  We have recently improved our system of IE11 company and we have a lot of problems regarding the opening of PDF files now. We use desktop computers Windows 7 64 bit and I tested on Windows 8.1 and it works fine.

The preview works for me and also a PDF file opens in the browser always (even after a reboot). However, when I installed this for others it was the same result do not load the preview and the opening outside the IE. The strange turn had similar results as before. I connect to PCs others and it works very well but their profile it doesn't. I have reset their server profiles, but it's still a question! As I log in machines of others and it works there seem not to be a PC problem?

  I have searched extensively on the internet and tried all kinds of clearing cache, reset Internet Explorer settings, tabprocgrowth reg, repaired the software adobe reader and adobe reader DC, closed in protection in reader mode, compatibility mode

  I am really at my wits end... someone can help please!

  

  It looks like this case has finally be resolved - we have installed an Adobe security update and it seems to have fixed all of the issues around this now.

  Acrobat > edit > Preferences > Page Display > under Default Layout & Zoom, set "Zoom in" on the value of your choice that you want.

  I found the solution to my problem, fortunately. If ever, someone else come across this problem and found this post. Users were using Reader 9. So I have updated their XI player and did not have the problem again. If this never happens on the road once again, I would say to upgrade to the latest version and you shouldn't have the problem more.

  I have difficulties, preview of PDF files using Firefox. My OS is Ubuntu 14.04 and I use Firefox 38.0, Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0. I'll have a problem that sometimes when I select PDFs, instead of preview of the file, I get a pop-up window to download the file, or view it in an external viewer. I still want to listen to samples of PDF files in Firefox with the ability to download my files if I right click or select Download in the bar at the top of the preview.   The problem occurs whenever I try to open a PDF file of my Zotero library. These files are already on my files for download, it makes no sense. In general, I want to just a quick overview to see which file it is, so if I want to read and annotate the file I select to open it in an external player. The behavior has changed recently, probably due to an update. I tried to go into preferences-> Applications then sought setting 'pdf' and noticed there is actually two different "Content Type" listed, "PDF document" and "Portable Document Format (PDF). In the action menu for the latter, there is an option to "Preview in Firefox" but for "PDF document", there is no option, only 'Always ask' or 'Save file' but when he asks, he gives me only one option to download so both are useless when the file is already on my computer. I uploaded a screenshot it so I hope it helps.

  The file that contains your file handling preferences is difficult to change, so the usual suggestion is to remove and let Firefox build a new and see if that works better. If you want to try it:

  Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
  • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
  • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

  In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

  Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
  • (menu bar) File > exit {don't know where it is on Linux}

  Pause while Firefox finishing his cleaning, then rename the mimeTypes.rdf to something like mimeTypes.old.

  Launch Firefox back up again. If you check your Application preferences, did you notice something new/different for PDF files?

  If there is no improvement, and you prefer to cancel the change, you can exit Firefox, delete the new mimeTypes.rdf and rename mimeTypes.old in mimeTypes.rdf.

  Recently, I have been unable to open PDF documents using this program - up to this point I use it regularly with several of the same PDF files and none of the files opened.

  When I open the file of Evernote, it seems to work fine, RCAA opens but the file does not appear, if I right click and select "Show all windows" the name of the file in question appears on the screen .

  I have taken steps to update the program and I have installed and reinstalled, but the problem persists.

  I also downloaded another PDF reader and the file opens correctly in the program.

  I use a Macbook Air running OS X EI captain, version 10.11.5.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  When I print a book of 13 FM (file > print book > printer: Adobe PDF format), the PDF by default always at opening on page 5. I can adjust the properties of the PDF file to correct this, after it prints, but I suspect there's a default setting I'm missing. When I use Adobe PDF "printer" of other programs that FM, PDF files resulting open correctly on page 1.

  You can get an idea on what elements are the use of how much space in the PDF file by opening the various Acrobat Pro files, and then select file > save as other > optimized PDF - then click on the "Use of space Audit" button in the upper right corner of the dialog box that opens.   I really prefer to not do it manually, to open each file in the visible window of Adobe Reader, and then print.

  Is it possible with Adobe Reader (perhaps with the help of another Adobe product) to print only the last page of a PDF document using some sort of command line without having to open the PDF file in the Adobe Reader window visible?

  When the "Create new Action" checkbox is shown...

  Choose Start with: a file open in Acrobat

  DO NOT CLICK on add a step statement

  Open tools more

  Click once on run JavaScript

  A blue line to run JavaScript must appear on the right side.

  Click on the small box under Options inside the blue line

  A JavaScript editor should appear; Enter the program, and then click Ok

  To save in: select do not save the changes.

  Click Save

  Give a name; you don't need to enter a description (although it won't hurt if you do).

  Named destinations are destinations. You can add destinations in Adobe Acrobat format.
