PCI-6514 ignored supported in Linux drivers?

Hello

I noticed that the NOR-DAQmx base package includes no support for the PCI-6514 Board. Why is this? There are chances that it will be added in the future? NOR-DAQmx 8.0.2 becomes a bit long in the tooth, but it has support for the 6514.

Hello

DAQmx base is primarily intended for OS X and Linux operating systems. Given that the majority of our customers use Windows, and there is a limited amount of development resources, not all of our cards are suppprted on other operating systems. There is a chance that it could be added in the future, but I'm not aware of any current project to test this card with DAQmx base. If you have a Windows machine, you can always use the latest version of DAQmx to communicate with this card. I hope this helps!

    Hello

I'm looking for options to interface with the NI PCI-7332 of g ++ LInux. I found links to the SystemSynergy drivers, but they do not seem to support Linux more.

Linux support exists? If there is no support for Linux, I can code Linux driver myself, if I get access to the documents of description of material (I'm familiar with operations of PCI bus driver Linux issues).

    Hi Peter,

I'm not sure I understand your question. For my part, I downloaded the Motion DDK and I managed to open the help file, and it seems that all the links work in the help file, as you can see in the attached photo.

Could you explain more what that didn't work for you?

  • Linux drivers for ATI 3470 on Satellite A300 - 15 k?

I have laptop Satellite A300 - 15 k with Ati 3470, there is no driver for linux on Ati or site Toshiba, how to install Linux 3470? :(

    Hello

Toshiba does not provide support for linux at this time. There have been rumors that they would install Linux on their machines, but they have not been confirmed and I know: as long as they don t preinstall something on their laptop, they absolutely can't stand.

Usually, it shouldn't be a problem to install your graphics card under linux, according to which you´re use distribution you should check the appropriate forum (for example if you installed ubuntu, then check out the ubuntu forums..)

  • Intel support own Euro drivers WLan-> channels 1-13

    Hello all,.

I spent the last few hours to tweak the parameters of the software/hardware to solve a problem of Wi - Fi connectivity. Finally, I came to the conclusion that my misfortunes caused by the interference of neighbouring access where point and thus began the process of channel in the hope.

This led me to block me on my Wi - Fi router. How I hear you ask? Well it's simple, I had the audacity to put my wireless router to broadcast on Channel 13.

Where my question; Intel produce and support the specific drivers for euro for one of its wireless adapters? For those of you who do not know what I speak no Wi - Fi running on a frequency band public not assigned (by convention).

In the United States, it is in the United Kingdom and Europe channels 1-13, Japan 1-14 channels and channels 1-11. Intel drivers available on the portal of Toshiba updates appear to be limited to the US (ch. 1-11) spectrum that explains how my sick condemned router locked me settings.

Access to these additional channels (Ch.12 - 13) would be quite a boon given the number of Wi - Fi (and other wireless devices) operating from the public frequency band (there are 4 to 7 Wi - Fi access points in range of my laptop only).

    Laters,
    Lee.
    [email protected]

The WiFi channel limitation has nothing to do with the software, but it s a simple hardware limitation due to EU rules, the United States and the Japan.

  • Outputs of PCI 6514 - random VALUES of State

I have a PCI6514 with all its 32 output connected to 24 v dc, that relay Finder pins. These relays have a spool of 0.5W and attract about 20mA each which falls on the side of 6514 which is 75mA. And each relay has its own module diode, inductive Kickback remove freewheel.

The problem that I see is this:

-When all the bits of an entire port said 4.0 to 4.7 are EXTINGUISHED, the voltage on each pin of the port is 4V. (Why it is so high instead of nearly zero beats me)

-Now, I spend on 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 and the voltage on each pin of the port is 24V. (VCC that I offer to the outside)

-At the end of a few minutes, I turn to the WIDE 4.0. But this PIN now holds anywhere between 6 to 10 v, instead of returning to 4V, preventing the Finder relays to drop out.

