a 2 TB limit, and we will use "extensions", but... whence the 185 GB limit?

Please, take a look at the attachment PNG where a nice print screen displays all the details...

    Thanks for any idea. Sébastien.

Yes, you will need to split the 36 to 2 TB LUN - but don't forget the 512 - b so slightly smaller than the 2 TB.

I don't know were the 185 GB comes from shape, but I've always seen cela how the vmkernel signals a logic unit number when it is too large - it goes back to the time of ESX 2.x.

  • Windows 7 32 bit with 6 GB of RAM 6 but still sees only 2.99 usable. I thought that Windows 7 fix this limitation.

I thought that Windows 7 32-bit(Ultimate version) fixed limit of RAM.  I have 6 GB installed, he sees that the 6 but he says only 2.99 is usable. I have to go to 64-bit?

Yes, you must go to 64-bit to use all the RAM.

32-bit may signal the presence of all the 6 GB but only treaty that 4 GB and part of that 4 GB is used for material - mainly the video memory and BIOS device.

  • MacBook and projector sees only the other

    April 10, 2016

I have an older Macbook, OS10.6.8

I'm trying to make it work with an InFocus Projector model # IN112x

I bought a USB VGA display adapter to plug into the Macbook & connect with the Infocus VGA cable.

I can not get the Infocus projector to 'find' my Macbook. This prevents the search and the search, but the Macbook does not appear on the screen.

Suggestions... knowing that I'm only a novice geek.

    Thank you.

Have you installed the drivers for the USB video adopter?

  • Satellite M30 sees only 120 GB installed WD 250 GB HARD drive?

Recently my native HDD (on M30) crashed and I upgaded with Western Digital WD2500BEVE 250 GB. Disc.
But when I boot the sytem, it appears that only 120 GB is available!

Is it possible to use the laptop the full capacity of the HARD drive? Whow?

    Thank you!

    Hello

The fact is that not all HARD drive sizes are supported due to the limitation of HARD BIOS disk size.
Easy said: BIOS don't support all hard drives.

I've read many threads here in the forum about HARD drive sizes possible max and it seems that a 120 GB of HARD drive is wide that could be used in the Satellite M30.

You ask now for an update of the BIOS. Am I wrong?

Well, unfortunately, the update of the BIOS will not improve the situation and will not use the s larger HARD drive as 120 GB :(

    Best regards
