  A pdf file (which is a file with the pdf file of letters after the dot in the filename), can be read by installing the free software Adobe Reader (remember to uncheck the box to install McAfee Security Scan) or free Foxit Reader (frequent contributors here prefer the latter).

  If you do not have Microsoft Word, you can read Word documents (files with the doc of letters or docx after the dot in the filename), by downloading and installing the free Word Viewer (read the doc files created by Word 2003 and earlier versions) and the free Office Compatibility Pack (reads the docx files, which are created by Word 2007 and later versions).  If you choose to install these applications, be sure to visit Microsoft Update immediately after to be sure to get a needed updates.

  If you have problems to install Adobe Reader, please provide more information, including the full text of any error message, without paraphrase and the version and service pack of Windows you have (right click on desktop and select properties for more details).

  Your screenshot seems to come from a Mac. If so, select any .eps file you have and that you press Cmd + i. This window will appear:

  Or just install an alternative pdf viewer as the free tracker software Xchange pdf viewer that happens to have a cutting tool built into it.

  I think you can be confused bookmarks with thumbnails. If you click on the miniatures Page icon (the one above the bookmarks icon), you can delete a page by clicking on its thumbnail, clicking the delete page (icon of the Recycle Bin). Just make sure that you see the PDF file in Acrobat (rather than Acrobat Reader), you cannot remove the drive pages.

  When I installed photoshop (CS2), I asked it opens almost all PDF formats.  I now want a differrent program to open PDF files and I want photoshop to stop automatically opening PDF files.  Do I have to reinstall the software to do this?

  No need to reinstall. It depends on your current operating system, but if you use windows, simply right click any PDF file > open with > choose default program. Select the software from the list and don't forget to check the box "always use the program selected to open this type of file".

  Thank you for your response and I am sorry for the delay to return to you.  I tried save the Pages document in a Word document and send it to the printer using ePrint but it is even.  That is to say the handout printed but not the attachment.  However, when we removed the accompanying document and sent the attachment in its own it has worked well for we have managed to solve the problem.   Recently updated adobe and now everytime I open a PDF file that it begins just a new tab in the same window and I have to drag to create a separate window.  It's incredibly embarrassing then is it possible to revert back to open a pdf file opens its own individual window?

  You can disable this option to uncheck "Open Documents as new tabs.." under "Edit > Preferences > general.

  You will need to find a forum for MS Word, since it is the software you are trying to manipulate in the present.  If you think that the treatment/creation of the PDF file plays a role, then you should ask in the forum for the software that you use to create the PDF file.

• Missing fonts on the creation of PDF files, search a font not giving a 'Change' option

  I have a page layout InDesign (urgent work for the necessary client print job later today... of course), which consists of a mix of PDF individual (place) and images, etc.

  When I try and print or output to a PDF file, I get an error about missing fonts.  I will search for a police and shows the connection of 14 missing fonts, it does NOT give me the option to "change everything, or change/find," as they are grey.

  How this can be solved?  I need my output

  Find the police should tell you the PDF is supposed to get the missing font. Dollars to Donuts that it is not embedded in the PDF file (open the PDF in Acrobat and check the tab fonts document properties).