Problem found on the two new maps PCI-6514. Not sure if these cards must return OR what is 'normal' they behave like that?

The card PCI-6514 has 20 terminals at which you are supposed to connect the 24V gnd connection.

As by bad luck, connections Gnd 24V for 16 terminals were made leaving aside the 34, 46, 84 and 96. And these precisley the COM terminals for the steps.

Once the above terminals have been connected to the 24V gnd, the card works fine. I 0.0V when the port line is on OFF.

  • OFF state of PCI-6514 output card

I have a card PCI-6514 and have connected + 24 V to VCC and 0V from feeding to COM.

I can measure 3V in all output pins when they are in the OFF state. Otherwise, when I activate the outputs they measure almost 24V dc.

I am concerned about the 3V which is always present on pins output even when the pieces are all in the OFF state. Is this normal? (Two new maps are behave this way)

  • All-in-one Deskjet 4535: Deskjet 4535 AIO - Scanner function not supported in Linux Mint 17.3?

I just bought the all-in-one Deskjet 4535. As I could not set up in Linux Mint 17.3 using hplip 3.15.2 and hplip-gui (it wouldn't appear in the peripheral installation dialog box), I used the utility printers (system-config-printer) and configured through CUTS. Even then, I was forced to use the driver 4510, as a driver of 4530 series does not seem to exist.
After having done that, I can print it, but I can't use the "Simple Scan" scanner or any other utility to scan.
I also tried to detect the network with xsane Analyzer, but it would not detect it.

The only way to use the scanner is via the web interface, the all-in-one offers fortunately.

Is there something else to try? The 4535 is supported under Linux or am I out of luck?

Well, I went to hplip.sourceforge.net and I should have started with it in the first place. I solved the "problem" in downloading and installing the latest version of hplip that supports the 4535 entirely. The repo of Linux Mint has an outdated version of hplip and 4535 needs at least version 3.5.11 to work properly. Use the latest version fixed it immediately.

  • HP Envy H8 - 1540t - graphics cards double, Pcie 3.0 support

I have 2 questions about the use of dual graphics cards and Pcie 3.0 support in my machine.

    The machine is:

    Win 8 64

    I7-3820 2nd generation

    10 GB OF DDR3 1600 MEMORY

    256 GB SSD

    This machine uses the card mother Pegatron IPIWB-PB and has 2 Pcie x 16 slots. I realize that using the width double GPUS like GTX 660, the small Pcie connectors next to them will be buried, rendering it useless. They are so my 2 questions;

1.) Will 2 Nvidia GTX GPU 660 is in good physical shape within the machine and be supported?

2.) this motherboard with a Intel X 79 chipset does support Pcie 3.0?

  • JavaFX 8 (Multi-) touch support in Linux?

    Hello!

Multitouch input is expected to support Java 8 SE Linux? I use a touchscreen capacitive with a DMC controller, connected to a PC via USB Ubuntu 13.10, and none of the example code I've tried seem to recognize all key events. In Windows 7, touch events are recognized, I can drag, zoom, etc.

So I wonder if the multipoint touch input is simply not supported on Linux with JavaFX 8, or I have another problem.

    Best regards

    The best way to find out is to check the javafx jira. From here you can easily find the answer :}

The answer is not according to the following jira

GTK: Support multi touch for Linux

  • Satellite A300 - 1 5 ACPI is not supported under Linux

I have laptop Toshiba A300 - 1 5. When I run Windows absolutely everything works fine.
But when I boot Linux (I tested the two 8.10 of Ubuntu and Fedora 10), Fn keys does not work.
Neither is bluetooth, which is a USB hidden and disabled by default.

    I noticed that pilots * toshiba.ko* and * toshiba_acpi.ko* cannot be loaded.
    I tried to load them, but both * dmesg * and said */var/log.messages*: * {color: #000080} not a cell phone supported. {color} *.
    I also tried to use * toshset, toshutil, fnfx *, but they all need * / dev/toshiba * and * / proc/acpi/toshiba * or * / proc/toshiba * exist.
And it is impossible to load them, because the cell phone is not supported.

    I have two questions:

1 Toshiba plans to cooperate with suppliers of Linux in order to fix this bug.
I have visited many Linux forums and many people's complaint they have keys functional unfunctioning under Linux.
So, I think that if the product is thrown on the market, it must be supported, is it not?

    2. How can I temporarily fix this bug to get the missing functionality before the next version of Ubuntu or Fedora? Can someone advice any solution.
(Well, please don't say: leave Linux and use Windows.) I want to use Linux, not Windows. "And I want a job in the same way).

If you want additional information about a bug, I will provide.

  • There are Linux drivers for the 4351?

    Hello Mike,.

No we do not have a driver that supports the PCI-4351 on a Linux system. The drivers current DAQ for Linux is

    NOR-DAQmx Version 8.0 for Linux

NOR-DAQmx Base Version 2.1 for Linux

In the readme.txt file, you will find information on all the different hardware that is supported by the driver. The PCI-4351 is not there.

Another resource to check the compatibility of the driver is to go to the acquisition devices data (DAQ) Installation/Configuration Troubleshooting - Support of the Driver NOR-DAQ.

I hope that this information helps you with your application.

  • Workstation 8 support paravirtualization (native drivers) in the comments?

Currently all iterations of vmware are comments / isolated host and use VMWare supplied drivers for things like graphics cards.  I was wondering if theres any flags or tweaks to a vmx file to allow the guest OS to use video native drivers that talk about the video card to the host via VMDirectPath / IOMMU.  I believe the term is paravirtualization and Xen it currently support Linux.  I don't know if a host Windows 7 OS is paravirtual aware as the Linux 2.6 kernel.

Reason is that I prefer to use the native ATI drivers (or kexts as they are called in this case) for QuartzExtreme / CoreImage support in a Mac OS Lion guest VM, instead of using drivers VMWare SVGA from VMWare fusion which do support not QE/CI, so video performance and QE/CI applications may not work.

a virtual machine can use predefined virtual hardware or external devices connected by USB, parallel or serial ports.

    Toshiba and ForumFolk greetings.

I am considering buying laptop said, but I will so if I can use it with my "Other Operating System". :)

I'm guessing that this laptop is relatively new and I can't find reliable information anywhere, so I'll try here first. What I see, Toshiba supplies only drivers are windows ones.

FREE software drivers only go as far as HD 5890 series for the graphics card. What is the difference between HDMI and DusplayPort?

I'm completely in the dark about the chipsets are actually used for the other components. Some drivers are supposed to be "OS independent", however, following the links for the 3G driver, I get a list of the 3 drivers/utilities for windows.

I guess that bluetooth and WiFi (a/b/g/n or b/g/n?) will be more simple and easy to support with FREE software drivers, I hope. The manual stipulates that WiFi and Bluetooth work in the same frequencies, is it? Any risk of actual use (network dropouts, etc.)?

I don't really like to drive Optics (or speakers and card-slot machines), but which is not being able to use 2.6 and 5.2 GB DVD - RAM?
    All the lights here?

PS: The Toshiba laptops that do not have vents on the underside are there? It's rather silly to laptop manufacturers.

As much as I know that the Wlan card is 802.11(a/g/n) Intel supporting BT as well.

But why you do not use a tool of hardwarediagnostic for Linux?
That would be the best way to get part of hardware features...

Please clarify my above given questions. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Yes, you need to install these drivers.

First of all, download and install the Intel Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56517.exe

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and install the Realtek card reader driver below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56545.exe

Once you have installed the Chipset driver, I would also reinstall the Intel HD Graphics driver on this link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56836.exe

Once again, when this has completed, restart the computer and check if your videos look as they should.

About memory, 4 GB is fine, although you can switch to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB Modules) If you wish.
